Enjoy a waterfront stay in a cozy nautical-themed cottage. Modernized to offer the required amenities plus luxuries for the ideal home-away-from home.
Take in the stunning views of Lake Erie and Hillman Creek from our wrap-around deck or retreat inside to bask in the peaceful solitude of life on the water.
Close to Point Pelee National Park, Seacliff Beach, Pelee Island, Wine Country, & Craft Breweries- when adventure strikes you have plenty of attractions to choose from!
We had a fantastic stay. Truly a unique property with water on 3 sides- the sounds of waves feeling more like ocean surf! Sunrise and sunsets were amazing! And the birds were incredible even in the off season. Easy drive to Point Pelee Natuonal Park with the park pass an added bonus.
This is a nice bright space. The views were amazing. We found the seating in all areas to be good. The 2 bedrooms are small but the beds were comfy. Great outside spaces. All in all, it was a better experience than we expected.
The cottage was lovely and spacious. A very good experience. Facilities were great. Supplies such as dish soap etc could be monitored a shade more carefully.
Enjoyed the sound of the waves. Waterviews were wonderful. Lots of birds in the area. Was nit far from Point Pelee which in itself was a wonderful nature experience.
Nice quiet place to stay, very comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen. But shelves, hangers and/or drawers missing in bedrooms, we had to leave our clothes in luggages, not very practical.
This was our second time staying here, and while it was a different experience since we went weeks earlier than before, we LOVED it again! The deck and views are simply SPECTACULAR and is the reason we will come back yet again in the future (though the landscape is changing due to climate change - a couple trees were washed away just from a year ago!) While we didnât see many new birds this time, we were crazy lucky to have watched 9 trumpeter swans call the marsh their home during our whole stay! The included Pelee pass is also so convenient, as we went in and out with ease all week. We cooked at the cottage this time around, and the grill and appliances all worked great (but we do recommend Moonlight Grill, Gingerbread House, and Joeyâs Seafood restaurants!) Remember to bring your own side tables for sleeping if you need them like us, and thereâs nothing but salt and pepper to cook with in case youâre making up a grocery list! Other than that, sit back and enjoy the breathtaking scenery!
Pointe Pelee is 10 km away, and a pass is included. The property is at the end of the road, next to the lake and the marsh. Lots of windows and deck space. Comfortable seating. Views of both sunrise and sunset.
The cottage was the last one in the row and is surrounded by Lake Erie, enabling you to see the lake on three sides with a lovely, long deck on all three sides.
There are about a dozen large urns spaced along the decks with identical gorgeous palms and crimson flowers in each one. Gorgeous!
Security lights flashed off and on every 2 minutes, making it hard to sleep.
Some receptacles did not work.
Silverware drawer almost falls out when you open it.
There was no toaster.
There was only a Keurig coffee maker but no Keurig 'cups' were supplied until we phoned the manager. The person who delivered the cups did not know how to solve the security light problem, and any advice given on the phone did not work as the labelling on the fuse box was so faint you could not read it.
No one actually came to fix any of the problems but only offered advice that did not work.
The large bottom drawer in vanity in bathroom would not close and stuck out in the way.
The bathroom sink stopper did not work.
Because the bedrooms were small, they are not suitable for seniors as convenient access to the other side was about impossible.
There is a 10-12" step from the kitchen to the rest of the cottage and the dining area.
The comfy stuffed chairs were beautiful but if you reclined in them, to close them was almost impossible. There is no lever like Lazy-boys but you have to kick the front harder to close than any senior can.
There is a tiny beach opposite the cottage which we enjoyed.
When we first arrived we realized it was exactly like the pictures. Inside extremely neat and clean. We had an enjoyable vacation and met a few neighbours who told us about the area's history. All in all. 10/10
WOW!!! Thatâs the word my husband and I kept saying throughout our week stay at this AMAZING rental!1. Cabin: Absolutely charming & exactly what you see in the pics. However, no photo of the view will ever do the real thing justiceâŠliterally EVERY ANGLE is breathtaking. We saw birds, fish, turtles, sunsets & even lightningâŠas casual American birders, we got SEVEN lifers just hanging out on the beautiful deck!2. Accommodations: The living/dining/bathroom are wonderful (we didnât use the kitchen much) The beds/rooms are small so we slept separately (weâre 6â & 6â4â so it would have been hilarious to cram us into one) - however, the beds/linens were clean & comfy! 3. Area: It was AMAZING being the last house on the road - felt totally secluded, even when people came to launch kayaks on the other side of the street. Everything is about a 20-min drive, & we picked up food & went to Point Pelee often (we HIGHLY recommend Moonlight Grill & Lounge and Joeyâs Seafood)4. Communication: Frank/Suzy are so friendly & promptly answered all our questions. We had an issue with a park pass & Suzy literally drove a new one out to us right then! Frank went above & beyond to accommodate our requests, which made our vacation even more special! 5. We recommend bringing: side tables, fans, & extension cords for bedrooms. Condiments (thereâs salt/pepper only). Bug tent (didnât use it, but bugs got worse thru the week, so glad we had it)Thanks! Weâre already planning our next visit!
442 East Beach (Belle Vue) is one of them most unique pieces of property that Essex County Ontario has to offer. The cottage is located just inches from Lake Erie. You will definitely have the feeling of staying on a boat ( but on land. No sea sickness). Brand new and and large windows provide the most beautiful view at anytime of the day. Watch the sun rise over Lake Erie and the local fishing boats bringing in their day's catch. Or watch the sun set over Hillmarsh in the evening. This rare location gives you a true 300° view of water at any moment.
