We had the most wonderful time! The location was absolutely perfect for the trip we planned between North Rustico and Cavendish. We could watch the sunset off our porch in the evening. The cottage was very spacious and had everything we needed. Fantastic place to let the children explore outside while unpacking and packing up when we left. We will be back and will be recommending to our friends.
The location is superb. The view of the sea is A1 (we were at chalet #4) and we had access to everything really quickly.Great place to stay. We had a 12yo, a 9mo and a dog. The dog and the 12 yo had plenty of space to play, run together and enjoy the beautiful weather (30). If you don't feel going at the beach, there is a small pool to enjoy. We recommend!
The outside of the cabins need updating and regular maintenanve would better. Steps need replacing and tge exterior looks shabby. The inside was fine, with the exception of the internet not staying connected long enough tobwatch the tv and the beds need at keast a topper to make them reasonable.
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Very very poorly kept. Nails sticking out. Window fell out in the middle of the night. Grounds unkept. Gaps in the doors. Siding falling off the cottage. Place should be closed and renovated. Rating of 2 is extremely generous.
Lovely rustic cottage. Very comfortable beds. Sofa needs replacing soon as worn. Also 2nd bedroom needs air conditioner as well, as very hot, the additional fan helped a little. Only stayed one night on our travels of PEI. Views and location were great.
This was a beautiful property with wonderful views of the ocean. The only things we noticed is when taking ice from the freezer, the ice holder had leftover chips in it from whoever stayed there last. We wanted to try the dishwasher but no pods were provided. It was perfect for our short stay but needed a little more house keeping.
Cottage was perfect, clean & quiet; close enough to trail to cycle into town.
Had an issue with nails left on parking space from roofing work? Also, patio furniture needs replacing! Overall, great stay! Would return!
Arrived on Wednesday, upon first arrival we noticed the outside of the cottage needed to be painted and some rotten siding. The main entrance (back), the steps were to high and the main landing was old and slanted towards the outside wall (slopped), the flower/flower bed was overgrown with weeds. As mentioned the steps would not meet proper building code due to the awkward height. When we entered the cottage, it smelled very musty, it appeared as though the building was just opened after being shutdown all winter. The weather didnât cooperate (cool) which was a blessing as there was only one A/C in the main bedroom (the other bedroom had a fan) and the main living area had one little fan as well. This was certainly inadequate if the weather was warm. The bathroom toilet is very low and hard to stand up after sitting down, also there was soap scum on the shower curtain (along the bottom). The fridge (kitchen area) didnât keep food or water very cold and the freezing would not freeze water overnight. The top of the fridge was all dented as well. Over our 3-night stay we killed approximately 12 spiders inside the cottage (totally unacceptable), we had to spray Raid in one room. The light fixtures contained various unmatched bulbs and some without shades, although these isnât major it is an unnecessary and easily fixed cosmetic issue. Most rooms had small holes of marks in the wall which should have been filled and painted, again not a deal breaker, very poor maintenance.
We had a lovely stay. The place was very clean, check in was easy and the folks were very responsive to messages. The cost for three nights was very high especially given that the cottage was not in good shape. Missing light bulbs, dishwasher not secured to cabinets, back door threshold rotten, windows not work well and the exterior was in disrepair. Everything looked very tired and old. Needs lots of updating. Has great potential to be wonderful as the location is perfect and the property is pretty. Love that they allow pets.
Inside of the cabin was clean, things were worn, but clean inside. All three beds were hard as rocks.
Outside it needed to be wiper sniper badly, it was all tall grass around the deck & a few deck boards were sticking up because they needed to be re screwed. Also 3 out of 4 of the deck chairs were broken, we didnât dare set on them.
Also under our deck was 3 bags of dog poop which I assume were from the renter before us and the old fire pit with holes in it was just tossed under the deck.
The fridge also needs some love, it froze all our food & you were not able to re adjust the temperature.
Upon arrival, our accommodations were very cold. It would have been nice if the heat had been turned on for us. There was not a mattress cover on the pullout couch. The entrance door has a huge gap where wind and rain were coming in. The beds were comfortable and everything else was sufficient.
Everything was as described. The location was great. The view was beautiful. We had plenty of space. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. We had a great stay and would definitely come back!!
This property was perfect for a family with kids because of the pool, the small playground and trampoline, and the collection of DVDs and books in the office. The location is fabulous - a short drive to the Cavendish Beach - but not within a crowded area. The price is affordable for so well located and well stocked a cottage plus mentioned amenities. Bedrooms were spacious with good storage for clothes. The kitchen area could have been cleaner, but it was fully supplied. Previous renters stored pots and pans, dishes and utensils that were hand -washed (despite a working dishwasher) and still grimy. So we needed to wash numerous items before we used them. Our main concern was that the area at the driveway with garbage and recycling bins was a complete mess. Bins were over full so bags were left near the bins and open to animals and attracting flies. We would go back if we return to Cavendish.
We had a nice stay. The location is awesome. The cottages look a little tired and could use a little refresh, but they had all the necessities. The pool on site was a big plus with the kids, they really enjoyed it. Our fridge was of poor quality, food got frozen which is unfortunate. Would have liked to have had the tools for eating lobster in our cottage, seems like an essential in PEI. We would stay again despite these little setbacks.
Not as advertised but ok if staying on the go everday
The cottages need a lot of updating. Trim and roofs chipping and run down (not in the pics). The heated pool is very small and not actually heated in terms of temperature. The fire pit was basically falling apart and the trampoline had a hole in it. Had to ask for basic cleaning supplies and towels for the day for showering had to be requested.
Overall it is was alright as we were away most everyday, however not a place to stay at for hours on end.
