A beautiful little cottage, very nice cosy. It had all necessary equipment and in a great location. We loved it and really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!
We have stayed in this lovely cottage over New Year for the last 3 years, perfect location everything on your doorstep and beautifully appointed cottage...
We loved our stay and got some wonderful hiking in. We enjoyed food at the local pubs and the convenience of self catering. The local shop was well stocked. Wish there had been a clothes washer in the place as we got pretty muddy and wet on our hike but other than that fantastic place with everything we needed.
We stayed 3 nights in this cosy cottage. Eating in the back garden by the river was lovely and Beddgelert has plenty of outdoor things to enjoy (walks, pubs, couple of shops) would recommend for a short break.
A lovely start to our honeymoon, enjoyed reminiscing about our big day with a glass of champagne by the fire and river. Walks great from the cottage, no need to use the car.
We had a very fine holiday. The accommodation was great. Big enough for the four of us. A nice garden, fully equipped kitchen. The house was located in the middle of a nice touristic town Beddgelert, but still a lot of privacy. A nice place for a holiday whit many options to have a nice (walking) day out
A really cute cottage with some lovely personal touches. Small garden overlooks the river and it is a short walk to the local amenities and many beautiful walks . It is also close to many tourist destinations in the Snowdonia area. We particularly enjoyed our visit to the unique Portmeirion village .
A lovely terraced cottage in the centre of a charming Welsh village
This property had all amenities and made a perfect place to stay for a walking holiday in South Snowdonia. It was clean and tidy, a great ground-floor bathroom, a homely kitchen/dining room, a small but cosy lounge, comfy beds and a garden overlooking the river. Well-situated in the heart of the village, close to shops, pubs, cafes and restaurant. Access to great valley walks with lakes, rivers and local peaks. Would definitely stay here again!
We really loved our stay in this cottage! The kitchen was really well equipped, the beds were really comfy and we adored the terrace by the streams.
Location is super and although you can't park directly outside it was easy to find on-street parking close by even though it was a very busy and sunny weekend. Several pubs and places to eat within a few minutes walk. We loved the bistro, though it's a good idea to book.
Beautiful walks from the house and the bus stop close by.
Lovely little cottage with all the things you need for a comfortable break. Lots of cooking utensils, crockery, glasses etc. Great central location in the heart of the village. Parking was no problem using the off road instructions, and a lovely 2 min walk over the river bridge from there. Highly recommend the Hebog bistro to eat. Our only suggestion is that as thereâs a small freezer, it could be included in the listing to help with shopping plans on arrival. We ordered an Asda delivery which worked well. Our favourite spot in the cottage was the garden by the river and meeting the resident robin! Thank you for a lovely stay.
The property was exceptional, all the little extras were unexpected but really appreciated. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and the beds were great. Everything you would need was provided.
However sitting in the garden listening to the river running and watching people swimming and enjoying the beauty was just fantastic.
Would definitely book again, really good base to explore the area or just stay put.
Beautiful riverside location central to All village amenities.Very easy to find and access. Full of charm and character. Beds cosy and comfy. Very clean. Comms via VBRO/EXPEDIA were poor but direct comms with Derek was excellent and 10/10 responsive. đđ
Nice little welcome pack on arrival but would have preferred a proper bottle of wine rather than the alcohol free version providedđł but that may be just us winosđ
Would definitely look to stay again if in the area and would highly recommend đđđ though its not suitable for disabled guests due to steep staircase which is typical of such period properties
Would definitely recommend Hebog for dining - outstanding. All pubs within less than 5 min walk and loads to do in local and wider area.
Only one thing ( other than proper wine đ) could make this accommodation perfect and that would be a hot tub đ
We booked Clydfan Cottage for a long weekend break mid January and arrived just as thew snow was beginning to fall. We'd stayed in the beautiful village of Beddgelert before but this was our first stay in Clydfan and what a great find it turned out to be. The cottage has a very traditional and homely feel with nice decoration throughout. The added twist was the contemporary bathroom with underfloor heating, which, considering the deep snow outside, was extremely welcome. Clydfan is the perfect base from which to explore the fantastic mountains, quite literally on the doorstep. Once back down in the village at the end of a long day the local pubs provide a welcome stop off for a drink before returning to the cottage for a relaxing evening in front of the wood burning stove. One regret is that I didn't get to experience sitting out at the back of the cottage and idling away a few hours watching the river go by, but will save that for a return visit once the weather has turned warmer. Highly recommended.
The cottage was charming, but unfortunately a little tired in its decor. It was perfectly comfortable but in places a little lacking in cleanliness. Please make sure you take some provisions with you ie. Milk and bread, as there is no welcome pack at this cottage, I would have gladly exchanged the bottle of non alcoholic wine for a pint of milk ! There was a couple of packets of biscuits, the type you get in hotel rooms, ,and sachets of coffee, tea etc but frankly the basket should be binned ! and take loo roll as there was only a small amount on the roll when we arrived and no spare. There is no allocated parking for the cottage, there is a small bay for about 4 cars about 50 mtrs from the front door, first come first serve, but we stayed a week and never got the chance to park there, so street parking was required, itâs not a big issue I admit but it is a factor. The village itself is glorious, with ample places to eat,we ate a couple of times at the Prince Llewelyn on the bridge, good food and reasonably priced, also a couple of little gift shops and a little convenience store for essentials but the prices are ridiculously high, tin of HP beans..ÂŁ1:95 ! I highly recommend walking over the little bridge at the bottom of the lane where the gift shops are and take the walk down along the Aberglaslyn Pass truly beautiful scenery. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Beddgelert, the scenery was spectacular, it was tranquil and we would definitely go back to Snowdonia
We loved our stay here! A lovely little cottage perfectly located in a charming village by Snowdon with great pubs and independent shops. We didn't have a car and using the local buses worked out just fine which is a bonus. Highly recommend!
