Cool place to stay.

I didn't read the details properly before booking. It said two could stay but i mistook that for two rooms. You provided a divan. I slept on that and my stster loved the main bedroom. The stairs were interesting and that was something else i should have checked on because of my sister. A good workout for me with the luggage. I was worried about us making too much noise because it is an old creaky house. I loved it. Thank you.

Relaxing, tranquil and comfortable!

Our favourite accommodation on our NZ vacation (from Canada) Great location, easy walk to the harbour and all the shops, restaurants and museums. Our hosts were wonderful, providing lots of info and directions for our 4 day stay. Beautiful rooms and decor, very comfortable and relaxing! Thanks Ross and Vicky, we would absolutely recommend your home and it would be top of the list on another journey in future!

Close to Ferry terminal, for a departure the next morning Unit is secound floor and very large Clean, bright, and super bathroom No kitchenette- more of a super upscale hotel room Would stay again!

Wonderful Wellington villa

We spent two nights at this heritage village in Wellington. Walking distance to the city centre, right next door to the Katherine Mansfield birthplace museum, and extremely well appointed. Highly recommended for couples.

Sweet street near the PM

It was a very short stay but we had plenty of room and a luxurious bath that I definitely took advantage of. Host was super helpful in pointing us toward food. Darling little mini town just a short walk away. Highly recommend.

A great Thorndon stay

A beautiful old villa in great condition warm and welcoming. Walking distance into Wellingtons CBD, while we stayed we walked almost everywhere, plenty of good places to eat nearby. Great host whom gives plenty of privacy but is on hand for what ever you may need, very helpful. Thank you Ross we loved our stay with you and will definitely stay again.

Period Stay Close to Town

The property was all that you can expect from a period home. Upstairs, big rooms well presented. Away from others. We had three adults which took up the lounge room. so a little cramped. A wonderful lovers location, quiet ideal for two but well workable for three. Host great, easy to contact came and met us on arrival, stayed in touch through all 5 nights. anything we wanted we only had to ask. Good for breakfasts most other eating away from the site. Although on busy street very quiet. Well recommended.

Beautiful property and lovely and private

The property is really lovely - wonderfully decorated, was warm when we arrived and the host was very friendly. We had our 11-year old boy, who got set up in the sofa bed in the lounge. He was super excited to have a TV in his room - fun for him! Very clean and well-presented and in a great location. Highly recommend.

Warm and inviting

Photos accurately match the quality and space. Great clear communication with the owners who are on site and very responsive to any requests, but leave you to full private use of the rooms. It was warm and inviting despite the cold weather. Loved the secure access, comfy bed and great wifi. Perfect for a city getaway or business stay. Lots of cafes and supermarket nearby meant the microwave had good use and I didn't miss having a kitchen. Well stocked with quality glassware and crockery.

My wife and I live in the other half of the house, so are generally close by if you need us. We will always aim to greet you on arrival if at all possible, but if not, we will provide clear instructions for you. There is a locked door between your half of the top floor and where we live, so you do not need to interact with us if you do not want to, even when you come and go you will be unlikely to see us as we usually come and go through a separate entrance / garage.

You will have your own space in this Heritage listed Villa built in 1883. Thorndon is New Zealand' s oldest suburb. We are walking distance from the Thorndon village, the city, the Parliamentary precinct, the Sky Stadium and the Railway Station. The ferry terminal is a 5-10 minute Uber ride away.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

There is a large internal landing adjoining the main bedroom, the lounge/study, and the bathroom that you will have full use of as well. A table is set up on the landing with microwave, jug and toaster, a small fridge for your use. Crockery, cutlery and glasses are nearby including complementary tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The whole area you will have for your sole use measures approximately 11 x 6 meters (66 sqm).
