Lovely cosy cottage, great memories we made. It was a very deserved break for our family to close a difficult year. We stayed from 29th Dec until 3rd Jan 2021 and we came back full of batteries and with the nice feeling of having spent quality time with the family. Great walks with the dog in the nearby Ethy Woods, enjoyed very much with the fireplace and kids loved to rosted marshmellows :-). The town is very quiet so nights are greatfully peacefull. Thank you!

Lovely cosy cottage in a stunning location, perfect for a relaxing get away and a good base to explore Cornwall.
We stayed during COVID and found the cottage very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Great little village with friendly locals, pub and shop just a few yards away. Wouldnât hesitate to book again!

Fabulous location, very picturesque. Had interesting time with spring high tide coming just upto first step of cottage - the house being much higher and at no risk. Had to park the car slightly up the slope opposite and all was fine. Shame no welcome pack was provided. Kitchen equipment was limited (due to Covid 19 cleaning restrictions) but just adequate, Frying pan was tiny - only big enough for two eggs at a time. Electric cooker took some getting used to (I prefer gas hobs). Beds were comfortable and clean. House backs onto lane and pub dining room opposite. Good food and good value in the pub (Ship Inn). Roads to village are mainly single track so watch for traffic. Road and river outside house was usually quiet (apart from the ducks!). Off the beaten track for most tourists and thus relatively unspoilt.

Absolutely loved our week in Watercolour Cottage. A wonderful peaceful area. Great pub very close with good food and the best views from the cottage garden.

Absolutely loved every minute of being in this charming cottage.
Absolutely loved every minute of being in this charming cottage. The photos really don't do it justice. The cottage is so much bigger than we imagined. Lacking in kitchen equipment, although this may be due to COVID-19. The local shop and pub/restaurant are so friendly and accommodating. Lovely walks from the cottage itself, and the children loved the stepping stones across the lake at low tide and swimming in the lake at high tide. We were there for Spring high tide which caused the river to burst its banks, so the kids had fun feeding swans from our back steps! Central location for days out. Hoping to return next year!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Lerryn is far enough away from The real tourist hotspots on the coast but not too quiet, particularly on sunny days. A number really enjoyable walks nearby. Some would describe the house as dated but it has everything you need and is really cosy. We would not hesitate to stay again.

The location is fantastic. The cottage is clean and comfortable. The electrical equipment seems to have lots of extension leads and adapters and the heating system seems a bit haphazard and complicated.
Nice cottage in a very beautiful and very quiet village in Cornwall.
Nice cottage in a very beautiful and very quiet village in Cornwall.
It is so remote that we had no cell phone coverage (which can be a blessing).
The local shop can provide basic needs but when you want to do any more shopping you will need to drive to the next town (a 15 minutes drive).
Watercolor cottage was very comfortable and the village of Lerryn is fantastic.
Watercolor cottage was very comfortable and the village of Lerryn is fantastic. It has to be said though that the cottage is in need of some updating. Furniture and carpets are showing their age. Also, having stayed at other holiday cottages who provide guests with a welcome package of essentials and even local produce, it was disappointing to find just a litre of milk in the fridge.
