Gimli Family Vacation Getaway

You'll have the entire home to yourself including 1200 square feet of wrap around veranda as well as 200 square feet of open deck with outdoor eating facilities. The veranda provides both sun and shade all day long. There is a private fenced backyard with an herb garden. Gorgeous outdoor living space!

Comes with all the summer essentials – central air conditioning, a cozy electric fireplace for cool evenings, fire pit and barbecue. Beach essentials are also included – a wagon, towels, toys, umbrella etc.

All of the bedrooms are large and spacious with high ceilings. The Master bedroom features a luxurious king size bed.
The 2nd bedroom features three double beds.
The 3rd bedroom features a queen bed with a beautiful wooden post bed frame that adds a modern rustic charm.
The 4th bedroom is on the main floor and features a queen bed with double french doors opening to the veranda.

There is plenty of room to enjoy meals with the family in the cozy bright dining room.

Fully equipped kitchen with a prep island and a dishwasher.

Formal dining room and elegant open living room.

The home offers 1 and a half baths. The master bathroom features a large Jacuzzi

Great place

Our family really enjoyed our brief stay here. The kids loved the bunk beds and there was lots of room. The location is great, very close to the beach and walking from everything.

Outdoor Living Gem

This was our 2nd stay at this property. We love the wrap around veranda and outdoor firepit. It is so nice to be within walking distance to the beach and grocery stores. There are some deficiencies but overall, I would recommend staying at this property.

Gimli getaway

The house is large with a wrap around deck/porch. Bedrooms are a good size. Kitchen needs some updating. It’s a quiet area very peaceful.

Family visited July 13-17

We loved the property, very spacious and cozy. Four large bedrooms with updated bathrooms and laundry very convenient. My teenager loved the downstairs bedroom very cozy. The kitchen needed some love and outside area needed a cleanup of cobwebs however that wrap around deck was amazing! We loved spending time relaxing on the deck having coffee or a glass of wine. Would definitely rent again the process was very easy. Thanks Linda!

Thanks for your feedback Michelle. We would be happy to host you and your family again. This year has been a challenging one for insects. We sweep for cobwebs after each clean. Sunset spray is coming to do a non toxic treatment. Most years we try to avoid this as we love our bees and ladybugs. Glad you and your family enjoyed your stay

Comfortable Spaces for Everyone

Our family loves this house and location, which we had also rented last summer. Four large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, spacious dining room, and efficient kitchen, but what we loved the most is the fabulous wrap around deck, with several seating places to visit, to read and relax, to eat together, or to do crafts. A quiet neighborhood, with just a short walk to the beach or to restaurants and stores. Our kids and grandkids all loved our time together. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked, but you may want to bring some extra rolls of tp and maybe paper towels, which we ran short of on both stays.

Room For Improvement

Loved the veranda! However, the kitchen needs an upgrade. The fridge water and ice dispenser was not working and no ice cube trays were provided. Good thing a store is near because we had to go for ice, coffee filters, and toilet paper as soon as we arrived. We fixed some door knobs that were falling off all the time. But, we had a nice time in Gimli and the stay overall was good.

We had so far been fortunate to have amazing guests who understood repected vrbo guidlines and left our property in good shape. The kitchen is always well stocked with essentials. Toilet paper was provided., and restocked during the guests stay as well as many other amenities. We were very dissapointed with the condition the guests left our property. Destruction to furniture, and appliances. Would definitely not recomend as vrbo clients

This place was great for our family!

Lots of space for us all to sleep, as well lots of space inside and out for all of our stuff and people to live comfortably. The deck was a dream! We really enjoyed our stay at this house. This was our first time in this type of rental that we had to buy our own toilet paper and we were pretty sure because of that we would have had to buy more dish soap and garbage bags if we ran out. Found that strange. It was great that they provided water though. It was not dirty but also not clean. Definitely not a big problem. They really need to get some covers for the garbage cans in back lane. For the first three days I had to go out and pick up garbage after the crows picked at it. I eventually covered them with chairs I found in the yard. FYI, only one of the beach bikes was rideable. Not a big deal for us as we brought our own. Just thought you might want to know. John reached out when we checked in and always responded quickly when we had questions. Thanks John! All in all, we would definitely rent here again next time we come to Gimli if it’s available. Thank you for renting your house to us. It helped make our vacation really great!

Thank you so much for you feedback, apparently someone walked through the back lane and took the garbage lids, we have replaced them and they are secrely fastened so that it wont happen again.

Horrible host but nice property

The host was really hard to deal with. For communication before the rental, I always had to contact the host for any questions even though she indicated she would contact me before the rental. The host also indicated that I could have early check-in but did not supply the door key code. I had to phone vrbo to get them to contact her for the code after sitting outside of the house for two hours trying to message her. She then sent the code after she was called the first time by vrbo. The second time she was contacted she answered her phone and vrbo stayed on the phone while I talked to her. She was very rude and confrontational. Once we got into the place and were putting the food away we noticed the fridge was leaking and the freezer door was not closing properly. I reported the problem with the fridge to the host to which she sent handymen to fix it. The handyman then went back to her and indicated that we were the ones who caused the fridge issues and then she also accused my party of not following policy, not claiming the right number of people, etc. even though she knew how many people were on the reservation. To sum it up she was a horrible host and I would never stay there again.

Perfect for 12

Lovely home with fantastic porch on 3 sides and well furnished. One bedroom has room for six, would work best for kids. We only used it for 2. Plenty of bottled water but lacked basics like pepper and garlic but had other spices. The freezer leaked when opened but worked otherwise. Only improvement could be newer non stick pans.

Canada Day Long Weekend

Great space and location

We had a lovely stay. The wrap around deck let us chase the sun or shade depending on what we needed. Lots of cozy corners to curl up with a good book. Close enough to walk to the town and go to the resort for a bite to eat and browse the shops.

Sisters getaway

What a lovely weekend getaway. The house was inviting, comfortable, spacious yet cosy. Very comfortable beds, nice sized bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. The house is in the perfect location. An easy walk to the beach and shops. We will definitely consider coming back for another sisters getaway next winter.

We had a great time with our kids and grandkids. The house istelf was beautiful but lacked in organization and cleanliness. The dining table was big enough for our group but some supports were missing ,making it very wobbly.

Great cottage for families!

This is a great property for a family vacation getaway!! It is close to many amenities that you can easily walk to and can drive out to other areas such as Winnipeg Beach. The house/cottage is large enough to fit two families with kids. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Definitely recommend!

Property was not clean

Lots of dust and pet hair everywhere. Many of us ended up getting allergies. Also furniture/pillows/bedding needs to be updated (was old and dirty). Locations is great, close to the beach theredore might be great for someone who does not care about cleanliness but I had a 2 year old playing on the floor therefore clean floors were important to me.

Unfortunately the previous guests who stayed did not follow the number of pet restrictions which unfortunately led to a lot of hair in the home. We do take cleanliness seriously. We have an experienced cleaning crew who comes in between every visit and the entire home is sanitized and disinfected. Unfortunately, pet hair can linger in the home when previous guests do not follow our rules. I wish you would have contacted me during your stay and I would have addressed your concerns. Also , all of our bedding is cleaned at the required temperatures.
