La propriété est située sur 40 acres. Avec en 40 minutes de la station de ski WISP à Deep Creek Lake, MD et à 40 minutes des stations de ski de Canaan Valley, en Virginie-Occidentale. Près de Blackwater Falls State Park. Randonnée, pêche, ski de fond, VTT à proximité. Luge, tubing, raquette à neige directement sur la propriété. Restaurants et boutiques à proximité d'Oakland MD et de Davis, WV à 20 minutes du chalet.
Petite cabine supplémentaire juste à côté de la cabine principale avec installation de laveuse et sécheuse, réfrigérateur supplémentaire, endroit idéal pour que les enfants viennent retirer leurs vêtements et leurs bottes de jouer dans la neige.
Cette cabine a une cour clôturée pour les animaux domestiques. TV WIFI et DISH, et stéréo. En outre, un foyer extérieur.

The home is incredibly peaceful and comfortable, with plenty of land and a short drive to more attractions if for some reason you decide to leave

Quick weekend getaway

Had a great time - the hosts, John and Linda, were very helpful. The property was as advertised - very good condition, clean, great location. Our dog was in heaven - weather was perfect. Nothing to complain about - will keep this place in mind for future trips back to WV.

Nice Getaway

Nice cabin with fenced in yard and private and quiet. The Host was very friendly and helpful. Their's nice views all around the cabin. We had deer that came by every late afternoon. My wife and I had a wonderful time.

Absolutely wonderful stay!

My partner and I had a wonderful stay here! We wanted to escape the city for a bit and reconnect with nature and that’s exactly what we got! Absolutely beautiful property! We will definitely be back (probably in every season)!

Wonderful Getaway Surrounded by Nature

We stayed with our two dogs for a spring break getaway. Linda and John were excellent hosts, the cabin was very clean and has everything you need for a short or extended stay. The property is beautiful, and there are many options for enjoying nature just a short drive away. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and Serene!

This is a beautiful little slice of heaven on a well maintained property. John and Linda are very welcoming and keep the land in tip-top shape! They gave us many recommendations for local hikes and we saw some beautiful scenery thanks to their suggestions. Got lots of snow and brought in the New Year with a very peaceful stay at a lovely cabin in the mountains and the dogs loved the area and the snow! Thanks again Linda and John, we will be back.

Gorgeous Relaxing Weekend

The hosts were so accommodating and helpful, the property was gorgeous and very private. Our two chihuahuas did not want to leave the cozy cabin when we checked out. The pond and serene surroundings attracted a lot of great wildlife as well!

All the convenience none of the crowds.

What can I say, everything was great. Great area, great location. A very affordable option with proximity to the state parks and wildlife refuge. Half way between Davis WV and Oakland MD. Did I mention no crowds.

Great Winter Getaway

We had such a great time at John and Linda's - their cabin is cozy and their kitchen had everything we needed to cook ourselves some good dinners. It's in a great location, close to a lot of parks and not too far from Thomas and Davis. John and Linda were great hosts, meeting us when we got there and checking in to make sure we could get out with our cars in the snow. My dog loved staying too and had a great time cozied up by the heater. Would be great in all seasons!

Relaxing

Linda and John were great! John met us and provided a welcome brief of the area and about the cabin. It was rainy but still managed to get out and enjoy the surroundings area. Was awesome to bring the pups along as we walked the hills and trails near the cabin. Hope to get back there soon!

Great getaway

We chose this property because dogs are welcomed. The property was perfect for us. They have everything you would need. Even an area to clean you dogs if they get dirty out in nature. We knew we wanted to get out and hike to some close by waterfalls. We are planning to return in the future. Thanks again for allowing to stay.

If I give this place a great review, I worry it’ll never be available again!

Everything was better than advertised! Every horizontal surface was comfortable, very vertical surface was impeccably decorated. Being able to take a long, varied walk on the property was a huge bonus, and the heating system was perfectly suited to helping warm up after being out in the cold but not overwhelming the house .

Private Getaway

Check in process was smooth and we appreciated John taking the time to show us around the property. The cabin itself is welcoming/inviting and very very private. The stars looked incredible since it’s so dark. They do have floodlights that you can turn on if coming home late which was greatly appreciated. We loved the location, it’s only 20 minutes to Thomas and just a few more to Davis. Only thing we would wish for is a hot tub! Would stay again!

Hidden Gem

This is a gem of a property in midst of a serene setting. Our family stayed here for 4 nights with our 2 dogs. We absolutely loved it. The house is cozy and well furnished with a lot of attention to detail for everything. The owners, Linda and John, were very helpful in making sure we were comfortable. You can hike on the property itself and catch glorious sunsets. It is only a short driving distance to Blackwater Falls. We visited Douglas Falls nearby, and also went hiking in the Cathedral State Park. All the places were absolutely amazing!

Amazing Experience

John was extremely friendly and met us at check in to explain everything in the house. It is a beautiful location and the perfect size house for three humans and three dogs! The accomdation is as dog-friendly as it gets, with a fenced in yard and a dog wash. My akita and golden retriever loved chasing eachother throughout the yard and then cozying up inside to warm up! The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything you could ever think of, I was very impressed. I recommend staying here if you enjoy the outdoors. 10/10 would stay again.

Peaceful Getaway!

The cabin was the perfect size for us and the fenced yard for the dog was a major plus for me. The cabin is well appointed and very well decorated. I really enjoyed that the kitchen offered some beautiful pottery for our meals. The wooden bowls were spectacular too but we didn't have cause to use them this time. I was glad there was an actual coffee maker in lieu of a Keurig. We met Linda and John when we arrived, and they clued us in as to the wildlife in the area and the pond. This is a place where we want to come back to -- it is peaceful and a nice place to relax.

Perfect Cozy Retreat

My husband, 15 year old son and 2 German Shepherds just returned from a wonderful weekend at this cabin. We had such a great time. Linda and John gave us a warm welcome and told us everything we needed to know. Linda had even put together a binder with all kinds of interesting information!! The cabin itself was so cozy and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved it. The fenced in yard was so convenient for our German Shepherds. We actually spent most of the weekend just exploring the property, and we got lots of exercise!! We will definitely stay here again. It was just so perfect!! Thank you Linda and John!!!

Could stay forever!

Great area, nice small place with fenced in area for my dogs to enjoy. Swimming and running - lots of fun. Several towns/restaurants plus parks in area - plenty to do. Hosts were easy and kind - Thank you!!
