Red Door Retreat - Dog Friendly - Off peak special!

RED DOOR RETREAT is a beautiful modern 3 bedroom Townhouse situated in the new sub-division at Edithburgh and accommodates up to 10 guests. Close to all facilities.

Downstairs is an open plan kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, living area with TV and Foxtel! google chrome cast, reverse cycle air-conditioner, main bathroom with vanity, walk in shower and w/c, 2 bedrooms, laundry with top loader washing machine.

Upstairs is a spacious main bedroom with balcony with views to Sultana Point, TV on wall, ensuite with walk in shower, vanity and w/c.

Gas BBQ, outdoor setting, fish cleaning facility, and off-street parking.

Garage not for use.

Edithburgh has an excellent boat ramp, jetty, tidal swimming pool, playground, golf course, IGA, deli, fuel, cafe, take away, hotel. Only a minute short drive to the beautiful Sultana Point Beach.

Bed configuration - bed 1 - king, bed 2 - queen plus tri-bunk (double on bottom, single on top), bed 3 - tri-bunk.

Pillows and quilts are provided you will need to bring your linen - pillow cases, top/bottom sheets, towels/bath mat and tea towels - king bed sheets (top and bottom, not including pillow cases) for the main bed can be hired for a cost of $35- if you would like to hire please let office staff know.

Very clean property. Secured yard for dogs. Just a nice walking distance to the beach. it was a bonus to have foxtell and netflix. Beautiful meals at the Troubridge hotel.A shame it wasn't hot enough to go for a swim in the tidal pool.

House was nice and clean but the main bed upstairs was very uncomfortable as so low and not very comfortable at all sadly. House did eco alot so if you had lots there it would have been very noisy, but other wise was great. Would stay again.

King bd bed definetely needs replacing. It is practically slumping in the middle. Everything else was impeccable. No wifi access was a surprise for us but we were fine with that. Good way to disconnect. Otherwise very clean, lots of kitchen tools and access to amazing fishing at little jetty.

We’ll be back!

Loved our stay at Red Door! The perfect place to relax and explore the area. Fully fenced front and back so it was perfectly safe for our dogs to chill out and run around. We’ll definitely be back again.

Beautiful Edithburgh Retreat!

We had a relaxing fathers day stay with thanks to this beautiful retreat. The home was clean, with ample room for guest to stay and the neighbouring people were lovely to talk to. We didnt have to worry with leaving our beloved dogs with someone else as this place was pet friendly and secure making us feel complete that they were with us. The waters edge was only a short relaxing walk away and the Troubridge Pub was excellent in their meals both in taste and serving size. Would definitely recommend this place. Thank you for a good stay!!

Getaway From The Social Grid

Great location, spacious and completely enclosed with fencing which gave peace of mind that our dog would be secure, and the showers are amazing! There is no Wi-Fi in an area that receives limited cell service which made communication and planning difficult. Foxtel is provided, so the entertainment aspect is covered.

The deadlock front door key system is cumbersome as whoever stays home needs to be locked in otherwise they have to be up to let anyone else in. BBQ was unusable plate was totally rusted out and not fit for use. Lucky we booked both houses so could use the other bbq. The shower upstairs had a badly blocked drain that overflowed into floor so we had to unblock and clean up the mess. Screw found under table maybe from table or chair was left in the bench next to stove.

Family Time

Good location easy walk or drive to beach and jetty etc. The house is comfortable and spacious, plenty of room for 9 of us (adults, teenagers & kids) to relax. The large dining table was great for everyone to sit around chat and play board games (amazingly kids didn't ask for the TV on once). The completely enclosed yard gave peace of mind for the pooches. Pleasant stay. Would have liked it noted on information that owners do not supply salt/pepper, oil, toilet paper, glad wrap/alfoil, fly spray etc, to avoid last minute packing of these items. Though did find that most of these items were onsite anyway. Knew we had to take linen, which is already a bit of a pain as it does take away from it being a total holiday if you have bring all these things and have laundry when you get home and would consider this aspect with any future bookings of holiday homes.

I came here for some training and brought family along. Suited our needs perfectly, neat, tidy and clean. Works great, even with our little kids, who have had some practise with stairs, so that was not an obstacle for us. Backyard enclosed, kitchen is equipped with everything necessary. Close enough to the waterfront but also not in a very busy area, absolutely recommend.

Only 3 adults & a dog so probably more than we need, but so comfortable. Would happily stay here again. An appliance problem that we were unaware of until contacted by booking agent who quickly dealt with the issue without any inconvenience. Not only do I recommend Red Door Retreat but we would not use any booking service other than Accommodation On Yorkes! 10 stars for Dee and Sharon from us!!!!

Red Door Retreat Edithburgh

Our stay was very pleasant. I did feel that hand soap could’ve been provided. We left ours for next visitors both downstairs & upstairs. We loved that this property was dog friendly, although on arrival I took photos of small poohs on stones on side of house perhaps a cat or previous small dogs? We picked up after our dog straight away. The oven switch is a little dodgy and may need attention as it was difficult to turn off. Overall we loved our stay and we will definitely look at staying again in the future. Great location & fantastic set out house with lovely entertaining area out the back. Very clean & comfortable place! Thanks very much.

Expectations were higher

When arriving I noticed there was a king sized bed upstairs in the main bedroom. My fault that I didn’t see this in the bedroom configuration and therefore didn’t buy king sized sheets. Had to sleep in other bedroom downstairs which was disappointing as the en-suite was upstairs. Stairs were too steep for my pet to climb up so needed to sleep downstairs also. Kitchen floor had crumbs on it near lounge and kitchen chairs were also dirty under cushions. I needed to put extra cushions from lounge on kitchen chairs to make them more comfortable to sit on. House looked new from pics on website but it is older than it looks. Overall a reasonable place to stay if prepared to walk a distance to be able to access the beach.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall a little disappointed to be honest considering the hire fee. The place could certainly do with some maintenance & up keep, & general repairs for public safety for example electrical switch for oven & hot plates cracked. Had we not had provisions in our 4WD vehicle for cooking that we were travelling in We would have been ropable. The place was however clean enough, not enough provisions e.g hanging wardrobes for clothing, towel rails etc to accommodate 10 people to stay there. If the things that I addressed with management on after our trip to be relayed to owner & then the place could potentially be brought back to scratch. Location is good though, very quiet estate

Hi Mandy, Thank you for your review we appreciate it. We did receive your email re some issues and have forwarded it on to the owners. We hadn't had any other reports from previous guests re the issues you found, so we are glad you let us know as we can't address any issues we are unaware of. The owners have ordered a new blind, outdoor setting cover to protect from the birds has now been purchased, the oven switch was replaced immediately, the electrician also checked the stove top and found no cracks in any of the hot plates. The towel rack has been tightened, the owners will be looking at getting some more hanging space. If you had contacted us whilst you were there about the oven switch we would've been able to get that replaced immediately so you could use the stove.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: spent 5 nights in the property and enjoyed our stay. It had a couple of minor maintenance issues - broken pipe in the fish/squid cleaning area which made it difficult to keep clean without water running into the neighbour's yard; cracked hotplate which could not be used; vacuum cleaner hose could not be attached to the machine due to tabs being broken off therefore not used; outdoor heater damaged. Prior to this stay we had stayed in other accommodation which did not have the same or similar issues. Overall, our stay was enjoyable but there are a few maintenance issues which need to be addressed.
