Location:
Whether visiting in winter or summer, this gives you great access to slopes and trails, lifts, restaurants, shops, even groceries! Not only does The Lodge at Steamboat have a very good location, but this condo has one of the best locations within the development. If you're skiing home for the day, or just taking a break, you can ski right past the Gondola and back to Apres Ski Way. When you come to a stop, you'll be less than 100 yards from your door! The ski school, ticket office, and Gondola are only about 300 yards from your door! You'll be staying in the heart of the mountain village, with shops, restaurants, bars, trails & paths all around, right out your door. Summer guests will enjoy the direct access to various trails. The Mountain Sneak trail is literally right below your balcony. It connects to the Burgess Creek and Mount Werner trails. These are all paved paths which are ideal for strolling, jogging, or biking. You can follow them to connect to the Yampa River Core trail for access to the Yampa River and downtown Steamboat. So whether you want a ski trail, hiking or biking trail, or paved paths, just walk outside! They're all steps from your door. For those who like a challenge, here's a summer secret - If you hike or bike up the numerous trails to the top of the Gondola, the ride down is free. Skip the cost of the ride and enjoy a bite to eat or beverage with an incredible view before you ride down.
The Property:
This condo has been nicely renovated and furnished. It has an open concept layout that combines the kitchen, dining, and living room into one big, comfortable, and inviting space. The kitchen has beautiful new cabinets, granite counters, and tile back splash. It also has a large island with bar seating for 4. There is plenty of counter space and a pantry for storage. The dining area has an upgraded dining set for 6. In the living room, there is a large sleeper sofa, a big comfy armchair with ottoman, and 2 rocking, swiveling armchairs. Comfy seating for 6 is not common in most 2-Bedroom condos! The living room features an HDTV, exposed beams with tongue and groove ceilings, and a warm gas fireplace that fires up with the flip of a switch. This is a great space to come home to after a day of adventure. Off the living room is a covered deck, with seating for 4. This is a great place for morning coffee, ski and snowboard storage, or in summer, lunch and dinner.
The bedroom situation is ideal for many different types of groups. Bedroom 1 has a King bed and direct access to the covered deck. Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed and a 2 Twin bunk bed. That makes this condo ideal for 2 couples, 4 to 5 singles, or a couple with 3 kids. The living room does have a sleeper sofa for larger groups, or for those groups who want to spread out. Both bedrooms have private ensuite bathrooms and both bathrooms have been renovated with new cabinets, counters, faucets and fixtures. The King master bathroom has an extra large vanity and upgraded shower tile as well. Out the windows you'll have pleasant views of mature evergreen and aspen trees as well as various mountain village area buildings and developments.
Access:
This condo is on floor 2 out of 3. There are no elevators. A few stairs down from the parking lot and then a flight up to the condo are required to enter and access the condo. Once you've inside, everything is on one level. The parking is free, with covered and uncovered parking lots which are reserved for Lodge owners and guests only. Spaces are not assigned and generally there is ample parking. You'll be issued parking permits upon arrival because this property is close to the Gondola, others will wish they could park here! Please note that trailers are not allowed, typically. If you will have a trailer, please contact us before booking, to confirm if it might be possible to park it onsite. If not, we can provide you with information and options for parking the trailer offsite.

** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. ** Cleaning Fees & Lengthy Rental Periods - The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended. For guests who are booking a lengthy stay of more than one week, a mid stay-cleaning fee equal to the final cleaning fee may apply for the second week, third week, and so on.
