Le sanctuaire - 14 acres avec étang / sentiers privés dans le magnifique comté de Brown

Venez profiter d'une escapade du monde occupé à une maison calme dans les bois. Vous pourrez profiter de la grande salle de réunion donnant sur un bel étang entouré d'arbres. Faites un tour sur le pédalo et lancez votre ligne de pêche pour attraper le poisson-chat, le crapet arlequin et l'achigan à grande bouche. Onze acres de sentiers permettent une belle promenade dans la nature. Dans le froid, vous pouvez déguster votre tasse de café au coin du feu dans la grande pièce que nous appelons, Le sanctuaire.

Les clients apprécieront de séjourner dans notre place The Sanctuary. Nous avons une belle maison où chaque chambre a sa propre salle de bain. L'espace de rassemblement est un endroit idéal pour se détendre, regarder par les fenêtres et la porte près du feu. Prenez vos boissons à l'extérieur sur le grand porche et la terrasse. Vous pouvez vous asseoir dans une chaise berçante ou dîner sur la grande table sur le porche. Nous vivons près d'un dollar général. Nashville est à 10 minutes en voiture et regorge de boutiques, de restaurants et d'explorer.

Amazing home in an amazing location

This was the second time that my group of girlfriends stayed here for a girls’ weekend. The house is on a beautiful piece of land and has a perfect set up for a gathering of friends. The homeowners are amazing - very responsive and helpful. We’re already planning to come back next year.

Our group enjoyed the size of the home & the amenities. The home is very well stocked with every conceivable need. Lovely private grounds & peace & quiet. My 2nd trip & I’m going again next spring. Best rental I’ve ever used. These hosts do an amazing job with their property!

Wonderful Retreat

Our family of 8 gathered from San Diego, Atlanta, and Cincinnati to celebrate parents 70th anniversary. The home is spacious with 4 private bedrooms and baths (even the bunk room was comfortable). Check in was easy and the home was clean, kitchen stocked with essentials and more, living and dining areas easily accommodated us. The location is convenient to tours of Columbus architecture, downtown Nashville and to both entrances of Brown County State Park as well as a rural drag strip with local color. We enjoyed the fire pit and a meandering one mile hike through the 14 acre woods. Runners will appreciate low traffic roads and rolling hills with shady tree lined sections. I'd like to return with our kids and grandkids.

Relaxing Friend Time

We r a group of 4 couples who recently stayed in the aptly named “Sanctuary “ for a 3day, 3 night yearly get-together. The property is very beautiful & relaxing with the pond & sweeping back yard providing excellent views from the 2 porches. The home was very accommodating, well stocked and clean. 4 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms. Super easy checkin and out, seating for all 8 of us whatever room or area we were in. Large kitchen for cooking. The owners were extremely responsive. This was the perfect property for us to rent!

Truly a Sanctuary

The home and property were beautiful and peaceful. The layout of the house was perfect for 6 adults. Plenty of space for everyone. Clean, comfortable, well stocked and maintained. Location is just 10 minutes to town but still tucked away. The covered porch was perfect with a great view of the lake and property. We all loved it and would definitely go back.

Very nice spot for time with the family

We enjoyed the fishing, walks in the woods, Nashville, s'mores by the fire pit, and just sitting on the beautiful porch watching birds. Plenty of room for my wife and I to host our adult children and their spouses.

The Sanctuary is an amazing rental. Four bedrooms, four baths, a pond, a playground, and more. The hosts are very attentive to detail and responsive to little problems that might occur. Very highly recommended—but save me a return date!

Family Gathering 2024

The property is so beautiful and we all loved the house. There were 9 of us staying there and the house is very spacious with areas for toddler play time, card games, dining, a very nice kitchen and beautiful living room that has gorgeous views of the pond and woods. The boys had a great time fishing too. They caught blue gill, catfiish and we think a crappie. We all had a wonderful time.

Family Christmas Gathering

We had a wonderful time at The Sanctuary celebrating Christmas with family. It was spacious and beautifully-decorated. The great room was perfect for gathering everyone together to open gifts and watch a Christmas movie. Mary and Josh were were great hosts and were quick to respond to any questions that we had. We would definitely stay there again.

Awesome Weekend Getaway

Having an awesome time is an understatement. I cannot explain in words of how magnificent this property is. From fishing, kayaking, paddleboats, wrap around porch with lots of chairs, grilling, and a beautiful pond. The views are breathtaking. This was our first stay here, and it most certainly wont be our last. If you're in need of an awesome time, along with a weekend getaway, "The Sanctuary " is where it's at! The owner's are awesome as well. We didn’t get to meet them, but I felt like we did just through the VRBO messenger. Again thank you all so much for everything.

Beautiful property

The house and property is beautiful. We enjoyed fishing the pond and the pedal boat. The bedding and towels were clean and nice. I did contact the owner about the cleanliness of the home. The clean team are cutting a lot of corners. The owner lives out of town and was unaware. She was apologetic and said she would take care of it for the next renters! Otherwise we had a great time!!!

Peaceful and beautiful scenery!

Our stay at The Sanctuary was wonderful! There were seven of us and there was plenty of room. (Something to note, the bunk room beds are better suited for kids and not for adults with back problems). The sheets were soft and the beds were comfortable in the bedrooms with the big beds. There were plenty of bathrooms so no one had to wait to shower. With two sitting areas and a large dining area, there is plenty of room to visit, watch tv or play games. Lots of games are provided in case you forget to bring some. The kitchen has lots of dishes for eating and cooking and a nice grill outside. Outside is a generous front porch with rockers and a swing that make soaking up the sights and sounds of nature the best part of the day. Outside is a nice play area and at the ponds our group did lots of fishing and canoeing. There is a nice big fire pit. I would suggest bringing your own things for starting a fire. There is plenty of things for kindling but no way to cut it. There is a lighter and sticks to roast marshmallows provided. The hosts proved a wonderful basket with s’mores ingredients as well as syrup and pancake mix. We would come back to the Sanctuary 100%. This is a great place for family get togethers, small retreats, board gaming groups or girl’s weekends. You won’t be sorry!
