Eastwood Lodge is a beautiful and scenic place to stay if you are interested in visiting the Walberswick and Southwold area. It’s located between Blythburgh, an enchanting Suffolk village with historical Anglo-Saxon connections, and Walberswick, a popular seaside destination and home to several stars. The lodge is situated deep in the heart of the Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve, a fifteen-minute walk away from the captivating Walberswick town, and its stunning beaches.
The lodge is comprised of five separate units:
On the ground floor, there is the main unit and a smaller unit, with three more units on the first floor, which have a range of set-ups to meet the needs of a variety of guests.
This spacious, newly refurbished twin unit is situated on the first floor. It sleeps up to four people when the sofa bed is included, and it has its own en-suite bathroom and kitchenette. A separate room with two single beds separates the living room area, with a sofa bed which can fit two people, but comfortable sleeps one person. It is fully equipped, with a television and internet, and the kitchenette includes a microwave, toaster, kettle, and fridge, with all the cutlery and utensils you need.
Firstly, there are communal washing facilities, which consists of a washing machine, clotheshorse and a large sink. Additionally, the guests are encouraged to enjoy the vast garden which surrounds the lodge and are welcome to bring their dogs, at an additional charge of £10 payable in cash to the housekeeper. However, please be aware that there is a working farm next-door, which is not part of the lodge, so we kindly ask the guests not to enter this property out of respect for the farmer.
