Coconut Point

Wonderful home in the best location. The pool is a great touch for kids. Having a generator is a big plus but be mindful of the fuel gauge, we ran out and were without power for some hours. There's only one bedroom without its own mini split AC, so all of us were very comfortable at night sleeping besides one couple who were a bit hot even in November. Otherwise it was a wonderful home and John the housekeeper was nearby and helped us out. Love this group and island!

Coconut Point

Beautiful property with beautiful ocean front views. The beach was rocky but delightful at low tide. The pool was an added bonus. The kitchen was equipped and the bedrooms were roomy and nice. We will definitely stay there again

Summer Vacation

We had an amazing time at this perfect slice of heaven. The house was beautiful and well appointed, the pool was delightful, and the views of the ocean were incredible! We practically had the entire beach to ourselves. It was the perfect relaxing beach vacation.

Beautiful property. Spacious home gorgeous views. The beach is perfect. . Only thing I would recommend is cleaning the house a smidge better. It could use a good spring cleaning and clean up all the rusted chairs and junk out by pool. There is no gas grill. An electric one that is rusted

We are glad you enjoyed your stay, but very sorry about the issues you mentioned.  In fact we have already replaced the old electric grill with a new gas grill, and we have replaced the rusty chairs with new chairs.

We stayed at Coconut Point for two weeks. The property was not as represented. The pool pump was leaking from day one and, except for the last day, the pool was either dirty, murky, covered in debris, or unusable. Our host told us to add water daily because the water dropped several inches daily, causing the pump outside our bedroom to make enough noise to wake us around 3am. The host acknowledged he knew about the problem before our arrival. On day 11 the pump was replaced, but the work was not completed until day 13, leaving the pool completely unusable for three days.The house lacked functioning central ac, something the host confirmed after we arrived. Two bedrooms had mini-split units, but one bedroom and the bathrooms had no ac. During our stay, one of the bedroom units failed, leaked water onto the floor, and was so noisy two of us slept on couches for two nights before it was replaced.We lost running water twice. On day 6 the water tank ran dry despite assurances it would not. After being refilled, the house water pump failed completely the next morning, leaving us without running water until late on day 7.The house is beautiful, but it needs maintenance and a thorough cleaning. We cleaned kitchen cabinets ourselves, replaced light bulbs, repaired broken items, and found the advertised kayak paddles broken until they were replaced. Overall, we were disappointed that significant known issues with the pool and air conditioning hadn't been addressed before we arrived.

Perfect getaway

This house is just as advertised. It is as beautiful in real life as the pictures. Double bay is very quiet we could go a whole day without seeing anyone else on the beach. There was good snorkelling right off the beach. Great location to get to the restaurants in governors harbour..about 25-3o minutes drive away and the midway supermarket about 15 minutes away had enough food for home lunches and snacks. This house was perfect for us, family with 18 and 15 year old. If you want a relaxing getaway from it all you won’t find better

This guest had the misfortune to stay right after the new pool was completed but before the contractor came back to remove the last of the construction debris and do a final deep clean. Other than that, and a minor plumbing repair that has since been made, the house is well maintained as it always has been.

I think we only saw 4-5 other people the entire week. The house is nice and was enough room for 4 adults and 4 children. No complaints at all and would recommend. Bonus was being less than 10 min drive to Ten Bay Beach, which was beautiful!

They will be fixed but check to be sure it's done if you have young kids. The internet and tv barely work!

Please see our many other 5 star reviews. (This guest had an agenda.) One railing had broken off the beach stair in a storm and has since been repaired, but the stairs were never unsafe. We host children and families every week. Our beach, Double Bay Beach, is famously safe and beautiful. Internet speeds on Eleuthera are not what we are used to in the U.S., and sometimes video streaming is slow, but the internet is fine for most uses.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing time. The weather, water couldn’t have been anymore perfect. Out house at Coconut Point was beautiful and perfect for what we needed. A few cosmetic details could be used, but that is minor. The master bedroom was hot, but I’m sure that is because it gets all sun. We chatted a boat from Sea Adventures to take us to swim with the pigs, feed sea turtles, snorkeling, lobstering, and swings. Captain Smiley and Smurf were fewer to work with and very accommodating. We ran into a few bumps (no pun intended), but our over all experience was fantastic. I would say definitely do some homework on car rentals.

We are so sorry about the warm master bedroom. We are installing next month a separate mini-split AC unit for the master bedroom, so this will not be a problem in the future.

Paradise

The house was exactly as depicted and the view and access to the beach were breathtaking. We got out and explored a bit but agreed that our beach was the best. We brought water shoes for the beach but only needed them at high tide to walk a few yards to the right of the beach house. At low tide this is done quite easily. Decent snorkeling off the beach. We only saw one other family and it was Spring Break! The minor inconveniences of being on a less developed island were worth the price for this serenity and beauty. The homeowners and the rental agency responded so quickly via email to any questions while on the island. Tips-definitely rent an SUV ideally with 4-wheel drive as some of the roads, especially the last stretch to house, are quite bumpy. Given high prices of food (everything is 2x as expensive), it pays to check an extra suitcase of food, even if just dry goods. Enjoy, you won’t regret it!

Beautiful house and stunning views

The property is stunning and we enjoyed having easy beach access everyday. At low tide, the kids were able to safely explore tide pools and they really appreciated the beach toys.We loved our central location: 20 minutes to Governor's Harbor, 30 minutes to Tarpum Bay, and only 10 minutes to Ten Bay Beach.We had a minor medical emergency and the caretaker was quick to respond and made a call to get one of our kids into the local clinic after hours on a Saturday night. Everyone we met on the island was so helpful and kind.The house was well stocked and we appreciated the little details like extra sunscreen, bug spray, and coolers. The minor only thing I think we could have benefited from was to have a drying rack or laundry line for swimsuits and towels. But honestly, this house was perfect for our big adventure. Thanks for a great stay!

Truly fantastic even through the storms!

What an amazing home and island! We enjoyed every minute, even though we experienced Tropical Storm Nicole while here. The storm took out the steps to the beach but it didn’t ruin our fun. Don’t put much stock in the gripe about rocks on the Beach—there are miles of gorgeous pink sand! Food is very expensive on the island (if you’re concerned about that) so we were glad we had planned a few meals and brought provisions from the States. Roads can be rough in places so watch carefully. House is clean and comfortable with the basic necessities in the kitchen covered. Good supply of towels and beach towels. Island residents are warm and friendly and really amazing people. Overall it was one phenomenal week!

The home was very nice and clean and had everything we needed. This is a great place to relax and unwind. Took a little getting used to the roads but there are so many things to explore on the Island. Our favorite spot was Lighthouse beach and favorite restaurant defiantly Tippy's.
