Welcome to Freedom House - 29A Boardwalk

Spend your next vacation at this cozy cottage nestled on the lower Boardwalk in Carlton Landing. Steps away from Boardwalk pool, hot tub, and pop-up shops! Relax in the spacious living room after a long day out on the lake. This home provides the perfect family gathering space with its welcoming and open concept kitchen, living, and dining room. The Master bedroom and bathroom are located on the first floor. Out the kitchen window, you can see the screened-in porch with string lights, the perfect spot to unwind. Upstairs you walk into the cute bunkroom with coastal décor. Go down the hall to the two guest rooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a king bed.

**Pack n Play in the master closet downstairs.**

Freedom House has 1 designated guest parking space, which is located on Center Lane South, behind the Boardwalk. All additional vehicles can be parked in the parking lot behind The Meeting House, located on Boulevard.

Golf carts parked at the property are owners use only.
If you would like to rent a Golf cart, please reserve your cart online through Carts of Carlton at or contact Dr. Doos at.

All of our vacation rental homes at LakeStay are equipped with bed linens, bath towels, a starter supply of amenities, and a washer/dryer unit for your stay. Guests will have access to our community amenities: pool, hot tub, grills, inflatable water park, and seasonal kayaks-paddle board rentals. Freedom House on Lower Boardwalk

Nice, spacious, and well stocked. The back patio was really nice, and there was a friendly cat named Midnight that greeted us at the front door everyday! We would definitely come back to this property again!

Relaxing

We had a wonderful stay with my family at the awesome house. This location is perfect! Walking distance to the lake, pool, and pizza place. We did rent a golf cart for my older parents to be able to get around the property. Very peaceful and quiet. The house was perfect with comfortable king beds. The house was clean and very cute. Great community! Definitely be back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not kidding... you will fall in love with the idea of having a place here for your family. You will see how much more they have to build, how you would be getting in on the ground floor (or maybe the 2nd floor), and you will want to know more about real estate options and end up investing all your spare dollars. This is such an amazing place for families, especially with young kids. Case in point, I was sitting at the fire pit over by “The Meeting Place” and overheard two young girls saying how this was the best spring break ever and there isn’t a ton to do (now) during spring break. Why you ask? Probably bc it is so easy to let your kids run free without worry, they were really enjoying that freedom. The freedom to go and play at the many outdoor activities, the freedom to go to buy a coke on their own, or hit the hot tub. At my age I’m thinking of my grandkids; my 4 kids range from 17-24 and no grandkids on the radar, but that’s what happens to you here. You start seeing the vision of what this can be generationally. The house was fantastic. Plenty of room, excellent location (probably one of the better locations available to rent), and the kitchen just kept surprising me with cooking supplies; never seen a better stocked kitchen. Highly recommend, BUT WARNING you will start thinking of owning your little slice of this heaven.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we had a great time and the cottage location was very convenient to the main area of Carlton Landing. We had 6 teens with us and the sand court, beach, shops, coffee shop, etc were all within a block which was nice. The home was clean and well kept. We were very disappointed that the home was listed as a 4BR/3Bath and the 3rd bath was only a powder room. Because we had 8 people and a mix of teen girls and boys we specifically filtered our search on 3 bath properties to ensure we had 3 showers. This listing should be revised to provide accurate information to renters that it is a 2 1/2 bath property.

LakeStay is incredibly responsive both via phone and email if you have questions and they were extremely well organized with their communication. During the week Carlton Landing is very quite and not much open or going on. If you like more action, I would suggest renting over a weekend. Great family community!

Compact Cozy Cottage

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved being at Carlton Landing and were pleased to find two rentals close to each other to accommodate our large family. It was great being close to the pool, the lake and Mama Tigg’s. The cottage was well designed and decorated and there were plenty of games to enjoy. Unfortunately we had a constant problem with flies, even though we tried our best to keep them out and we were quite a distance from the trash bins. We kept all food covered or stored. We had trouble getting the internet to work and after several tries, that was finally resolved. The rug in the living area was a poor choice for any traffic as it constantly bunched up and was impossible to straighten out. The maintenance man was not available and so a burned out light bulb on the stairs was never replaced.
