Midsomer House près de Bath - Hot Tub & Lodge

Midsomer House est un magnifique manoir construit à l'époque victorienne (1840). C'est une très grande propriété avec 6 chambres, 2 salles de bain et 3 toilettes. Il est parfaitement situé au cœur du sud-ouest et est à seulement 20-30 minutes en voiture du centre de Bath et à 40 minutes du centre de Bristol. Stonehenge, Wells Cathedral, Longleat et Glastonbury à seulement quelques minutes en voiture.

Midsomer House se trouve à quelques pas du centre de Midsomer Norton qui abrite de nombreux cafés, maisons publiques, supermarchés et magasins. Il y a un centre de loisirs avec piscine, salle de gym, courts de squash, aire de jeux extérieure pour enfants et grand skate park.

La maison elle-même est répartie sur 2 étages et dispose du chauffage central, de planchers chauffants et de la climatisation.

Le premier étage comprend 6 chambres doubles, composées de 2 x lits super-king size permanents, 3 avec possibilité de lits jumeaux ou super-king-size (sur demande), 1 x lits king-size permanents D'autres lits peuvent être fournis pour dormir jusqu'à maximum de 16, bien que ce soient des canapés-lits (très bonne qualité).

Le rez-de-chaussée dispose de 4 grandes salles de réception, composées d'un grand hall d'entrée, d'un salon arrière (avec balcon en ardoise), d'un salon avant, d'une cuisine, d'une salle de jeux (avec bar et table de billard), d'une buanderie (avec installations de lavage et de séchage).

Arrière - Le pont supérieur (à l'extérieur de la salle de jeux) dispose d'un bain à remous pour huit personnes, qui surplombe le jardin et la vallée, à côté d'une table de jardin et d'une douche extérieure.

Jardin - comprend une aire de jeux, un trampoline, un grand étang de Koi (surélevé), une maison de jeux et le Reindeer Lodge.

Le Reindeer Lodge est une grande cabane inuit pouvant accueillir 20 personnes ou 4 personnes. Au milieu se trouve un grand feu ouvert pour cuisiner (ustensiles fournis). Si vous ne souhaitez pas utiliser le feu, un radiateur électrique est fourni pour vous garder au chaud.

Super house

We are 5 families coming together for reunion. House was perfect for our needs, had everything you needed.Conservatory with pool table was a bonus as well as the Inuit hut.Garden is huge and lovely. Good location for what we needed.

Great Space, Great Location, Good times

The property was great with lots of space, the pool table and the hot tub as well as the smoke house were fantastic and the pictures can't give you an idea of how big it is. The bedrooms were great and so was the kitchen and the living rooms, 5 star stay!

We had a great stay with 4 generations of our family in this property. The house was well maintained and comfortable and the games room and hot tub helped to keep the younger members entertained. The location was great as it was possible to walk into town and we also had a great walk along the disused railway line to Radstock for a pub lunch. We had a few difficulties with the showers at first but Brett explained on the phone how to get them going. Also the property was on more of a main road than we expected but that wasn't a problem.

This property was a great place for our family get together. The Inuit house provided a perfect space for a BBQ in the rain. The hot tub and pool table was a nice addition. Would definitely recommend this property

A lovely stay with family

The stay was a lovely one. The property had everything we needed for a long weekend of relaxing with the family. No problems with check in or check out. I was able to communicate with the owner while there for a minor question - which they responded to very quickly!

A lovely house

Had a great time for a 50th birthday. Well equipped kitchen and all bedrooms a good size with comfortable beds. Hot tub was fun and the BBQ in the hut was great too.

Enjoyable stay

Stay was enjoyed by all ages hot tub and pool table appreciated particularly by the youngsters only one thing we felt could be replaced were the tall stools in the conservatory. We felt they were unsafe and very rickety but had no reflection on our stay

We had a lovely break plenty of space to spread around and to be together too Lovely hot tub and ideal garden but the levels of the garden were a bit restrictive for the elderly could do with a few rails, Bedrooms very comfy as well as bathrooms with too, we did have a couple of issues but owner dealt with swiftly

April get together

Everything from a beginning to end was just so easy. The process of booking, checking in and leaving the property on Sunday. All of the facilities were an excellent addition to an already beautiful house. Everyone who stayed was full of compliments for the house and we would love to come back in the future.

