Blue Chair Bay offers a 234' sandy beach on Minong Flowage w/ impeccable views!

This 3 bedroom (plus loft/secret hideout for the kids), 2 bathroom Minong Flowage retreat cabin sits on a wooded lot with 234 feet of lake frontage only an hour from Superior/Duluth. The beach is on a private, secluded bay and has a shallow, sandy swimming beach. The cabin offers an open floor plan with a living room and family room (both w/ vaulted ceilings), a large dining room w/ a table that seats 6, huge windows with fantastic lake views, a furnace-grade LP fireplace, stainless steel appliances, laundry, and parking for up to four vehicles. The kitchen is fully stocked w/ pots and pans, coffee maker w/ coffee, toaster, crock pot, blender, utensils, dishware, silverware, and glassware. Plus, did we mention there is a dishwasher!

The cabin has 3 bedrooms, a loft that has a queen and twin bed, plus a pullout sofa in the primary living room. The main floor master bedroom has a beautiful lake view with a king bed, Smart TV, and a walk-in closet. The lower-level walkout has 2 additional bedrooms with queen beds plus twin trundle in each room. All beds include fresh linens; we even have a pack and play w/ linens for babies. There are two bathrooms; one on the main level that includes a full bathtub plus shower and one on the lower level that includes a walk-in shower. We stock both bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, and hand soap. There is also a hair dryer stocked in the main level bathroom. We provide wireless internet, and there are three Smart TVs (master bedroom, living room, and family room). There is also a DVD player in the family room w/ a variety of DVDs to choose from. Each TV is logged into Netflix and YouTube TV. The entry closet includes a large selection of board games, puzzles, and cards.

Three outdoor areas include a spacious deck, lower level patio, and large fire pit on the beach. Outdoor lights are strung throughout the trees creating a serene night time feel. The deck includes a fantastic lake view plus ample seating (a fire table w/ seating for 4 and a dining table w/ seating for 6), and a gas grill (we do not provide propane for the grill or fire table). The lower level patio walkout includes a kid picnic table, adult picnic table, and a bar height two person table. The fire pit sits right on the beach and includes 6 Adirondack chairs. We provide firewood.

The cabin is surrounded by evergreens, pine trees and everything you need to know you’re vacationing in Northern Wisconsin. The lake views from the three outdoor areas provide the perfect family-friendly, relaxing getaway you’re looking for. Being beachside means you’ll want to spend plenty of time in or near the water swimming, fishing, playing water sports, or just relaxing on the dock. We provide inflatable water floaties, a lily pad, and a kayak for your use (including life jackets of varying sizes).

The Minong area is filled with outdoor recreational activities including but not limited to ATV trails, golf courses, fishing, and multiple restaurants/bars on the lake. The Totagatic and Namekagon rivers are nearby where you can go tubing. There are boat rental companies located nearby...reach out to us directly if you’re interested in this! If you are renting during the winter, you will have the ability to ice fish, snowshoe, ski, and snowmobile on the many trails in the surrounding area.

About the Minong Flowage:
Minong Flowage is a 1587 acre lake located in Douglas, Washburn Counties. It has a maximum depth of 21 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings. The nearby Totogatic Park includes a public beach. Fish include Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. The lake’s water clarity is low because of river minerals. The Flowage includes a sand island accessible by boat rental, which provides a family-fun, memorable experience where kids will get “lost” in the many adventures.

Our cabin is located on a secluded bay which is shallow and sandy near the beach. We have a buoy anchored off the dock so you can attach the provided lily pad where kids will enjoy jumping on and off for hours. If you’re looking for a day trip, we highly recommend Hayward or Duluth. If you want to stay close, consider renting a boat and visiting “Sand Island” for the day.
