So many bad things with this property, I donât know where to start. Property did not look like it had been cleaned, roach and trash found under the beds in the bedrooms, mattress in every room was uncomfortable, couches had pieces of plywood under the cushions because the couches were shot, no kitchen trash canâŠI had to find one in the shed which was dirty, sheets were put on the beds inside out and did not fit properly, bathroom rugs did not appear to have been washed, food found on a plate in the cabinet with clean dishesâŠI could go on. This property has clearly been neglected. The cleanest places were the hot tub and the laundry room. Would not recommend renting this property at all!
We decided to take our teens on their last Spring Break before they graduate high school. Found this house and the price was amazing!! The house was adorable- very nice and was able to comfortable hold us all. Cute furnishings, views of the ocean, it was perfect. Close to beach access, walk to local restaurants, etc. Hot tub was amazing and very clean as was the shower. The storage unit downstairs had everything- chairs, bikes, shovel, sand toys- fully stocked and clean.
Why the 4 star only rating? Glad you asked...I got a call from the property management company the day before saying there was a water leak but the house was still fine to occupy - just some aesthetic damage on the walls, etc. We decided to go for it since we could still sleep, occupy, etc. What they failed to tell us was the room where the damage was along with the hall way was saturated with water. We had to find rugs to put all around the area and by the time we left the smell of stale water and mildew had started to set in the carpet. We went in knowing it had a water leak but again just looking for aesthetic damage not where we walk and sleep. Again, had they just told us - we most likely would have still stayed there but at least we would have gone in knowing it.
A few things I would update / change: rip all carpet out downstairs and just use throw rugs; for summer months a pool would be amazing to complement the hot tub.
All and all this was a great trip, lots of memories made with our kids!
