This was our second stay here - we love the area and felt like it was home from home. It's a quiet street and we had no problems parking (usually behind the house but street parking sometimes). The kitchen has everything you need, and we really appreciated the washing machine and dryer (and kettle). I had one suggestion during our stay and had a quick and favourable response from the owner. I would happily stay here again.
Reserved this home because of proximity to our daughter a few blocks away. It was confusing how to get into the home since we parked in the space by the garage. Finally walked around to the front and found the lockbox and entered, unlocked the back doors so that we could unload the car. The key did not operate the back doors so always had to walk to the front. Not ideal in inclimate weather. Front screened door has torn screen and outer storm door wouldn't stay closed. Slept on the couch and couldn't find additional linens for roll-away or futon in the closet where the roll-away & futon were located (as indicated in the emailed "Arrival Information" received on 9/11/24) so used a rumpled fitted sheet & duvet cover still in its packaging that was in top of closet. Finally located linens in closet near bedroom several days later. It would have been helpful to have the appropriate linens in the closet with the roll-away/futon. I would not describe this home as "modern" as it has not undergone remodeling, except it did have modern appliances. The AC worked well during the warn days of our stay. We parked in the back designated space but it was dark (except for the neighbors' string lights on the fence) to try to walk to the front & enter the home. The home is on a busy street and in the airport flight pattern which is noticeable in the early morning and late evening. Listing says it is "on a lake" which it is not. Not a bad place to stay, just not as expected.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here for three weeks: two with my husband and one on my own. I am originally from the Minneapolis suburbs, but I have lived in England for the past 30+ years, coming home regularly to visit friends and family in Minnesota. When my mother died in January, I was looking for a base in my favourite area of the city and this house has been a sanctuary.
The neighbourhood is lovely: scenic, safe and friendly. I enjoyed walking along Minnehaha Creek and running around (and swimming in) Lake Nokomis. Parking in the spot in the alley was easy and there was almost always a spot right in front of the house too.
The house itself is clean and comfortable and I really appreciated that all the basics that you need are provided. My husband and I were especially delighted to discover the electric kettle so we could have our tea! Lots of nice eateries nearby: I particularly recommend Heatherâs as a great restaurant. We took the bus & light rail to downtown Minneapolis, to Midtown and to St Paul.
I hope to be back regularly and would certainly stay here again.
We felt right at home during our short stay in the city. Everything in the house was clean, clearly labeled and well-maintained. The neighborhood was quiet, and the location was convenient to downtown, the Mall of America, parks and the airport.
We were in Minnesota to watch the Vikings and to site see. There was everything that you could need to prepare food to save money which we appreciated. The place itself was very clean and I enjoyed the interior design choices. Jie was also super helpful and fast to respond! Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend as well as stay there again!
Great location for our visit to Minnesota to check out the city and see the Vikings play! Great location, easy to get everywhere, would definitely stay here again if we come back for another game. Thanks to the host for a clean, well maintained property
Great place to stay! Within 15 minutes of downtown and walking distance to some beautiful parks (one of which included a waterfall). This place had everything that we needed!
Fantastic location! Great little house with everything we needed. No frills, just basics. Nothing went wrong so I canât speak to the responsiveness of the owner, but thatâs a good thing! We would absolutely stay again.