Perfect for multi generational family

This property lived up to expectations. Very spacious - the 2 reception rooms were great to give people space. Kitchen was spacious and plenty of crockery and glassware. Hot tub was great as was the pool table. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t brilliant to make use of the garden but the barbecue house was used. The family thoroughly enjoyed the weekend and the house is in a good location for exploring the area - only 15minutes to the Bath park and ride. Also the town is well served with supermarkets or food take always for those who don’t want to cook.

Great short stay with friends and family

Kids had a blast in the garden and exploring the house. Adults made good use of the pool table. And all 8 of us would regularly be found in the hot tub until the stars were out. Very good, if quirky in terms of layout, property which suited our needs just fine. Will probably need a bit of TLC in a year or so but it was clean, spacious and relaxing with kids. A neighbour popped round within minutes to sort out resetting the hot tub for us so you also felt that help was at hand when needed!

Lovely large property

We had a fantastic stay over Christmas and the property was perfect for what we needed. It had all of the room we needed and more with space a plenty. The property also has a lovely large garden and decking area. It is also situated well for family days out (we’d recommend Wookey Hole for a great family day). As well as being close to all essential amenities - supermarkets, shops, restaurants, etc. There is even an electric car charge point in the sports centre just around the corner which was brilliant for us. The property had everything we needed and the children especially enjoyed the hot tub and pool table and happy children make for happy parents. We had some questions/requests leading up to our stay and the hosts were very quick to respond to emails and very accommodating with our requests which is always a good thing so thank you. All in all we had a great week and would certainly recommend the property.

Not what we expected per the listing

It was difficult to find --due to the small sign that was on the house--since no number is listed, plus it was on a very busy street, so it was a little bit loud at night. The house had a bad smell to it once we walked in--almost like a mold smell. The first upstairs bathroom leaked water so the bathmats were always soaked. We couldn't get the hot tub to warm up--so didn't really get to use that. The place was spacious and the backyard was a good size.

Family gathering to celebrate dads 60th

The property was as described. Large and bedrooms were lovely. We were unable to have the bedrooms set up as described in the information e.g sofa bed in room etc so we had to use the lounge downstairs for children. At first I was disappointed however, the lounge was actually great and had tv sofas and beds for the kids. The hot tub was great but couldn’t use the first night due to cleaning. Lovely welcome of milk, bread & butter. The house did smell like cigarettes upstairs (none of us are smokers) but was very clean and well presented. Nice area with really easy walk to shop/pool etc.

Not Quite as expected

The house upstairs was good with comfortable beds. downstairs space was as expected but the property is looking very tired and cleaning leaving a little to be desired. An example of this was when the oven was turned on the fumes from the oil left in the bottom created a terrible smeech hence we had to clean it before being able to use it again. Another potential problem is where the taps are switched across the property between Hot and Cold where Cold should be on the Right side, so it meant cold water could be drunk from the hot tap without knowing it before it got hot so the water was from the tank. The instructions for controlling the heating and how to put on the outside lights were not to be found, The Hot Tub was good and the parking.

Very spacious

Loads of room for everyone to have their own space. The kids loved the games room and hot tub. The nook in the garden is gorgeous and great for games night - watch out for the slippery decking though (when wet). It’s got everything you need and is great for pets. Would stay again.

I'm originally from Bristol but have lived in various places around the UK. I moved back to the South West in 2000. I bought an apartment the centre of Bath which I lived in for seven years, before moving Midsomer House to start a family.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

As soon as I saw the property I fell in love with its character. I made many changes over the years but ensured it still kept its original charm. The reindeer lodge was my best decision as we hosted many great family parties in there, it really is unique.
