We donât come to Pittsburgh for fun so we look for a place to hang out while in town. There is a donut place and a Dollar General right next to the place. Very convenient! A grocery store is less than a mile away. Also, lots of options for meal delivery.
This was such a fantastic place! Very spacious with a nice kitchen and dining room. Great neighborhood that felt very safe. Dollar General and a nice pub (with great food!) within walking distance. Will definitely book again next time I'm in town.
This place met our needs, decent beds and linens. Could have used more towels, higher quality paper towels and toilet paper. Parking is easy and safe with public lot across the street.
We had a wonderful stay here and enjoyed the library nearby. We also enjoyed a few nearby restaurants. Walking to closeby businesses was great, even in the cold weather.
We prepared for our move-in at our new home with ease and comfort each evening and morning. It was far more comfortable than I imagine a hotel stay would have been, and the kids had individual space for privacy and quiet play.
It's safe, comfortable, and central to businesses that are enjoyable. It is close to the library as well, which gave a place to enjoy books, puzzles, and children's toys.
Check in was a breeze. Jenna graciously allowed us an early check in which was much appreciated. The place was spotless. Smelled heavily of cleaning products. We unloaded in front of the house and parked across the street. Easy peasy. No alarms went off while we were there. It was a peaceful stay. Close to lots of places. We came in for the Steelers Browns game. About 4.5 miles from the stadium so we took an Uber. If you are unable to do stairs - this place is not for you. Had to haul everything up two flights. Water pressure in bathroom very low. Toilet does not flush all the way most of the time. Place could do with some decent pots and pans. The Teflon was flaking off. Tall kitchen chairs very wobbly. Not safe for heavier folks. Nicely decorated. Will absolutely consider staying again. Reasonably priced. Great host. Thank you.
Itâs not necessarily the fault of the host, but not a great stay.
I would love to give this property higher praise, but unfortunately, there were a lot of things about the space itself that I didnât feel were properly described in the listing, as well as just some overall disappointments. The hosts seem like lovely people, however there was a lack of thoroughness in the space as a whole. For example, there was a fan in each of the three bedrooms, only one of which worked. There was a lamp on a nightstand in one bedroom that did not have a knob in order to be able to turn it on and off. The fans were especially problematic because we were never able to get the temperature to our liking. Another issue s garbage that was outside the entire time we were there that was either not picked up by the city or had been put out too early, but it made being outside for even a few minutes unbearable. We would have to call an Uber to meet us a half block away because we didnât want to stand by the house. Finally, and this is where thereâs really nothing that can be done except a better explanation, but all three bedrooms are on the top story, and the bathroom is on the second story. you never realize what a pain in the butt It is to get up in the middle of the night and go to the bathroom until you have go down the stairs to do it. Add to that the stairs were the steepest and the least wide Iâve ever been on. I felt like I was gonna fall with every trip. going up two flights of steep 6 inch deep Staircases with full luggage to get to the bedrooms awful
This is an immaculate 3 bedroom 1 bath property in Crafton. This was our first time staying here and we will rebook the next time we are in town. It is quiet, very clean, and has everything you need for your stay. Highly recommend!
We stayed here the week of July 16-July 23. This was in a perfect location for us for visiting family. Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews before I booked, so I didn't realize how many sets of stairs I'd be climbing all week! I know, I know, stairs are good for me, lol. There is a little set of stairs to get to the porch, one flight of stairs to get to the main floor, and one flight of stairs to get to the bedrooms. Also, only one bathroom which is on the main floor. So, I agree with the previous reviewer who said that if you don't like stairs, or can't do them, this place is not for you! The chairs in the kitchen and dining room were a little bit shaky to sit on, but we spent most of the time in the living room when we were there. It was a cute home away from home, and I highly recommend Big Daddy's donuts around the corner!! Delicious!! There's also a barber shop next door where my husband got a great haircut! I wasn't thrilled that I booked this vacation in January of this year and had to wait until 3 days before the trip to be contacted by the owner (after sending 3 messages and calling the phone number twice). She then explained that the check-in info gets sent automatically 2 days before check in. That would have been super helpful to know maybe a week before to avoid anxiety. Over all, it was a great stay and we had a fabulous time!
