Comfortable 1950s house with lots of original features and large garden . Walk across the road to the beautiful regional park and golf course. The beaches are tidal but great for swimming when the tide is high, the west coast beaches are close by. There is a boat ramp at the end of the street for easy acess to the wider harbour. This is a small settlement bordered by DOC land and the regional park, very relaxing and quiet, great for families and people wanting quiet time, not suitable for parties or loud music.
The house was adequate for our needs as we were visiting friends in the area. Beds were comfortable, the 1950's Frigidaire stove worked surprisingly well and the house was warm with two electric heaters going. It poured with rain for all of our stay so we didn't get to explore the garden. Kerrie is a good communicator and check in was easy.
We chose this holiday house for a last minute, impromptu family holiday. It turned out so well. The house and garden are charmingly old fashioned which rubbed off on our holiday vibe. We sat in the shade of the peach tree for our evening meals. Took walks to the boat ramp beach and through the regional park and along the beaches. Had dinner at the golf club. It was a nice home to come back to and a hard place to leave.Highly recommended.
