We stayed at the condo for 9 days and starting on the first day we heard construction noises, that continued through the last day of our stay. Traveling with kids and getting no sleep ruined the vacation. We reached out to our Vrbo contact and she said there was nothing she could do about it, that it was a prescheduled event. Since it was prescheduled, it would have been nice to know before we booked the condo, had we known we would have chosen a different place to stay. The construction noise was just one part of the construction inconvenience, we were also exposed to dust from tile cutting on the patio below, which was coming directly into our room, as well as strong chemical fumes from the grout sealer being used. These conditions made the unit unhealthy and uncomfortable to stay in. The condo was also dirty, after walking around barefoot on the tile, our feet would be black like the unit had not been mopped. But our biggest complaint was that we were walked in on without notice while I was in the bedroom sleeping with my two children by three men. The maintenance men said that they knocked and no one answered so they just came in and were walking around in the living room. My husband had gone out to get groceries and when he returned he found the three men in our living room and asked them to leave. Under Florida law, guests are supposed to be given at least 12 hoursâ notice before anyone enters the unit. This was a clear violation of our privacy and safety
