Beaucoup de stationnement hors rue pour tous vos jouets aquatiques! 150 pieds linéaires de plage de sable avec des saules suspendus pour tenir le poisson à proximité pour la pêche à terre. Nous sommes en train de construire un bac à sable pour les niveaux d'eau élevés et notre plage sous l'eau ainsi qu'un hangar de nettoyage de poissons avec des écrans, de la lumière et de l'eau ainsi qu'un espace pour garder votre équipement verrouillé pendant la nuit (apportez votre propre cadenas) Nous avons deux quais de navigation disponibles! La rampe de mise à l'eau est un court trajet autour de la baie au sud. Pour nos collègues artistes, nous avons mis en place une salle de classe lumineuse face au lac Madison. Il dispose de 12 bureaux avec chevalets et porte-brosses, planches à dessin et chevalet en chêne pour grands instructeurs, armoire de rangement, chaises pliantes supplémentaires et tabourets, tous tournés vers le lac. Idéal pour les soirées pyjama ou juste une soirée de peinture au vin et au fromage! Idéal comme option supplémentaire pour plus d'espace de couchage lors de la location de notre Log Inn # HA9246925 à deux parcelles, pouvant accueillir 24 personnes et disposant de nombreux espaces sociaux supplémentaires! Scrapbookers bienvenus!

Of Mice and Men

House was basically as described. Definite musty smell as you enter. Property manager showed up unannounced to "just say hi" while we were out in front of the house so didn't hear the doorbell. This was followed by text messages (that we didn't see because phones were not in hand) asking permission for owner (who lives right next door) to come inside to check mouse traps that were set throughout the house (or just to make sure we left doors open as instructed by the notes that were attached to them ie-a "greenhouse" type of room that was likely source of mice and musty smell was to remain open at all times). Overall- stay was good- beds comfortable. Just felt a little too intrusive- definitely aware we were in someone else's home and not "alone" for the weekend.

Perfect and comfortable

Our group was in Mankato for the Marathon. Some of us were running and the rest were support staff. House was great for cooking and resting and being together. Definitely recommend.

Perfect for a family stay

We rented this property and the Log Inn for a family stay and had a wonderful time painting, enjoying the lake on a pontoon boat from a local rental place, and just taking in the beautiful lawn.

Great Family Time

Our family enjoyed our week at Artists & Anglers. There were eight of us with plenty of room for everyone. The game room was great for those times when everyone was inside and doing various activities. The kitchen had everything we needed. The hill to the lake was okay for our party, but for anyone who has mobility issues, it would be a challenge to go up and down, if you wanted to get to the lake. There was plenty to do!

Nice place near Mankato

Overall it was really good. They were impacted by all the flooding in their county so the dock was damaged and they lost some beach in front of the house, but they had another dock available on the other property next to us so no problem. There is also a swimming beach 5min down the road and that was really nice. Great game room for the kids and the artists easels allowed the kids to paint and have some fun that way too. The house is older, but is in good shape-they were receptive to suggestions we made to make it better, so that part was good. Recommend you consider this one!

Graduation

The good things—property was clean, a nice setting. Dorothy was very sweet and helpful and they left wine and snacks for us which was a really nice surprise! They also left water in every room and the decor was vintage and charming. They stocked it really well with paper towel, soap, etc. The not so good— bugs were bad-mosquitoes, flies and ants inside and out. I’m not sure but I think they were getting in from the greenhouse area that we were told to keep open (into the house). Disappointed in the lake as it wasn’t one I’d swim in—it was dirty (more like river water) but definitely a good fishing lake. Overall we had a good time!

Family Reunion gathering

We had a wonderful time in our short stay at Artists and Anglers - we all wished we had more time to really enjoy the lake, the amazing game room and all the other amenities! The house was lovely, clean and comfortable. And the hosts had the kitchen stocked with snacks and beverages - an unexpected and appreciated extra touch! The amenities were as listed and more, the fall colors were beautiful, the hosts were easy to communicate with and friendly — everything was 5 stars! We will be back next fall if Artists and Anglers is available!

Perfect Getaway for Teens and Parents

The house was perfect for our group of older kids and two adults. There are many fun things to do on the property and we took advantage of them all (game room, fishing, kayaks, relaxing, outdoor yard play, watching football, video games with our own system we brought). The house was clean and well equipped, and Dorothy was fantastic with communication and taking care of us. Thank you! We hope to return.

More than we expected

We had no idea that the property came with kayaks, a paddle boat, other boats, and life jackets. We also didn’t know that it would be stocked with toys. All of these extras made our stay wonderful. We wish we had been able to stay and enjoy the place, but we were joyfully busy because our son and daughter-in-law got married in Elysian at Ahavah Cottage and this property was less than five miles from the venue. It was perfect.

Great house with everything you need

We loved our stay. The house is so roomy. A huge Game room made for lots of family fun! The lower level is an adorable suite, and the upper level has the best sun room ever to enjoy your morning coffee. The owner was very responsive to questions. Great place with many fun activites!

We enjoyed our stay! A few family members drove up from out of state to honor our mother in a Celebration of Life. We were able to prepare a large meal in the fully equipped kitchen. It was a peaceful location to enjoy the view of the lake. We were able to utilize the kayaks a couple times. Fishing off the dock was amazing! So many fish!! The kids and adults enjoyed the gameroom. A few of us were even able to get a little watercolor painting in, during the tranquil early mornings. Only recommendation for everyone.. make sure you bring plenty of bug spray! Mosquitoes were out in full force! The owners were very attetive to any need as it arose. We will definitely stay here again for our next visit.

Perfect family house

We picked this house for its proximity to my daughter’s college as, she was graduating. We wanted a place for everyone to stay that had not just location but, activities and amenities. The added bonuses are Dorothy and Jerry! With them you want and need for nothing. Don’t hesitate to book this property you will not regret it, my family enjoyed our time here!!!

Christmas chaos

We have 8 grandchildren under the age of 11. When we are all together it’s busy and noisy. The extra playroom/garage area was perfect! We played minute to win it games with the kids with plenty of room to spare. We also brought sleds and a snowmobile for outside activities. The living room had a nice sized area we could blow up a queen sized mattress for 6 of the grandkids to sleep on. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and our time together.

Staying here is a no-brainer!

Dorothy and Jerry's place was PERFECT to stay while we were in town for our daughter's wedding. It was SO GREAT to have all the family in one house and still have enough beds and bedrooms for all to have their own space at the same time. You can't go wrong if you stay here!!

Weekend on Madison Lake

We enjoyed the comfortable stay on Madison Lake. While it was too cool for enjoying the lake, we had plenty of entertainment and enjoyed the game room for a quick family get together. Very comfortable home and Jerry and Dorothy were gracious hosts.

Enjoyable stay!

We had a great time at Artists and Anglers Inn! The house/property could use a few upgrades and finishing touches to improve the stay but we were comfortable in the home. The home is well equipped for cooking and with all kinds of dishes. The lake is a long way down a fairly steep hill so guests with any mobility issues will have a hard time getting there and back.
