The property was cold and damp, some Mould, with little care. The radiator heating didnt come on automatically, seemed to be set at a low temperature. It could be overridden at individual radiators but that didn't always work and we never got the living room radiator to work. It was reported in August by another victim but a month later nothing had been done. There was an electric fire in the living room but was very temperamental. Sometimes it had to be switched off for a while to reset. For some reason, the owners think a smart meter is needed with a weekly budget set so you can decide between staying warm or saving the owners money. TV remote - the important select button didnt work without repeated attempts. We took ages to logout of Netfix because we couldnt get it to work and nearly had to leave it logged in. The place needs a deep clean. If you like wildlife, there's plenty inside, spiders running around and in every nook and cranny, even a centipede crawling up a wall. There is a useful cassette player which I cant work out whether has been there since the 80s or is there for a future revival. I haven't suffered from asthma since I was a child but something in that place was making me short-breathed and wheezy - Mould? Dog hair? Who knows The owners clearly only care about making as much out of the property as they can. If I were you I would avoid. The area of course is another matter and well worth exploring as we have for many years.

Had a lovely week. Cottage was in a very quiet location that suited us to a T. Plenty of walking & cycling to be done locally. View looking over the Crinan Canal, especially with the autumnal colours, was beautiful. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Amazing quiet canal-side location.

Amazing quiet canal-side location. Kayaking pretty much from front door, walks and cycles along quiet road which then turns into towpath. Cottage is well equipped, clean and comfortable, would stay again. Only downside......lovely to sit outside, but only 2 fold out chairs and a broken bench, please replace as such a nice place to sit.

Lovely clean comfortable warm cottage on the banks of the beautiful Crinan canal We had a fantastic week even though the weather was very changeable ( get the right gear on and who cares) Superb location for walking, biking and a good base for exploring the Knapdale forest and beyond A little disappointed with the local Cairnbarn hotel which smelt of damp but the food in the Kilmartin hotel a couple of miles up the road was excellent and the local fish mongers in Lochgilphead fantastic. In a nutshell a beautiful part of the world and a good time was had by all. A lovely cottage and would book again

Cosy, comfortable small terraced house overlooking Crinan Canal.

Cosy, comfortable small terraced house overlooking Crinan Canal. Good centre for visiting Kilmartin Glen and museum, Dunadd, Carnasserie Castle, etc. Arduaine and Crarae Gardens not too far away and well worth a visit. Pleasant walk along canal to Crinan. Good base for walking holiday. Access road at rear of property could do with some maintenance. TV reception variable.

Lovely comfortable warm cottage, great for exploring the area, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Our only grouse was the lack of towels. Should be made clearer on the website that they are not provided. Also a drying rack would be useful. Thank you.

A comfortable and homely cottage set on the banks of the busy (when we were there anyway!) Crinan Canal. If you are into archaeology and early Scottish history it's in an ideal location, very close to Kilmartin Glen. If you are into birdwatching the coast is only 15 minutes away. If you want an exciting excursion take the boat from Crinan harbour to the Corryvreckan whirlpool. Exhilarating! Shops nearby in Lochgilphead and good food at two local hotels. Recommended.

Poor value for mobey

We were extremely disappointed with the property. It needed quite a lot of TLC. Smelt of curry when we arrived and looked as though it had been hurriedly got ready. Bedding was just thrown on. However, the area and the weather made up this disappointment and we were able to be out of the cottage except for sleeping.
