Comfortable 1950s house with lots of original features and large garden . Walk across the road to the beautiful regional park and golf course. The beaches are tidal but great for swimming when the tide is high, the west coast beaches are close by. There is a boat ramp at the end of the street for easy acess to the wider harbour. This is a small settlement bordered by DOC land and the regional park, very relaxing and quiet, great for families and people wanting quiet time, not suitable for parties or loud music.
It's a gorgeous and characterful cottage, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay! Kerrie is a great, helpful and communicative host, we'd highly reccomend :)
We chose this holiday house for a last minute, impromptu family holiday. It turned out so well. The house and garden are charmingly old fashioned which rubbed off on our holiday vibe. We sat in the shade of the peach tree for our evening meals. Took walks to the boat ramp beach and through the regional park and along the beaches. Had dinner at the golf club. It was a nice home to come back to and a hard place to leave.Highly recommended.
Fantastic communication.
Very long distance from everything.
No good if you want to cheek out the tourist hot spots. But perfect for quiet times.
House had ants. Also was very cold. No WiFi no microwave no dryer a clothes aryer to help dry items would have helped. Also the fire wood in back. Lean port need to be chopped. The fire is jammed on low so not alot of heat for a fire..... No pegs also alot of food was left in the freezer so no room to put our own. . Deffinality not a relaxing holiday. Felt more like a working holiday
A group of us stayed here for a golfing trip at the local golf course, it was ideal. Loved the retro feel to the place and the location couldn't have been better. Communication was absolutely top notch. Thanks Kerrie!
Such a beautifully set out home away from home. Lovely mid century decor, like stepping back in time. Gorgeous garden and backyard, we felt so comfortable there. The beds were super comfortable, I will definitely be coming back here.
Kerrie was a tremendous host who went over and above to look after us. The property was just as described and we felt at home during our stay. The various fruit trees were such a treat.
We loved staying here in this wee 50s house with some of itâs original fittings and decor but with all the mod cons to be comfortable. Our kids loved the big rambling garden especially picking plums. It was great to be so close to beautiful Awhitu beach for high tide swims and low tide walks. We would love to stay again
