We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. It was cold outside, but cozy inside. The cabin was perfect for the two of us. Several nice vineyards in the area. I would recommend the cabin for a couple looking for a nice getaway.

Cabin

This is a secluded getaway. Lock mechanism wasn’t working correctly and couldn’t get ahold of owner. Property manager wasn’t able to help. Well water has strong sulfur odor even after draining hot water heater. We didn’t bathe for two days bc of the smell. Dishwasher not unloaded from past renters. Blankets needed washing. Adequate decor, but needs cord management for tvs especially if children were there.

Your feedback is essential to us, and we've relayed your comments to the homeowner, who would like to address the following:Regarding the lock mechanism, I visited the cabin shortly after your stay and found it to be functioning correctly. The lock is new and designed to be simple to use. However, if incorrect codes are entered repeatedly, it will lock out for 30 minutes as a security measure. I apologize for any frustration this caused and will ensure future guests receive clearer instructions to avoid similar issues. Please note that I promptly responded to your messages during your stay, and we regret any issues that were not resolved to your satisfaction at that time. The odor of the water is a common occurrence with well water in the area, especially if the cabin has been unused for a few weeks. Draining the hot water heater typically resolves this, and we are exploring additional measures to mitigate the odor more effectively in the future. I am very sorry to hear about the state of the dishwasher and blankets. This does not meet our standards, and I have addressed these concerns with our cleaning team to ensure such oversights do not happen again. We also understand your concern about the TV cords, especially with children around. While there are limited options due to the setup, we will look into potential solutions to improve safety and aesthetics. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve. We hope you will consider staying with us again so we can provide you with a seamless experience.

Murphy Cabin

Upon arrival at the cabin the first thing we noticed was some garbage left on the porch and one of the chairs had the seat ripped out. Inside the cabin was a nice one bedroom, clean, but there were some issues. First the Mr. Coffee maker had a filter with used coffee grounds left in it for what had to be at least a month, moldy and dried, very nasty. The Keurig coffee maker had water with algea left in it. No toaster. There was a sauce pan with cooked food in it that had not been washed left in the cabinet. The dishwasher had dishes left in it, no dish towels, only one wash cloth. The mattress sagged in the middle so bad we were both having to sleep on a slope and mattress is thin and very uncomfortable.

Wonderful stay and clean cabin

They cabin was clean! It was just big enough for me and my wife! The area around Murphy N.C. is beautiful and it's a quick drive to downtown. Also, close to Blue Ridge, Hiawassee, and Blairsville! There is plenty of things to do around the cabin.

Lovely little cabin!

We had a wonderful time and this little cabin was absolutely perfect for me and my son. We spent our weekend at John C. Campbell Folk School and the drive in was quick and easy. Even though it's small, I will gladly use this cabin again when my husband is able to come with us. The property is wooded and feels secluded even though you really aren't that far out from others. The cabin was as described and very comfortable! I will for sure stay here again!

Great Couple Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. You will need to detach from the internet to enjoy the experience but if your looking to spend a nice quiet peaceful weekend from the hustle and bustle of the city life then this is it. The owner was very helpful in setting up the wireless lock and checked in to make sure everything was ok. All in all a very good experience.