Nice comfortable interior space. 3 accommodating and comfortable bedrooms and nice living room and kitchen. Great location for visiting Pittsburgh.
As mentioned in other reviews there are a lot of stairs. From your car to the main living area there are 24 steps.
Full bath is on the floor of the main living area.
3 bedrooms are another flight up and no bath on that floor.
Porch is not what we expected. If you sit on the porch you are looking at a cement wall. In fact most windows of the house face cement walls. So if you want views from windows or the porch this may not be the right house for you. This wasnât a big issue for us as we were only there a few days and spent our time around town.
House was clean and we enjoyed our visit.
My company had some work in Pittsburgh and we opted to stay at Jenna's rental. She was a fantastic host and had a great property. She was responsive, communicated all the check-in / out details clearly, and gave us everything that we needed. Would highly recommend staying here!
The property was beautiful. The home was cozy and well stocked with all the items needed for our stay. We appreciated the extra number of plush towels! The location was so nice and safe.
Not a complaint, but would have loved at least a half bath. With our party of 7, an extra bathroom would have been nice. Again, not a critique- just an observation.
We were in for the Pitt game and our sonâs first Pitt experience. This place was just as described and fit us perfectly! After a long day of sightseeing and a long day at the game it was great to have a home to come back to. Super clean! Great location! Hosts were very nice and very easy to reach and communicate with! We will definitely be back! Thanks again Chris and Jenna!
Jenna's property seems to be 20 minutes or less from everything we wanted to see and do in Pittsburgh, which was great. The kitchen is well equipped, the space is overall well appointed, and the bedrooms do the job. We enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again!
Very nice and clean.. spacious for my infant baby girl..had everything I needed even a baby gate. I enjoyed cooking for my family and close to all the city things to do . Overall privacy was a 10!!. I will book again .
The house is really clean.. the neighborhood is really quiet .. Jenna was very helpful with everything any questions I had she answered.. the only thing that kind of bothered us was the smoke alarm that would beep every 10 mins but other than that I would give this a 5/5
Nice place for a short stay in Pittsburgh. Just 15 minutes from downtown attractions.
Major Positives: Nice layout, plenty of items in the kitchen, linens provided.
The top floor gets significantly hotter than the rest of the place. They provide fans to help but still is about 7-10 degrees warmer than downstairs.
Parking is provided across the street in a community lot that includes the community center, library, and police station.
The property is newly renovated. Very nice. Just a note. It is a 3 story building and the bathroom is on the second floor. So is the dining room and living room. Bedrooms are upstairs. So if you have a little age (73 for us) the stairs can be a problem. Otherwise we were fully satisfied.
We came for my sons graduation from the university of pittsburg. This spot with just 15 minutes away from everywhere we wanted to be. It is a quaint little area. We enjoyed big daddyâs donuts. Got a shape and shave at bobs barber shop and a few things at the dollar general! Hostess was great and willing to help us when we realized we left something behind.
We rented this unit for a brief visit with our daughterâs family during the pandemic. Itâs convenient to interstates and bus rapid transit into Pittsburgh. The unit was comfortable and appeared to have been redecorated recently. If you look closely at the photos, youâll see that it is on the second and third floors of an older house. The bedrooms are on the top floor, right under the pitched roof. Fans are provided to supplement the air conditioning. It was nice to be in the center of town, right across from the library, police and Art Deco municipal building, and we enjoyed walking around the surrounding neighborhoods with their interesting older homes â quite different from the Midwest, where we live. Luckily there was only one fire call during our stay, so the alarm wasnât a problem for us. We spent most of our time indoors because of the pandemic, and there was plenty of room for the 5 of us. In all, we were quite satisfied with our stay.
