Farm Stay book a Private Cabin - Relax Breathe Walk

Private country retreat. Get away from it all and come and play with the sheep , goats horses, chickens and mini horse. Collect fresh eggs for breakfast or sit quietly and listen to the abundant bird life. Take a stroll around the 17 acres or take a 15min drive to Montville or Maroochydore. We are only 3mins from the railway station and happy to pick you up and drop you off. Palmwoods hosts the Famous Ricks Garage for all day eating and the award-winning Palmwoods pub all only 3 mins away . The beautiful Homegrown cafe is in town with 7am yoga on a Saturday and the Medicine man a short stroll around the corner. We have a writers retreat set up with 3 authors already published from their time here. We look forward to you taking a break, breathe , walk, refresh and meeting you soon.

The cabin was clean and comfortable. To be met by the host on arrival was great. Even better was to be greeted by a horse and pony walking around. Then goats, sheep farm dogs and of course the ladies of the Manor Chooks. Our cabin had freshly farmed eggs in the room and when they ran out we checked the nest and got more. We did relax and breathed well. The white board in the picture was our welcome. I added the comments on the bottom. You know that big horse in the photo told me the pony went to the doctors the day before. I asked him why and he said he was a little hoarse. Relax we are. Just too short Thanks John and Cath

Unfortunately due to illness I had to cancel my stay. The communications by Caroline and John were very kind, and I know they would have been excellent hosts. By all accounts I believe the accommodation would have admirably suited my requirements. I look forward to a possible trip next year.

Lovely 8 day stay. Roomy accommodation, everything we needed. Super hosts, friendly, helpful, but respectful of our privacy. Loved feeding all the animals treats. Ideal rural retreat.

John and Cath were super friendly and the inside of the accommodation was lovely. Unfortunately, the first impression as you drive into the car space is very average. We thought we were at the wrong place. There is no welcoming front or softening of the area. The entrance to the room is not well marked either. A divider, some plants, a little paint, a couple of nice signs could be added to the carpark area. Sadly it was really not what we expected. Comparing with the inside the outside entrance is not good. The outside matters too. Also just a small mention that the inside of the room smelt a little musky. A reed diffuser or something similar would help. Otherwise thanks for your hospitality.

Beaufitul, peaceful cottage

Rhe property was lovely. There were goats, cheep and horses who were all friendly and liked pats. Cottage was really nice for one or two people. John the owner was friendly and easily contactable. And there wasa pool whovh was so nice on a very hot day. Highly recommend tbis place.

6 night stay

The stand in property managers were delightful people and the accommodation was clean and basic. Not quite the secluded farm stay I imagined but ok anyway. Biggest concern was I specifically chose this property on the basis the listing stated WiFi available which I needed to do online courses, however was unable to access the WiFi in the cabin, so had to set up at the end of the carport with an extension cord to get some connection, but it kept dropping out. Very frustrating and defeated the whole purpose for my booking.

Animal galore

Our stay was amazing here! The cabin was so cute and the bed was super comfy. John and Cath were so lovely, they gave us some bread and carrots for the animals. The animals made the experience!!! So nice to disconnect and stay on land surrounded by nature and animals.

Not up to scratch

On arrive we were greeted by one of the property owners and the dogs and shown to our room. The room was well presented however after unpacking we tried to access the WIFI in the room to no success, after bring this to the attention of the owners we were informed that the WIFI worked out side of the room not in it. The outside washing machine for the room needed a thorough clean from debris and mould build up and we were not happy using it in that state. We also did a sweep of the kitchen and living area and found dog hair though out. The accumulation of these issues actioned us into finding alternate accommodation for our stay leaving the property that night. We informed the owners of our decision but as they were out they could not directly solve the issues we faced. The property the rooms was situated on was lovely with chickens and goats however with was not enough to convince us to stay.

Simply Perfect !

I had the most incredible stay on this property. I was in the Sunshine Coast travelling alone and Cath and John gave me a warm welcome on their beautiful land. The studio I stayed in was simply perfect, it was spacious, had all the facilities I needed and I felt right at home there. The morning sun and the view of the forest around created a serene sanctuary for my experience. Highly recommended especially if you a female travelling alone, I felt completely safe, had lots of privacy, but also lots of warm smiles and friendly chats with the owner and others renting the studios around. Thank you so much for enhancing my getaway Cath and John. I’ll definitely love to come back.

Beautiful land, surrounded by forest with animals and it is a place to share and enjoy.
Also a wonderful place to get away from it all.

The forest, wild life and farm life along with open fields to see animals and paddocks to enter, 17 acres to walk around too.
