Large, kid friendly, private home on a brick street, 10 mins from downtown
This late Victorian (1905) three-story, two full bath house has a full nursery set up with crib, changing table and a futon for an adult. It has four other bedrooms (3 double beds, 1 queen), couch in the living room, and laundry in the basement. There are two decorative fireplaces, a full eat-in kitchen with all the dishes, pots & pans, etc. and a dining room. There is a great deal of natural light and a large front porch for you to relax on. In addition, the backyard is yours to enjoy.
Really enjoyed our stay, close enough to downtown Pittsburgh that Urber ride there was not too $$
Only suggestion⊠and it a very small one âŠis you should have coasters for the table in den to protect the table!;)
Other then that⊠great place

This house is full of character and charm: original wood features, large rooms, comfortable beds, and the living room and dining room are perfect for family bonding. The host was very easy to work with. We were able to get everywhere we wanted to go in Pittsburgh in 15-20 minutes, and parking was never an issue. Plus, dog friendly!
The property is located in a nice neighborhood with plenty of on street parking. Close to downtown Pittsburgh. The house is very old, but has all the amenities we needed for our weekend stay.
We had 5 guys in our group so we needed lots of beds and space for our weekend baseball trip. This house worked great for us. Lots of space and convenient to the stadium and downtown. Grocery store nearby made it easy to get food. Our host was great about communicating what we needed to do etc. Would definitely consider this place for a future trip!
The house is beatiful and fully stocked with any items we needed. Traveling with kids can be hard and the amenities the house had like a toddler potty seat were life saving. Very responsive to each of my messages. Slight misunderstanding as the room breakdown looks like one room should have 2 beds but its only 1 bed per room and the crib. Overall worked out perfect and is super close to the pirates stadium.
The property needs a little TLC knobs in the showers and sinks. Donât work. The washer and dryer area was frightening, and the mattresses were frightening. They had stains all over them.
We were two families meeting in Pittsburgh for the weekend. The house provided what we needed: multiple bedrooms and baths, easy parking and easy access to the city. It is an older house with quirks (e.g. water pressure varies, older appliances) but it worked for our group. Thanks!
This is a beautiful, older home, with tons of character in a beautiful neighborhood. The home came with everything needed during the stay - toiletries, linens, Smart TV in the living room, good wifi, well-equipped kitchen, appliances, washer/dryer.
The owner did an excellent job with communicating how to check in, and explaining the ins and outs of staying there and checking out. It was a really wonderful experience for the four adults in our group, who were visiting family in the area for the holiday.
Just 5 guys coming in for the Steeler game. All that matters to us is a coffee maker and comfortable beds. This house is as spacious as it gets. Literally a 10 minute drive to the stadiums, Strip District, and South Side. Very peaceful and quiet neighborhood.
The house is old, but so charming on the inside! Beautiful woodwork and lovely staircase and fireplaces (donât work) but stunning! The house is comfortable and spacious, 5 bedrooms and two baths. We were close to everything in town. Went to Phipps Conservatory and Kennywood and no matter where we wanted to go, we were only 10-15 minutes away. Would highly recommended for families and groups.
I booked this house Primarily for its location, my daughter and we were here for a week to go through her storage units and prepare to Move stuff out of the storage units. Extremely Tight schedule to get things done. We had issues with the refrigerator, but the owner was very quick to fix that so very thankful but the home was not quite what we expected.
The home is much older and had a lot of character. Loved the beautiful entryway and staircase. The property has deferred maintenance and needs major updates. Location was great.
The listing states it has window units for cooling however, there are only 3 undersized units in 3 of 5 bedrooms. No other window units in the house including the main level. Very few windows to open to get any air flow. Cooking in the kitchen was miserably hot and the back door was dead bolted closed so no way to cool the kitchen down.
We spent a great deal of time outside on the front porch because it was cooler than inside. The host kept the Ring camera on the entire time we were outside. We did not appreciate the invasion of privacy in the only space we had to relax and cool off.
The beds are all very, very old and uncomfortable.
We felt the property was overpriced for the overall condition.
Four of us came out to Pittsburgh for a weekend of baseball.
The house was clean, comfortable and conveniently located.
Everything that we needed for our stay was provided and communication with the host prior to our arrival was timely and detailed.
As an older house, there are things that could be updated or replaced, but for
our purposes it was perfect. An air conditioner for the second floor bedroom would be nice, as it reached the 90's when we were there and sleeping was a bit uncomfortable.
Lovely property. Plumbing could use some work. First floor bathroom had sewage smell. Other than that, good accommodations, plenty of room for a large family.
Comfortable victorian convenient to downtown and cranberry areas
Talk about a lot of room? Wow. High ceilings, period furnishings, comfortable beds. Everything you need. GReat communications. Easy street parking (just don't park in front of neighbor). Convenient drive to stadiums, and easy drive North toward cranberry as well. Neighborhood street with little traffic. Complete instructions provided for easy in and out.
I bought this house in 1999. I lived there for 20+ years before moving in with my now husband. This was my first house, and I loved living there. It is a classic 4-square Pittsburgh house. They call it the "Pittsburgh Box House" because there are a lot of them here.
This house is old, built 1905, and has the character of a house well loved and well lived in. The retro 60's kitchen is straight out of a catalog from the time period. The house is large, 2600 sq ft., and it feels spacious. There's plenty of room to gather with your group and enjoy their company. The large porch out front is perfect in the evenings.
