Great Stay

The room was exactly what we wanted for our family of 5. The bedroom had enough space to fit a pack and play and my two older children switched between the Murphy bed and the couch. The kitchen, although small, met our limited needs for cooking and prepping meals. The view from the balcony was wonderful. Access to the beach and the pools make the stay exactly what we wanted…Easy and fun.

Needed to be cleaned better

It was a nice property but wasn’t cleaned to good upon our arrival and the air conditioner leaked.

Not as advertised

Half the amenities shown to be offered were demolished, been that way for years. Highly disappointed with the price for what was actually offered.

The fact that the property location is near the beach was one good thing about this property. The view was the other.*The cleaning service did a horrible job. The toilet had a sanitized wrap on it so, I am thinking great I like to see that, until. I took off the wrap and reach over to throw it in the trash when I saw the back of the toilet and realized it had not been sanitized at all and, after a long ride with a toddler I could not wait for a cleaner to come. They did offer to come back and clean it, however we were tired so we just did it ourselves because we needed to use the bathroom right away. The shower curtains should just be replaced at this point. There was straight hair everywhere in the bathroom. For the record, my husband is bald and my daughter and I have very curly hair. *The next day we decided to stay in and cook breakfast that is when the first roach appeared. The second one appeared when we let down the bed in the dining area??, yup in the dining area. Then we would just see a roach here and there. We decided to put the bulk of our luggage in the car we didn't want to take the chance of taking them home with us. So, it rained about 1/2 our stay, and they offered but indoor pool water looked green and cloudy so we decided to find other activities to the disappointment of my toddler. There were other guest in that area that said the indoor pool & the hot tub next to it is always that way. We avoided it!

Cleanliness is something we take very seriously, and it's clear we fell short in your case. We apologize for the condition of the bathroom upon your arrival and appreciate you letting us know, even though it’s unfortunate you had to deal with that after a long trip. We'll be addressing this directly with our cleaning team to ensure proper protocols are being followed, especially when using "sanitized" tags. Regarding the roach sightings and the condition of the shower curtain, we understand how unsettling that must have been. Pest control has been contacted for immediate follow-up, and we are taking steps to ensure preventive treatments are maintained going forward. We'll also be inspecting and replacing any worn or unsanitary items in the unit, including the shower curtain. As for the indoor pool, we’re sorry it didn’t meet your expectations. The appearance you described is not acceptable, and we’ve already reached out to the property management to review and address the water quality. Our goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests, especially families with young children. We understand your disappointment, and we’re truly sorry your experience did not reflect the standards we aim to uphold. Location was great, Clean property but needs some overdue updates

Pros: -Elevator and short walking distance to the beach -Plenty of towels in property -Clean floors, main bed, and Murphy bed -Kitchen fridge and stove works well -Room's ocean view Cons: -Check in process required picking up keys in location 10 minutes from property, not very clear instructions about receiving keys/access code, eventually had to call the property phone number to receive new code -Resort parking deck was not large enough to accommodate all guests in the resort. Had to park in second parking lot located across the street. Made arrival/unloading difficult and time consuming -Property kitchen had pans/pots that were unusable as they were rusted and burned through -Some utensils were rusted and unusable -Bedroom was poorly lit. Could have opened curtains to let more light in, but it would compromise privacy as the window was facing the main hallway of the resort floor -Coin laundry machines on site were weak and did not adequately clean clothes -Resort and property were both older and are due for renovations to carpeting, air conditioning in elevators, and facilities

Served it's purpose

While the Caravelle property itself is dated and needs updates and care, the unit itself was okay. After reviewing The Caravelle Resort, we were expecting a variety of pools, which was a disappointment. There was one typical pool for the entire main building. To say it was over crowded is an understatement. There were four elevators, but two were being works on several times throughout the week. As for the unit itself, the bed was extremely comfortable, the view was great, the murphy bed was a great use of space and functionality, and the water pressure was surprisingly good! There was no dishwasher, which was listed in the amenities. Several light bulbs were out, so without compromising privacy with having the curtains open (facing the walkway), we had to move a few light bulbs to get the most light. While I enjoyed sitting out on the balcony, it was difficult to stand and/or keep things out there to dry, as the air conditioning unit drains onto the balcony, causing the entire area to flood. Overall, the unit served it's purpose and gave us a place to sleep at night. We made the best out of the week and enjoyed our time at the beach.
