Savannah is beautiful and this apartment is in the middle of Historic Downtown Savannah. Everything we wanted to do or see was within walking distance and the property was comfortable, clean and cozy.
This is a beautiful property. Well furnished with comfortable beds any everything we needed. We were within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Especially enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard and the amazing soaking tub. Definitely recommend to any staying in Savannah.
A very comfortable space in a convenient location. Huge bedrooms and a cozy common living space/kitchen. The decor was quietly elegant. The air conditioning was extremely efficient and much appreciated on such a hot and humid weekend. Would recommend.
This suite was great for our trip to Savannah. Centrally located. Great walking distance to everything we wanted to see. So much room! Large bedrooms. The living area was nice for unwinding after a long day of discovering this lovely area.
We loved our brief stay in the garden apartment of the wedding cake mansion & will definitely consider staying there again when we visit Savannah in the future. Very near great parks, excellent coffee shops, antique stores.
VRBO was in a great location for us to walk to all the things we wanted to explore while we were in Savannah. Management was fast to respond to any questions we had. Would defiantly stay again.
This was our first time in Savannah, and these accommodations were amazing! Within walking distance to most anything you wanted to do in the downtown historic district. The Wedding Cake Garden apartment was charming and suited our group perfectly. Would definitely stay here again.
I've stayed at several VRBO's in Savannah and this was the best. Just off of Bull St. and very close to my favorite square (Pulaski). Bedrooms were so spacious and it had everything I would have wanted. Looking forward to going back again.
The accommodations were very disappointing. neither bedroom had adequate closets to hang clothes or hangers. there were an adequate electrical outlets for electronic devices, which everybody now has no outlet for a CPAP device and inadequate lighting. there was inadequate dresser space for clothes so we lived out of suitcases. The front bedroom had a sewage odor intermittently and the entire apartment smelled moldy. the toilet in the back bathroom leaked with an inadequate seal around the toilet base so that bathroom was not used. Just a few small inexpensive things couldâve made the day better although a leaking toilet and foul odor intermittently requires better maintenance.
Great location and enjoyed the historic property.
A couple of small items, several of the sockets were not working and overall the lighting was dim. Upstairs guests can impact your stay as there is limited sound proofing.
Loved the location and character of the Garden Suite. The claw foot tub bathroom was gorgeous but not functional for showering, even with the handheld wand. If the curtain had a fastener it may have worked better. Otherwise it was perfect and would recommend to others - and stay again!
Smaller than it looks on the listing. The main bathroom needs a remodel, there is mold in a few spots in the corners of the ceilings and paint is peeling. Because itâs garden level it tends to be dark inside. Parking tip, you can park at the Savannah welcome center for free during the day, and city street parking is free from 8pm to 8am on weekdays.
It was a nice place close to everything. The fan in the living room couldn't be used as it had a loose blade & there was a chunk out of the shower handle. It needs better lighting & if your having a claw tub as one of the showers, it should have a shower curtain around it so you can actually stand up & shower with the shower head. Overall we enjoyed our stay a lot.
The unit was clean, beds comfortable and kitchen fully equipped. It is an old house, circa 1860 per the book provided, and seems to be well maintained. Nicely decorated with furniture that appears to come from that era. Noise was definitely an issue. This is a known issue as they provided ear plugs. The noise from the 2nd floor was difficult at times, heavy footed with heels and the screaming and laughing and continuing the party until 3am. This was addressed by the rental company and the 3am party stopped but made our stay a little less comfortable. Construction didnât help and one morning a dumpster was dropped right out front at 6am. On the morning we left, construction started at 6:30am. The foreman happened to arrive as we were leaving and we let him know that the start time was unacceptable. We also notified the rental company. The unit is centrally located but a 20 minute walk to the river where a lot of the bars are located. Internet connectivity was an issue and constantly buffered while relaxing watching TV. I know some donât watch tv on vacation but my husband decompresses watching tv/movies after a long day exploring. If you are going to have to work remotely while staying here, bring a booster.
Couldn't give overall five stars because we weren't told about construction which the owner had to be aware of. We would have chosen elsewhere has we known.
Final night (Friday) excessive noise from above until at least midnight.
FYI, had no communication with the property manager. No N/A choice. Didn't want to pull down the overall rating due to this.
After realizing there was a fly infestation in one of the rooms , the other half of our party had to make sleeping arrangements elsewhere because the cleaning service used bug spray in the room and the area where the infestation is was at the headboard of the bed. Unfortunately the next day the flyâs started coming back , we kept the unused bedroom door closed to try and contain the problem but they still managed to get out and into the rest of the areas forcing us to get out and not use the rest of the accommodations for entertaining our daughter after her graduation. If not for the fly problem we would have enjoyed our stay but we were forced to alter our plans for the weekend because of it .
