An original Granity miners house built onto over the years. The inside is tastefully decorated and fully equipped for a lovely getaway location. The stunning bay window over looks the ocean and is a perfect place to watch the magical Westcoast sunsets. A large built up deck sits at the rear to make the most of the afternoon sun. A perfect location to explore Northern Buller. Close to the Old Ghost road, charming creek walkway and Denniston. Just an hours drive to Karamea and the start of the Heaphy track or a 30min drive back to Westport. If exploring is not for you then sit back with a book and relax or wander the beach. Beach access at the back of the property has become a bit tricky due to the coastal erosion but there is easier access a short 1min walk along the road. Linen and towels provided No smoking or pets on property. Please note.. Shower is over the bath. There is also NO wifi at this property making it the perfect place to get away from it all!
The house was awesome, right next to the beach and the host was fantastic, very quick response time when I lost the keys! Thanks for a great stay, I will be back!
Loved the cottage, very cosy and quaint. Clean and lovely. Love all the art.
Great location.
The only thing is the bay window hasn't got a view of the Ocean as there is a stone wall and flax bushes in the way. But still an easy short walk to the beach.
Thanks, we loved the cottage, and our stay.
Great place to stay to experience a West Coast beach at the front door. Rustic, quirky and a proper Kiwi crib/bach. We loved the blue penguins under the house. Their quirky chirping and calling under the floorboards was thrilling. Eat your heart out, David Attenborough! Never enough to be at all annoying and we actually wanted them to put on more of a performance.
We loved everything about this place and the wild nature of the surrounding mountains and sea. My partner and I needed to re set our mental health and this was the perfect place to do it. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we extended our stay.
A sweet little miners cottage, on the beach at Granity. We loved the authentic feel to the place and the beautiful art all around the home. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was great. The plumbing was pretty antiquated and we were glad we took our own water to drink. We koved our time there, very relaxing and so lovely to have the beach so close.
Great for our family of five. The kids loved it! Collecting stones with access to the beach very close by. Beautiful for early morning walks and sunsets.
An easy drive to so many intetesting places on the coast and inland. Friendly locals.
Very cool, cosy house with everything we needed. Just bring your own bottled water, everything else was close to perfect :)
The only slight negatives was off-street parking is half on the neighbours side and the clothesline could be upgraded. We used it a lot to dry wetsuits, surf gear and damp clothing as there is no dryer. All in all a really memorable stay in a cool quirky house
