Two couples - a phenomenal stay! We loved the spectacular views, accessibility to the water - with just a few steps down to the lake - and the beautiful open entertaining kitchen and porches. The individual living spaces upstairs and down for each couple provided the perfect setting. We hope to return again soon.

We have visited this home four or five times now and it's always such a special getaway! There's lots to do whether you want to curl up with a book or canoe around the lake. It's a small drive to get there so try to make sure you have most of what you need. The home is so comfortable and lots of towels are provided for swimmers. Just loved it!

The views were everything I needed. The beach was a pleasant surprise that the kids really enjoyed. The dock was wonderful for tying the pontoon to and jumping and swimming off of. This will be the highlight of the year for four very active young boys aged 3-7.

Great Location

The property was located in a little cove area with a fabulous view of Lake Blue Ridge. The little beach area was a great addition for our two grandchildren. We rented a pontoon boat for the weekend and the dock was very short walk from the house. The inside of the house accommodated our family but would recommend updating the linens and towels and also add some additional kitchen items. Would definitely stay here again!!

Amazing Lake Property

The pictures of the deck, yard, and lake did not disappoint. This is a truly special property, with lake and mountain vistas. The house is thoughtfully appointed and well maintained. Whether you are enjoying a day on the lake, or a cool afternoon lounging on the back porch, this is a great place to enjoy some time off.

Great Property

The property was spacious enough for 6 people and the lake is beautiful. We brought our own boat which proved to be tricky since there is no trailer storage at the house. However, the property manager, Jessica, worked hard to resolve our problem and found us a place to store our trailer. The only negative about our stay was the gnat infestation that plagued us our entire stay. We reported it to the property manager so I'm sure it was taken care of. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Cleaning

Did not feel as though the property was as clean as it should have been. The master sheets did not look clean so we took them off and washed them as well as the bunk beds. Back deck rug was not very clean but I took the broom and cleaned it off. The grill had to be cleaned to use it and the gas tanks were pretty much empty. The property otherwise was very nice and pleasant and we enjoyed the rest of the stay after the initial clean up.

Items not working. The internet did not work when we arrived. Had to spend time on the phone to get it fixed instead of relaxing. Was repaired next day. Dryer did not work. Made owner aware 2nd day of our stay. Was told it would be replaced on 3rd day of our stay. Dryer was never replaced during our stay nor did anyone get back with me as to why. Place is beautiful but horrible customer service.

Here are some insights from the homeowner: -We resolved the internet issue within 24 hours of your check-in and provided advance notice about the problem and scheduled repair. A technician was dispatched and resolved the issue the following morning. -As for the dryer, despite efforts, the technician was unable to repair it. Consequently, we have installed a new washer and dryer unit to enhance the guest experience. -Our records indicate that you contacted Evolve and were issued a refund for the inconvenience caused by the dryer. We hope the steps we took to address these issues helped to mitigate some of the inconvenience. We strive to ensure that every guest enjoys the best possible stay, and we eagerly anticipate hosting many more satisfied guests at this property, as evidenced by our other reviews.

Waterfront Escape on Blue Ridge

The pictures of this house make it look a lot nicer than it really is. The house could be amazing and the property is beautiful. BUT it is in horrible condition. It is super dirty and not kept up at all!! Everything was dirty. All the used food was still in the refrigerator from the previous guest when we got there. Evolve was the management company. They are AWFUL. I will not rent another house they are managing. They use Motel 6 quality towels in expensive homes. It is like the housekeepers from a bad Motel 6 came to prep the home. There are weeds everywhere. The porch furniture wasn't tidied up. If you happened to move a cushion on a couch there were crumbs and dirt and yucky stuff going back forever!! The house looks amazing in the photos but don't be fooled. It has been used hard. Fabrics are all dirty, rugs are dirty, can't even get into master closet because of the disorganized kid stuff in there. I really didn't even want to sit on the dirty furniture in the house. We left a day early. It was very disappointing. Additionally we never heard a word from Evolve after check in or after we left. Horrible company. Communication with them is awful too. You have to have a separate account from VRBO which is hard to use and you never hear back from anyone. Useless!!

Beautiful lakefront property!

What a great Blue Ridge property! The view was just stunning. It was a perfect weekend spot for our family which included our older parents, adults and teens. There was plenty of room for everyone and nice sleeping accomodations. The beds were comfortable and the 2 1/2 baths were adequate for a party of 8. The outdoor living area/porch was where we spent a lot of time, from coffee in the am to grilling out and eating on the side deck. We rented a boat from the Blue Ridge Marina and spent the day travelling around the lake and tubing. There is a little beach area that is in a protected cove that was perfect and the dock was easy to get in/out with our pontoon rental. Pro/Con - the property is located at the end of a point off a narrow road like you would expect to get to such an awesome spot to unwind, con if you have forgotten something or need to pick up groceries or go out to dinner. We ate all our meals at the house so no problem for our party. A few suggestions to the hosts: it would be nice if there were basic pantry items available like oil/vinegar, and coffee, creamer and sugar as it is a drive to the store if you have forgotten them. Also, the grill needs the gas covers replaced so that you don't burn your steaks. The cushions could be replaced on the patio so that you could enjoy the view more fully. Overall, it was a beautiful property. We're considering a trip for the leaf change already!

Rest and Reset Destination

What a special place! Perfect latitude and longitude for some Walden-worthy peace and quiet. Such a lovely, well-appointed, comfortable home designed with good taste and well-thought-out spaces for gathering. Also, some sweet little nooks for snatching a bit of solitude with a good book. If you’re looking for a rest and reset destination, this is an excellent choice.
