My husband and I stayed here a few days with our dog. The house was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. It was completely remodeled. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings.
The property is cute, clean, and easy to access. The host was communicative, thoughtful, and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and found the property to be just right for our stay in the Asheville area.
We arrived and found the cottage easily. The purpose of our trip was to visit our son and his girlfriend that had moved to Candler a year ago. Didn't get a chance to use the hot tub, the fire pit, or do any stargazing due to Hurricane Helene making her way in that week. We enjoyed our stay and visit in spite of the rain and power outage on our last night. Everything we needed was there to use in making our meals with the food we bought. The Appalachian people are friendly and very welcoming.
The location was great - very close to Asheville. We really enjoyed the getaway together (Anniversary weekend). The home was VERY clean and tidy, easy to access, great communication with the owner, and the hot tub was an excellent touch. The mattress was a bit too hard for us, but that could be because it is new and just has not had time to wear in yet. If you like a softer mattress, I recommend bringing a topper with you. All necessities (linens, trash bags, hand soap, etc.) were provided.
This beautiful cottage was spotless, well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Beds were extremely comfortable. It was fresh, comfortable and roomy. Ample comfy living room seating. Well-stocked kitchen. They thought of everything. Close to Asheville, in a quiet neighborhood. Never heard or saw anyone and the huge lot was nice to walk our fur baby. We're usually ready to head home after a few days, but this was so homey, I wish I had booked more days. We will definitely be back. Excellent communication from Eric - very clear and easy check in and check out information. The
This was the perfect home base for our annual post-Christmas trip to visit family in the Asheville area. The house had everything we needed (including running water during several days of water outages in the area!). Plenty of room to exercise dogs, a well-equipped kitchen, just a short drive to Smoky Park Hwy making access to pretty much anywhere in the area a breeze. We would absolutely choose to stay again.
What A GREAT house to stay for our 50th Wedding Anniversary
This house and property were very attractive. It was located in the mountain area outside of Asheville but still very close to the downtown area and local stores and restaurants. There are grocery stores and a pharmacy or two nearby. Eric the owner, was very helpful and answered our questions and concerns right away! Thanks for a very pleasant and restful stay, my wife and I really enjoyed the stay!.
A great little house on a wonderful property. Clean and private with all the amenities needed for a wonderful stay. Great communication with the owner. Our dog lover the large yard! Just perfect,,,,,,,,,,,,,
described This property was very attractive. Nice job with the remodel mentioned by the owner. Great kitchen and baths. Fully appointed. didnt need to run to the store for anything except food and sundries. Was a convenient location for exploring parks and towns south of Asheville in addition to our jaunts to Asheville. It was handy that grocery stores and a pharmacy or two were nearby. Thanks for a very pleasant and restful stay!
My dog and I were so comfortable here! There was plenty of outdoor space, a great kitchen to cook in, private and quiet location, but still easy access to all things Asheville. We loved it.
Stayed here for my wedding with my partner and family members. Loved the property, so private yet close to grocery store and 20 minutes to Asheville. Place was perfect! If you prefer a more soft mattress, maybe bring a mattress topper. Thatâs the only thing I can think of! House was fully stocked and Mr. Peth was easy to communicate with.
We loved this central location for our sons wedding stay in the Asheville area. The house was clean and newly renovated only missing a few small amenities that Iâm sure the owners will address soon. Owners were friendly and welcoming.
The home was beautiful, we arrived a little early and I contacted the owner and we were able to check in a little early which was great after a 600 mile drive, all the amenities of home. I would recommend this home to any body looking to get away for awhile and doesn't want to deal with hotels.
Beautiful place to stay, would highly recommend it to anyone! The owner was exceptionally helpful as well. There was nothing we didnât love about it.
This was a wonderful trip for my husband and I to visit his brother who will be retiring from the Veteran Affairs Hospital this SEP and moving away from the area. Our Weimaraner went along on the trip and we took him on many hiking trips which was the purpose of the trip in addition to visiting our family member. This cottage was well done! Every room was re-done to perfection just like you would see on HGTV. For an older cottage, it was warm and quite, well insulated. The homeowners did an excellent job with the renovations and restorations. The neighborhood is in a safe and quite place with grocery, gas stations, drug store and other shopping in the area. Asheville is your go to destination for this cottage. There are several good places to eat in town too, you must try the Biscuit Head, and Twelve Bones. Shop at the Mast General Store for unique things for your home and outdoor equipment. You can tour the Biltmore Estate and go the winery on the property there. I enjoyed taking my dog the gardens. This property is also good for children too. The beds are so comfortable after a long day of hiking and going places.
Great place to stay. The house was spotless, had everything we needed. Beautiful renovation job. Eric was great to work with. Would go back for sure.

I live in Charleston, SC with my wife Stacy, daughter Satya and pup George. Originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Stacy is a Yoga teacher working with diverse groups including children in low-income schools, physically challenged individuals, public classes while also doing private and event classes. I was born and bred in Canada 30 miles west of Toronto. After finishing university, I did my Masters in Australia before travelling and working both in North America and abroad. I settled in Charleston where Iâm a real estate agent licensed in SC and NC. I work with Buyers and Sellers in both areas and we also renovate and resell properties ourselves. I also own and manage my multiple short term and long-term rental properties. We love to come visit the cottage ourselves whenever we can. We've also got a vacation rental cabin out in Maggie Valley with spectacular views and another on the water in Beaufort, SC. The Cottage is a great location close to Asheville with a large yard. We're happy to share it with you.
I bought this property after watching the market for a long time. I wanted something to compliment our "get-away-from-it-all" cabin in Maggie Valley. This cottage is 15 minutes from downtown Asheville and easy to get into town on main roads for checking out restaurants, bars, shopping and music. The cottage was in rough shape when we bought it. We took it apart right down to the dirt in the crawlspace and rebuilt it into a great 2 bed, 2 bath home and then added the patio and hot tub out back. It sits on 4/10ths of an acre and feels like it has no neighbors. The vegetation in the summer is amazing. A great spot for my daughter and pup to have some room to run around.
