The house was advertised with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It had 2 bedrooms, one bedroom had 2 beds. There was only one bathroom and it was in the bedroom that had 2 beds in it. One hot water furnace between 3B and B buildings and the hot water tank would always trip. So you would have to go out to the laundry room to reset it and then wait another 20 minutes and hopefully you'll have hot water very inconvenient. Since the laundry room was in the back of the garage connected to a whole different building, that I was in. But the pool in the backyard was nice. And it's in an awesome location and the neighborsThere were really great too.
Great location, overpriced for what you're getting
This property is down the street from beach access in St. Pete Beach and easy walking distance to many restaurants and bars to have some fun. The location is truly the biggest factor of this property. Everything else is kinda less to be desired. The first thing I noticed when I got into the house is that the pictures are inaccurate, mostly in the living space area. If I remember the pictures correctly there should be a large round table, that's not there anymore. There are scuffs along the walls and the backyard looks quite different from the pictures. The futon in the living space is not the most comfortable thing in the world and rocks and creaks as you move on it, not a deal breaker just not the most comfortable. The beds, to me, were very uncomfortable. Out of the 4 beds, one frame is falling apart and the other creaks so loud you can hear it on the other side of the apartment. That's in the spare bedroom. The kitchen was fine and I have no complaints about that. My biggest complaint is our thermostat was not located in our unit. Our neighbor had control of our air conditioning, and luckily they also liked it cool and didn't mind moving it to the temperature I had asked for. The pool is unusable. It's kinda falling apart to the point where the main filters are cemented shut and it's only filtered through one tiny hole that used to be a jet. That, to me, isn't the cleanest and made me not want to go in (although the more mild temps in February were a factor there). The landscaping in the backyard was quite mismanaged. Which didn't really pose any issues for me, it just looks very different from the pictures. There's also a pile of broken chairs and other garbage just kinda stacked up on the side of the fence/perimeter. Our door knob, even with the correct code, stopped working a few times and required us to climb through a window. Which means we always needed a window open just in case we needed to get into our apartment that way. Although the property manager did mention he was going to switch that out soon (no guarantees it will be soon considered the other things that needed to be done around the house that haven't been done).
Overall, we enjoyed our time at the VRBO, but not because of the property. Good location and kind neighbors made the experience for us. It was bare minimum for sure (hot water MOST, not all, of the time), a bed, functional kitchen, and a roof. But that shouldn't cost the price they are asking.
