This historic inn is beautifully decorated and each room has its own charm. It is conveniently located on Main Street near restaurants and the lake. The best feature is the friendly and generous host and her delicious three-course breakfasts.

We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay along with a gourmet breakfast each morning.

Large room and large bathroom - comfortable bed. Lots of pamphlets and ideas for places to go from our host. Convenient location in Canandaigua The breakfasts were delicious and at a good time. Everything was perfect. We were in the Muir room.

Charming home with a pitch-perfect innkeeper located in beautiful Finger Lakes area.

Everything. Accommodations were comfortable, spacious and thoughtful. innkeeper was helpful but never intrusive. Breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. Effort was made to locally source toiletries and food. We would highly recommend to others.

A luxurious home away from home

Host Karin was a warm, fascinating person. Wish we had more time to chat with her. Breakfast was so unique and tasty, we started eating a light dinner just so we would be able to eat all that Karin made for us. Even got seconds on one savory creation! Home was situated on a busy street, but strategically located near downtown and Sonneberg Gardens. We walked everywhere! Room was warm and inviting. A little hot our first day, but we opened windows to get comfortable.

Everything! The location was ideal. You were within walking distance of downtown and its varied shops and food venues. The B and B itself was clean, accommodating and historic. Our innkeeper, Karin, was absolutely fabulous!!! She was very engaging with all the guests. Breakfast was excellent. We agree that this was probably the best B and B experience we have had, and there have been many. Would recommend, hands down.

Birthday getaway to enjoy wine tour

My husband and I decided to celebrate his birthday with a trip to Canandaigua for a wine tour. We invited our daughter and a friend to join us. Our room was comfortable, light, warm and charming at Oliver Phelps. Karin was extremely helpful in many ways. She suggested alternative options for our daughter's stay as Karin only had one room available at the time of my call. She was able to accommodate dietary issues for myself and my daughter. And she sent many recommendations for the area.
