Lovely home in a great location

Very nice property with views over the golf course and estuary. Lots of room to spread out and good facilities for a group. Great location to explore the region or just drink wine and enjoy the views.

Lovely spacious house - plenty of room for 3 generations to spread out. Great location with views and sheltered decks both sides. All the thoughtful touches to make our stay comfortable. Jason was great - very responsive to queries.

Great Omaha holiday stay

Bevan Yee 14:52 (1 hour ago) to me Our family had a lovely stay recently here. Beautiful modern house in a great street. Very close to beach and cafe/shops. Contemporary and very nicely furnished. Clean, tidy, all the modern conveniences. No major issues at all. A guest information book would’ve been useful though. We found by luck the internet password in the cupboard. We worked out there was a water pump switch that we accidentally turned off, so we had no water for a few hours. The house is fairly warm and double glazed, but the kids room had no heater. The host very kindly dropped off a portable heater, which was much appreciated. Host very communicative and helpful and accommodating. Check in and out easy. We would love to stay again in summer (unfortunately Queen’s birthday weekend was pretty rainy).

Very Unpleasent Stay in Omaha

Booked this accomadation for a 2 night stay with friends and family as it looked like a great place to have kids and keep them entertained. When we got there we found there was dog poo in four places on the lawn so the kids couldn't play outside, also there was nothing to clean it up with. The house was covered in dog hair. There was large clumps of dog hair everywhere. All the beddings were covered especially the upstairs master bedroom and there was paw prints in the floor. We rang the property manager about these and also because we had no running water and got no aswer but a text to say she was in a low coverage area and she was sorry. We found the water switch ourselves after a an hour of searching as there was no instructions except to call the property manager if there was no water or power. A few hours later we texted the property manager again about the state of the sheets and couches, but got no reply, so we decided to vacuum the place but the vacuum was broken and so had to improvise and mop the hair up. We sent the manager a pic of the mop covered in hair. There was also no spare duvet covers in the house as the ones on the beds could not be used, as they looked unwashed. We had to clean the BBQ as it had not been cleaned from the previous use. We did not hear from the manager for another 36 hours, that was when we requested she come view the property before we checked out as the property was now cleaner than when we arrived but she was too busy. Finally we got to talk to the manger about the property and she insisted that she was present when the house was being cleaned and that she did not reply to our text 'as there was nothing she could do'. We said that the property does not allow pets so how was it covered in pet hair especially because one of our kids is asthmatic, she replied 'every owner in Omaha has a pet and will always allow their pet on their property and that it was the owners dog that was there before'. We asked her if the duvet covers had been washed after the owners left and she said yes, but how was there dog hair on there still? We got no reply. When we highlighted to her that everything we have discussed with her would be in our review of the house to which she said she 'would reply to that'. We did get our cleaning fee refunded. So if you want an unuseable lawn, to be covered in flee bites and pet hair this is the house for you. House requires a deep clean. Don't rely on the property manager to be of any help.

Thanks for being my first ever bad review... You advised you were going to arrive at 10am, when I hadn't heard from you by 2pm, I assumed (obviously incorrectly) you had arrived and all was well. If you had sent a text as requested about the water switch (which was on when you arrived) I would have easily let you know where the switch was. A shame you didn't enjoy the house like everyone has previously to you. We have taken your feedback on board, the house has been cleaned again since you left and the guests after you had a lovely weekend.

Anzac long weekend

Great time away at this pad on Mangatawhiri with friends from WGN. It had plenty of space and more space than we needed for a relaxing time away at the beach. Very modern decor.

Girls weekend away

Beautiful property with top quality furniture and fittings. Only found out a couple of days beforehand that we had to bring linen which was ok. Didn't think to take dish powder or dishwashing liquid - felt that could have been supplied as we only stayed 2 nights but we made do. Didn't take toilet paper either but there was just enough for us!
