Cabin was just as pictured. The hot tub was amazing at the end of the day and the fire pit area was a nice place to eat dinner every night. Would highly recommend.
The cabin was nice. For a couple or even two couples it was very nice. Hoever with young kids a tv would be nice for them to wind down in The evening. Other than that we loved it.
This cabin was absolutely darling. The private spa hot tub was put ti good use on our anniversary weekend! It was peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely be back.
Absolutely loved it. Will definitely be back!! We did run into a few small things, such as there wasnât hardly any cleaning supplies, the screen door in the back was halfway up, we fixed it to the best of our abilities, one of the chairs at the fire pit had a broken arm, but with extra love and tenderness it worked just fine. We also left a football there so other people could ply some type of ball while they are there. Everyone really loved the hot tub. I canât wait to enjoy another stay there. Absolutely peaceful and loved watching the wildlife. Thanks for such an amazing experience. Look forward to it again soon!!
This little cabin was perfect. The listing was exactly as describedâŠ
Super clean
Close to Lake
Amenities provided
Plenty of supplies in cabin
Hot tub
Everything was perfect!
Absolutely LOVED the cabin. It comes exactly as listed. Everything was in working condition. It was private, cozy, and we were able to detach from society. No WiFi, no TVâs, but there are some games, puzzles, a large table, and the hot tub was great. I was also able to contact the host with quick responses. We plan to make this trip often.
2nd time we have been but was disappointed this time.
The hot tub was disgusting and had a brown scum around the top of the tub. The water was not clear at all and it had a funky smell to it. This was one of the main reasons we picked this cabin was to enjoy the hot tub.
I love the location and these cabins are essentially the only listings in at minimum 20mi radius that offer a hot tub. They just need a little love. Re-caulking bathroom showers wouldn't hurt and making sure furniture like dining tables aren't wobbly or barely together. My biggest recommendation would be adding mattress toppers or replacement. All in all it was a good stay. Only 2 problems we encountered during our stay.
1) standing water inside the dishwasher. This was rather unpleasant.
2) microfiber/microfiber-cotton blend sheets. Due to a skin condition I cannot use these sheets. Thankfully I trusted my instincts and brought my own from home just in case.
This cabin was a cute little cabin nestled back into the trees. Overall it worked well for our group of 7, but I wouldnât recommend any more than that! The only downside was the extremely close proximity to other cabins which didnât afford much privacy. There was a nice fire pit, but unfortunately no firewood left (thankfully the store close by sells some!). Itâs not far from food options or a store if you prefer to cook your own items also! The hot tub was also a nice touch though it didnât get much use from our group as it was the middle of summer! Overall, the cabin was a clean, nice place for a quick weekend away!
We came to the lake to relax and enjoy the water. The cabin was conveniently located and quiet. We appreciated the cleanliness and seclusion. Great place for a lake getaway! We look forward to returning soon!
I love staying in these cabins. More amenities than most. Property maintenance/cleaners and owners are always super helpful if something isnât right. My niece even left her stuffed animal behind once and the cleaning crew was nice enough to drop it off to us because we were still in the area. The one thing I will warn is the chiggers because of the woods so be sure to pack bug spray if you use the fire pit. Thank you for another lovely stay this week!
Overall the Wolf Pack Cabin, one of three cabins in the complex was a nice place. It sits ~two miles from the little township of Pittsburgh where one can go to Alps for grocery needs and more, as well as a gas station. . It is a gravel parking lot with the three rustic natural wood cabins sitting about 20-30 feet from each other. Each cabin has a fire spot with either logs or outdoor chairs around it. Firewood may be available as described out by the dumpster as you come in, but they also sell bundles of firewood at Alps. There really isn't a view if that's a concern-- our back neighbor was a big rental storage facility and the woods. The inside was very clean. Decorated in a kind of primarily fishing oriented wildlife decor theme, with natural unpainted pine and rustic trim, the front room has a very comfortable three person and two person couch. On the right side of the cabin as you come in the front door are two bedrooms. The first is the master bedroom with an incredibly comfortable mattress. It feels like a super king size. The only complaints on this bedroom would be the need for more outlets--there is a lamp on the bedside but no outlet. The main outlet is beside the door, so I would advise bringing an extension cord for things like mobile phones etc. The kitchen had a fridge, dishwasher, stove, microwave and basic condiments. Coffee grounds and filter with a coffee maker and some cooking utensils. The biggest downside for us though was the hot tub. We had switched locations specifically to have a hot tub to relax too after boating on the beautiful Pomme de Terre lake. The problem was that the hot tub was unbelievably hot when we got there and the circuit board must have been not working because the +/- buttons would not work. While the temperature read 104 degrees, it felt like it was many degrees above that and incredibly painful for more than a couple of seconds-- and I like hot hot tubs. The owners apparently were waiting on a hot tub tech to assess the situation, but we felt a bit cheated if only because it was advertised and we had looked forward to it as part of the vacation experience. I'm sure this will be fixed in the future and will be nice amenity for future stays. Keep in mind there is no wifi. AT&T, TMobile data networks did not work inside the cabin, and a Verizon mobile mifi had to be placed out in the car for signal strength to enable wifi. Overall it was a nice, very clean place that I would recommend.
Clean, cute cabin exactly as advertised. Very close to great fishing & swimming spots. Cabins are a little close together so if you're looking for a secluded in the woods experience this might not be for you. It was just what our family needed & was looking for.
Great little property for a remote get away. We stayed for the Show Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway which was only about a 20 minute drive. Only downside or upside was not much cell service, no wifi, and no TV. It was very relaxing to rest your mind from technology.
