FAST wifi, & a 52inch smart T.V with Netflix is included. Heated floors plus air conditioned for your comfort. Separate thermostats are in each Bedroom and living area.

Lovely

Beautiful house, comfy beds, good location, great space and the hosts were amazing. I was a little hesitant to go somewhere that was a shared space, but we had complete privacy, and yet they still attended to our every need. Would highly recommend.

Lovely, comfortable space in hosts’ home

This home is absolutely beautiful inside and outside. The location was perfect for heading to Calgary for the Stampede. The bed and living room furniture were very comfortable.. Everything was clean and well maintained. The hosts are lovely people who make staying in their home a real privilege.

An oasis in Chestermere

I have not had a bad experience with Vrbo; however, I will say that David and Hermie add a special touch as hosts. They communicate well, take pride in their hosting duties, and enjoy what they do. My trip was for work, so I did not get to enjoy a walk around the lake or sit in the garden and read a book - perhaps a reason for a return visit - but I enjoyed having a living space to relax and recharge in as well as a comfortable bed to sleep in.

Inaccurate listing

Simply not Private, we booked 5 nights and left after the first night as privacy was our first need. The host presentation title of the space starts with a Capitalised ‘’Private’’. However you access the space through Hosts Kitchen/ living room area and an open staircase to space in the basement, no doors. Only private space are behind Bathroom & Bedroom doors. All conversations in sitting and kitchenette area are easily heard from host space and vice versa, IE. Hosts speaking together while preparing their morning coffee.Other than that major discrepancy, the space was accurate as described. Well kept, furnished and in what seemed like a wonderful neighborhood. Host and Hostess were both pleasant and curteous and easy to communicate with during the booking process.VRBO has rejected our claim for a refund under their Book with confidence guarantee and has left us hanging with no response to date with our challenge to their decision wich is obliviously contradictory to their policies and advertising.This was our first experience using VRBO and this has fallen far short of what one would expect.

The hosts are very kind and lovely, but the description does not fully reveal that this is NOT actually a private rental. The basement suite is not separate from the rest of the house in any way. This means you enter the house through the main floor kitchen adjacent to the backyard, and go downstairs to the suite area, however there is no actual door, meaning that if the owners are home and on their main floor, you will hear them and they will hear you. The bedrooms do have a door on each of them, but they are not large enough to spend more time in other than for sleeping. So if you are in the living space with the couch, TV, table, you are in an open area that is not separated from the main floor with any kind of barrier. The accommodations themselves were good, but the listing as described made me believe I was booking a private basement suite, where I would not feel as though I were living with roommates. If you are an extrovert and are okay with being with new people, it's fine. And the hosts WERE very nice. But personally, I was hoping to have a private getaway where I could have my own space and privacy and not be in the company of people I didn't know. Their garden IS very beautiful and the hosts were extremely hospitable. But again, just want to emphasize it's not fully private.

We had a wonderful stay at Dave's home. They were available at all times and super helpful to ensure that our stay was comfortable. The location near the lake gives this home a great feel and we have nothing but great memories of our stay here.The home was maintained in immaculate condition and beds and furnishings were super comfortable. We checked in late due to travel delays and Dave was still waiting to meet us and show us the place and we had wonderful conversations throughout our stay.Will definitely consider going back if the chance arises and perhaps stay longer.

House was beautiful, yard was incredible, easy location to get to anywhere in the city. Dave and Hermle are the absolute best hosts you could ever ask for. Kind, caring and informative. Would make a very elegant BnB

Hermie and David are very good hosts and their lovely home would make an excellent BnB The space they set aside downstairs, which is accessed through their dinning room, is separate from the rest of their living space. Although there is no door between their living room and the guest suite, the bedroom doors have a lock, and the only time anyone came downstairs was to collect the dirty dishes in order to wash them. The stairwell that goes up into their living space is lovely and we didn’t hear their conversations very often – unless they were on the speaker phone (cell?).The eating space has a table for two, a microwave, fridge, small kettle & coffee maker, and several place setting – which is plenty if you choose to microwave your meals, or get pre-packaged/prepared food from Safeway, which is not very far from the house. As mentioned, since there is no sink to wash the dishes etc, Hermie came down to collect the dish “tub” daily so we didn’t run out. The location is great if you want to go hang out at the lake or don’t mind driving a bit if you want more than fast food/Timmy’s – we went once to the chain restaurant in the Chestermere Station, which was decent enough for a mid-range restaurant.The garden (Oasis) is lovely and would make an excellent place to hang out but it was a bit chilly for us. This would make an excellent Bed & Breakfast, and is a great place if you want to interact with the owners, who live in the same house.

Quiet and homey

Check in was easy, the owners are very kind and helpful. The unit is very comfortable and the location is very convenient. The backyard is the best part of the place its like being in a Greek resort. Overall the stay was great.

This was a nice clean centrally located place to relax after a day in the hot weather. It was so clean that I didn't even mind walking around barefooted, which I never do in a rental. The hosts were easy to talk to about finding places to see. They had a beautiful yard with a fountain that they love to tend to themselves.

Hovering grandparents, not private.

Exterior property was beautiful. White carpet, no shoes allowed in house. No room darking blinds in my bedroom. Inconsistences on check in and out times. Wrong key code and numbers that stuck. Owners in control of air conditioner. It was a miserable 82 degrees in the basement. Inconsistences on pay for an additional bedroom. If you want to have adopted grandparents, I am sure it would be a pleasant stay. I was there to enjoy a short vacation with my adult children. I didn't appreciate the micromanagement, I just wanted a place to shower and sleep.
