Petit séjour menant au salon / salle à manger décloisonné avec poutres apparentes et cheminée avec poêle à bois, fenêtres en ‘A’ et cuisine de ferme de style office avec coin repas. . Southlands Barn est nichée dans une cour pittoresque à moins de 5 minutes de route de la plage et du village de Saundersfoot, dans le parc national du littoral du Pembrokeshire. Dix minutes supplémentaires en voiture le long de la côte mènent à la célèbre ville fortifiée de Tenby. Cette superbe grange mitoyenne est sur un seul niveau, avec des planchers en chêne et est pleine de caractère. Il offre un espace de vie très spacieux et décloisonné avec un poêle à bois, des poutres apparentes et des fenêtres à châssis «A» offrant une vue magnifique sur la campagne environnante et la vallée. Les travaux de pierre soigneusement restaurés à l'extérieur de cette grange témoignent également d'un savoir-faire artisanal. Pendant que vous dînez en plein air, admirez la vue dégagée depuis le patio et apercevez peut-être un faisan ou deux! Saundersfoot lui-même a acquis une réputation pour sa cuisine gastronomique et propose un groupe de restaurants fabuleux servant des produits locaux. Promenez-vous le long de la plage après avoir goûté aux délices locaux et découvrez le charme merveilleux qui caractérise Saundersfoot. Il y a une foule d'attractions locales pour toute la famille, y compris Folly Farm, Oakwood et Manor House. À Marros, vous pourrez faire de l'équitation et Tenby dispose d'un parcours de golf de 18 trous. Des excursions en bateau sont également possibles vers l’île de Caldey, où les moines cisterciens invitent les visiteurs à partager sa tranquillité. Schöne umgebaute Scheune

Gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung. Die sehr große Fensterfront erlaubt eine schöne Aussicht über die Felder und den großen Garten, ideal für Familien mit Kinder. Sehr ruhig gelegen, nur kurze Fahrten nach Saundersfoot oder Tenby. Bequemes Bett, großer Kühlschrank, Waschmaschine und eigentlich alles was man braucht. Einziger Kritikpunkt - Wohnung ist nur oberflächlich sauber, im manchen Schränken, Nischen und Ecken haben sich viel Staub und Spinnweben angesammelt. Es wäre mal wieder eine grünlichere Reinigung notwendig, das Bett war aber Tiptop. Alles in Allem eine empfehlenswerte Wohnung.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Southlands Barn and we had a lovely week there again.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at Southlands Barn and we had a lovely week there again. The accommodation is so luxurious and well equipped and the area couldn't be better, there is so much to do we still have a list of things we want to do the next time we visit. Our teenagers really enjoyed the new comfy larger beds in the 2nd bedroom and it's great having 2 bathrooms. The outside area is great too with plenty of lawn for outdoor games and two patio areas to catch the sun whenever it comes out, also the views are superb. The wine and chocolates and milk in the fridge on arrival were much appreciated too. We will definitely be coming again. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Spacious, comfortable and well equipped in a pleasant and peaceful setting. We enjoyed rambles from the cottage to Saundersfoot and Tenby and along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. We particularly enjoyed the stroll from Carew Castle to Cresselly Quay Just one minor irritation. We always book a cottage with a dishwasher, which was especially important on this occasion as there were no pubs or restaurants open and I was cooking dinner every evening, but there were no dishwasher tablets and nowhere nearby to buy them. There was only one tea towel too. We chose the location to avoid crowds, but had to venture into Tenby to purchase them. I had telephoned beforehand to ask if we needed to bring anything too. We had an enjoyable stay at Southlands Barn which is spacious and fitted out to a high standard. The barn benefits from underfloor heating and a log burner is sited in the open plan lounge/ kitchen. It's nicely situated in a quiet rural area with only a 10 minute drive to both Tenby & Saundersfoot. There is a good size lawned area which is fenced in and perfect if you have a dog. Even the bad weather did not spoil the enjoyment of our 4 night stay. Highly recommended.

There are times when you arrive at your holiday destination and hope that the pictures of your choice and other reviews are honest and truthful. I can say, without doubt that the pictures and reviews of Southlands Barn didn’t do it justice. From the moment we arrived to the last when we left with a heavy heart was fabulous and we actually enjoyed coming back to the barn at the end of each day. The cottage was very clean, had quality furnishings and luxurious bathrooms and the added extra of a welcome package was very thoughtful. Our party consisted of myself, my husband and our dog and we enjoyed watching him trying to make friends with the sheep on the other side of the fence, chasing the bats at dusk and trying to tell the very lovely chocolate lab Bruce that he was in charge!! Although you feel in the middle of nowhere because it is so very quiet and peaceful, Saundersfoot, Tenby and the gorgeous Amroth are all a short drive away. We had a wonderful, relaxing time and are definitely hoping to return sometime very soon.

Lovely location,excellent accommodation,great for access to Saundersfoot,wisemans bridge,Tenby and Amroth only 5-10 mins car drive. Saundersfoot accessible by foot but a long trek (45-60 mins) and all uphill on the way back. Can’t fault the Barn in any way. Clean,comfortable and well equipped. A great week’s family break and hope to return one day.

A wonderfully peaceful place to stay for relaxation. The view from the lounge window was amazing and it was a pleasure to see the rabbits running around and the various birds that visited the garden. We had everything we needed for our stay to make it a very good holiday.

We had a great week, helped by some lovely weather. The cottage was also great. It was unfortunate that the underfloor heating was not working following the fire in the biomass building but we were given logs for the burner and other heaters which together with the immersion heater for hot water so all was very comfortable. We will go back!

We had a fabulous week at Southlands Barn, the cottage is very well equipped and everything is finished to a high standard. The cottage is spacious, comfortable and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog, with a lovely outlook. The lounge area has really nice sofas (and a chair) and the woodburner was an extra bonus that we enjoyed. Each bedroom is stylishly decorated and both of the bathrooms are lovely, with a massive shower cubicle and fantastic power showers! The kitchen was a dream, quality appliances with everything that was needed. You need to use your car to visit the local places but that was not a problem and there is so much to see and do in the area, truly beautiful and stunning scenery! Thank you to the owners for their care and attention and for making Southlands Barn a "real home from home" and a wonderful place to stay and fully relax!

Despite the appaling gales and rain, and a major drama in the middle of the first night when the building housing the biomass boiler which provided the heating to the cottage and two other houses caught fire and burned to the ground, we had a relaxing and very enjoyable holiday. Althuogh having so much to sort out, the owner was very quick to provide electric heaters and an endless supply of logs for the excellent woodburner. Because of the weather we did not do as much walking as intended, but there are so many castles and beaches in this lovely area. We intend returning to the cottage in the future when we hope the weather (and the boiler) will be better.

Excellent accommodation - very attractive, well equipped and masses of space. Loved underfloor heating in bathrooms. Only 6 minute drive to Saundersfoot. No downsides at all.
