What a great location and place to stay! Wonderful view of the lake especially in the morning to enjoy your coffee! We had plenty of space for everyone to stay and play. The kids liked playing outside and inside with all the games and toys. Wished we could have stayed another week!
We had a wonderful stay! The property had everything you could possibly need.
The beds were very comfortable. Lots of space inside and out to get away from each other if needed. We loved the huge island and multiple refrigerators for our group of 17! We had a full moon during our stay with cooler evenings that made for a magical vacation đ
10 adults and fourteen kids ranging from 5-14. We all had a blast. Amazing property with room for everyone and plenty to do. The lake was quiet and calm, the kids caught fish, we swam, and paddle boarded. Also had a great huge kitchen and family space and outdoor seating galore. It was great.
We rented the Nest too. We had 8 people there and 11 at the Aerie. Each couple was able to have their own space this way. Adults didn't have to give up their privacy. At the Aerie, the living space, kitchen and rec room were spacious. We were fortunate to have perfect weather so we were outside all day and into the night. The outdoor space was fabulous for outdoor eating and "playing".
We all give this venue A thumbs up!
This house and property is perfect for a lake getaway. The owners and property manager are very responsive. The home has everything you need. We all were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay so much. The kitchen is very well appointed and they have so many towels and lake towels for you to use. There is shampoo and soap and paper products. You just walk in and start to enjoy your time. The beds are super comfy also! I canât say enough about the house! We will be back for sure. Thank you for your hospitality!
Our families had so much fun on our stay. Everyone enjoyed the slide and beach. When a brief storm would come through, there was plenty to do inside to keep all entertained!
The house was fully stocked. The only thing I would recommend is a bigger toaster. For a house that holds so many, a 2 slice toaster wasnât the best.(we made BLTs) There is a toaster oven so we figured it out.
We did have one issue that arose. I sent the host a message and Coach was there to fix it very quickly. Definitely a five star experience!
This property has everything we needed. It was set up for a big groups. The owners were very communicative and helpful. All around it was perfect and I highly recommend it!
This is a beautiful home on a nice lake with plenty of room and activities. Our family enjoyed the private beach, the swim pier and slide, and great selection of games and toys. The kitchen is well stocked and spacious, the outdoor spaces are plentiful and functional, and we had no lack of family fun.
The Aerie was a great choice for us. We had a fairly large group with 4 generations of family including several children. We had plenty of room and a variety of things to do for all. There is a great kitchen to prepare meals and to sit and eat at the extra large island and/or window seating area.
There are multiple areas in the house and around the property to gather for conversation, play provided games and activities or just relax. The (fairly new) beach area seemed a bit far but in retrospect it worked out perfect since when it was âbeach timeâ we could pack up the kids and head down and when it was not, the sand was out of site (and out of mind) which was a benefit.
While mostly small towns close by there are several attractions if you decide to get off property. We happen to be there during the Bond county fair which was a perfect break for us since we were there well over a week.
We added the âall the funâ package from the recommended watercraft company. This expanded the fun on the lake with a pontoon boat for tubing and skiing and several paddling options.
I would recommend this property for most anyone.
Thanks
This is our 2nd year in a row renting this property. Can't say enough about this property. Adults, teens and children thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Brought 2 deck boats. Tubed and swam all day. The waterslide is a big hit. Kids had a ball catching blue gill, stripers and some catfish off the dock. Home is plenty big and has all the things you need. Hope to be back next year. Property manager was very easy and pleasant to work with.
I rent a few vacation homes a year and this one tops them all. The owners have literally thought of everything. The kitchen was a showstopper as were the master bed and shower. My entire family (including my 2 Bernese mountain dogs) thought it was a perfect few day getaway. The property is huge and secluded with plenty of room for the dogs to run and play. Highly recommend renting a boat but I would go to the store and buy a tube if kids want that. I rented a tube for 2 days that cost $60 more than it would have been buying it new. Hopefully we will be back for many summers to come.
The bedrooms were unique with the number of bunk beds. The kitchen was the best equipped I've ever seen. Hope to return next year. Still think its odd that everything says no swimming.
Couldn't ask for a better vacation home. Everything we needed. Owners very accommodating and responsive. The slide and beach were a big hit. Never left the property. Jason was great staying in touch with us. Hoping we can rent it next year.
The house that we originally rented in Michigan was sold about 2 months before our vacation. We scrambled to find an alternate spot and ended up here on Govenor Bond Lake at the Aerie. The place is great. Right on the lake and offers a beach plus a new slide off the dock in front of the house. It would be great if the beach was right by the dock/slide but it worked out well. The house is large with ample space to spread out. There are 6 bedrooms, although the one of them downstairs doesnât have windows. We have 10 adults and 9 kids so the bed configuration was challenging but we made do.
If you happen to rent during July 4th, youâre in for a treat. Two houses directly across the lake put on a spectacular fireworks display that goes on for over an hour. Just incredible.
I highly suggest bringing or renting a boat. We had a great time with the rented pontoon and Coach was very easy to work with. I also appreciated the ease of communication with Jeff. He always responded quickly and answered all my questions.
This is a great place and I think youâll really enjoy it.
Our family of 3 kids/spouses/grandkids enjoyed the separate bedrooms and the big bunk room. The game room was used in the evenings and on rainy days. The slide into the water was a big success. The playground was accessible for the littles. We highly recommend this vacation rental.
The property manager Crystal was helpful both before and during our stay. The house was beautiful and well stocked. All the games in the basement were top quality stuff which is unusual for a rental house. The dock was my favorite part. I brought my personal boat (had to pay $200 license fee to the city) and docked it. The dock has a sling style boat lift which was great for keeping it out of the waves the other boats were making over the weekend. During the week we had the lake mostly to ourselves. We water skied, tubed and fished all week. The fishing was pretty good. The kids loved the slide on the dock and playing with the rented paddle equipment.
Even the property around the house was a beautiful acreage, and they just added a sand beach, which was great water access for the smaller kids and adults. (At the dock you have to jump into the water, but the beach allows you to walk in.)
We have stayed in numerous VRBOs over the years and this one tops them all! The house is Huge, many beds and baths, is in a beautiful setting, and is equipped with absolutely everything an adult, teenager, or child could possibly want for cooking, playing, recreation, or just relaxing.Everyone who visited wants to book it for themselves immediately! Don't miss the opportunity to experience this one!
