Great Get-Away!

The cottage is so charming! I felt like I was in a novel with the perfect view, comfortable & clean cottage & a visiting seal that captured our attention. I’ll definitely book again.

Beautiful and relaxing

The house is well cared for and there is clearly attention to the little details that set the house apart from your typical vacation rental. The view is incredible both from most angles inside and outside of the house. There are kayaks and paddleboards that we took full advantage of to get out on the Sound. We stayed for our 16th year wedding anniversary and we're surprised by a nice bottle of wine left for us when we first go there. I really can't say enough good things about our experience. It truly is a perfect place to stay on the Puget Sound. Worth every penny!

Highly recommend and we will be back!

Our journey started through the booking process on the website. It was so easy to do, and I would certainly book through evolve again. The directions were easy to follow and made the check in process simple. The day of support contact was timely and made us feel welcomed when we had questions. It was easy to find the location via GPS and the key to the home was accessible upon arrival. The stairs getting from the carport to the house can be tricky, so proceed with caution. The house had everything we needed and more. There was not one thing we needed during our trip that the house didn't have. The kayaks were wonderful and made the experience even better. Proceed with caution as wildlife are present. It was quiet and we were never disturbed by neighbors or other sounds. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, it was perfect for two people.

From our bayou to your inlet

Our second stay at Sunrise Cabin was as wonderful as our first. Every amenity a home away from home is available in this comfortable cottage. To top it off, the wildlife outside is a special treat we dont see on the opposite corner of the country. From seals feeding in the daytime to bioluminescent squid feeding at night right off the dock the show never ends on the changing tides. This trip offered up an extra special treat with a rainbow of color from the Aurora Borealis lighting up the sky for hours. We will likely be back again.

It rained most of the weekend so we did not get to spend much time outside.I am sure it’s quite lovely in the summertime. The cabin is cozy and the bed was very comfortable. The water view is amazing. We enjoyed it.

wonderful private location close to the highway

The cottage was super-clean and had a great view of the inlet. We watched the birds feed every morning, including a heron. Kitchen was well-stocked and we had everything we needed. We wish we lived closer, as we would definitely book this property again!

Lovely stay on the waterfront

We had a great time in this lovely house. So peaceful, watching the wildlife and the tides. We enjoyed the kayaks and stand up paddle boards. Great location convenient to downtown Olympia (20 minutes). The place was comfortable, cute and clean. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. Thank you!

Spectacular Hideaway Perfect for Relationship Building

The photos and descriptions don't do this little gem justice. The owner/operator really went all out in thinking of everything anyone could possibly need. From all the little extra notes on how to operate the different remotes, to water toys with beach towels and life vests, to cooking utensils and wood for the firepit, everything. It was emaculately spotless, luxuriously comfortable, serenely peaceful. We have decided this cabin is our new home away from home when visiting our daughter who lives nearby. The location is centrally oriented to the Pacific NW coast, WA Cascade Range down to Columbia River Gorge, and Olympic Range, a 2-3 hour drive to all. Seals and shorebirds in the Inlet/Bayou were a beautiful touch. The owner/operator grasciously welcomed us reaching out via email and text to be sure we knew we could count on them if we needed anything at all, yet they respected our privacy and never popped by to check on us. We did not arrive until after dark and the outside "party" lights were on lighting the path from the parking area to the door as well as around back on the porch. The decor is elegantly cozy with several seating options indoors and out that each have their own unique ambience. Inside, in addition to multiple movie and TV program offerings on the big screen, a bookcase next to the fireplace offers a wide array of reading materials as well as games for all ages and tastes. Outside privacy is complete. The neighborhood is very quiet even on the weekend. The cottage is nestled in its own little cove at the base of a lush hill down to the water's edge. Neighbors cannot be seen. The beach is private and has a natural point that gives it a smooth water entry regardless of the direction of current if the kayaks or paddle boards (provided) are brought out. We liked this cabin/cottage so much that I was hesitant to leave this review because we hope it doesn't get so booked up that we have difficulty finding it available when we return. I love knowing that our search is over for accommodations around Olympia. We will definitely book again and it won't be soon enough.

Time to relax

Such a beautiful private location, right on the beach. Eagles, ducks, and a seal to keep us company. Time to read relax and just watch the tides come in and out. We're going to keep this location, so as we might use it again.

Amazing Getaway

My family loved our stay at this cabin. First of all the location and views are amazing! Yes, there are stairs to get down to the cabin and also to the beach but well worth it if you are mobile. We loved the cabin with cute kitchen with views of the water from the dining room/kitchen and living room. We hope to go back again next year!

Melt your troubles away

The views from this property are breathtaking. Whether sitting by the water, on the deck or at the large windows this property has views that give you a soothing feel and melt your troubles away. If you love wildlife, you can observe many species at your doorstep. We were very pleased with our stay. Home was very clean and inviting to its arriving guests.

Perfect end to our summer

Our stay was exactly what we hoped for. The location was perfection and the home spotless and just as advertised. I often appreciate reviews that give me a heads up about mattress quality, so I’ll share that both beds are pretty soft. Also, don’t disregard the note about access being restricted—if you have mobility issues, the staircase down to the house is fairly treacherous. But if you’re able to take advantage of this home, you won’t be disappointed!

Wonderful getaway

The views were stunning and we enjoyed watching the birds and critters as the tides shifted. The accommodations are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed the kayaks and the ease of access to the water. The location is quiet and beautiful, both sunny and well-shaded. I hope to come back again someday.

Quaint, private and beautiful waterfront cabin.

This is my second time staying here. It’s a beautiful spot and very, very private. Kayaks and paddle boards are provided which is great… no loading and unloading. Just put them in the water and you are off enjoying the beautiful scenery. The host is great and if you have any issues they are there shortly taking care of it. It is a bit of a steep grade getting down to the cabin but if you don’t have any physical conditions it’s well worth it. I will be returning :)

Above and beyond our expectations. The communication was seamless. The Cottage was spotless! We love all the seating areas inside and out. We watched seals playing, duck families swimming, many different bird species and maybe an otter?? Front row seats to the best entertainment I have seen. Do not forget to catch a sunrise. Fantastic views and very private location!

This was a great rental for being right by the water with spectacular views all around and very quiet and peaceful with the location of other houses far enough away that the privacy was amazing! I would absolutely stay here again!

Good stay.

Unique view, great tide and bird watching. Everything perfect but the TV monitor colors messed up, that should be fixed asap. The kitchen is OK with all the needed tools. The two mini heaters had accumulated dust on the fan. The car port has no power plug and there is no way to charge an EV. Overall close to great experience. Good deal for 2 couple during off season. Too many couches/sofa in the living room, why those many?...

Beautiful for Christmas

This is a beautiful 2BR cottage right on the water. It was decorated for the holiday including having a tree. We only had 1 morning we watched the sunrise as it was raining or snowing the rest of the time. The kitchen was well appointed with everything needed for meals. There is lots of seating inside and out. We were supposed to be a party of 4 but covid fear kept 2 from coming. It was too big for just 2. The location is great. It was easy to get to downtown Olympia or the casino in Shelton and to I5 to head for Seattle or Sea-Tac. I wouldn't recommend this if someone has problems with stairs as there are 30 steps down to the front door. If you go in December I highly recommend going to Zoo Lights at the Point Defiant zoo.
