The property is a nice little cottage in a good location with multiple pubs and restaurants nearby. The main issue that let it down, was cleanliness. There was food debris in the cutlery drawer, and I had to wash the grill pan before I could use it. Bedding was clearly well used and had stains on the covers. Generally, the place could use a deep clean. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and it suited our needs.

We stayed over Christmas and had a brilliant time. The house is perfect, and had everything we needed: The lounge with wood-burner is lovely, the kitchen is very well appointed (and bigger than the photo makes it look), and the separate dining area was a nice space for playing games etc as well as eating. Although the house is obviously near the road (as the name implies) this didn't bother us at all - it's not a particularly busy road (at least, not in December) and there was very little traffic at night. Beds were very comfortable. There is a garden, which although we didn't use, would be nice in summer. There is room to store bikes etc outside. Surrounding area is great - within 5 minutes' drive (or 45ish mins walk by the river) of Ironbridge, lots of museums, and close to larger shops in Telford. We hope to return soon! Thanks.

The Old Toll House is a lovely cottage for getting away and relaxing.
The Old Toll House is a lovely cottage for getting away and relaxing. Perfectly located for the amenities and walks around Ironbridge Gorge and within short driving distance of many more locations it was perfect for our stay.
The cottage itself is nicely decorated and with the log fire makes for cosy relaxing evenings. Due to Co-Vid the owners advise that some items may not be available but in fairness it had everything we needed.
Whilst Ironbridge itself has limited shops there are plenty within a 5 minute drive in Madeley.
The only issue is that during the day the road can be quite busy but it didn't bother us in the slightest in fact it became quite amusing watching the amount of vans that had to turn around because they couldn't fit over the bridge.
Very comfy, nice walks, good local pubs, museums and the Maws Craft Centre, it was a lovely break and we would certainly return

We had a really pleasant stay here with our 3 dogs. Welcome bottle of prosecco was a very nice touch.Close to some very nice pubs and some really good walks. Price was higher than we would have wanted to pay for the duration we booked, but given there is a pandemic it was expected due to more people wanting a staycation. Would definitely come back when hopefully things have settled in the world.

Had a lovely holiday with our dogs, close to all the Ironbridge attractions with a couple of lovely pubs nearby. The cottage was well equipped and the utility room made it ideal for a holiday with dogs!
Quirky cottage with lots of excellent walks and cycle tracks on the doorstep.
Quirky cottage with lots of excellent walks and cycle tracks on the doorstep. On a busy junction which can be noisy at times. Well placed for local museums and great pubs close by.
