A lovely setting perfect for children the garden was a godsend it was secure and safe for toddlers
The cleanliness of the cottage was let down by the presence of dead flies , as we cleaned them up more would appear to the amusejent of the children counting the dead flies...a mop and bucket woukd also have been helpful so guests could mop the floors daily as the cottage is on a farm.
We would return despite the cottage having a fly issue. I would suggest that guests bring cleaning products as there are not sufficient provided as is usually the case. The hoover was also full of dead flies and smelt it was rancid so I cleaned it out rather than use it in the state we found it in .

I struggled to find a self catering property for myself and my dog but came across Dilys ford farm in lovely little village called Milton just outside Carew.
The location was perfect and the cottage/farm house looked idyllic in the photographs and was within my budget so I booked it for a 7 night stay.
The layout is nice with plenty of parking, lawn area and a small paddock for a dog to run around and play.
The cottage itâs self was well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher etc and WiFi which in these days is important.
It was clean a tidy and cosy but as always there is something that needs a mention and even though I will highly recommend staying as I will definitely do again I must comment on a couple of things which I feel would improve the place.
Firstly I would remove the carpets and replace or take back original tile or hardwood floor as carpets and pets do not mix and there was a slight smell of wee obviously from previous dogs which canât be helped but I think haveing a hard standing floor would make it easier to clean.
Secondly the upstairs bathroom is really not up to standard and really does need a major upgrade or replacing itâs a good job there was a shower downstairs as there was no way I would have used the upstairs bathroom.
I do hope the owners donât think that Iâam being to picky as I do not class myself as a snob and or being very fussy but I do like to be clean and stay in clean places and the slight small and bathroom just took the edge of what was a lovely stay and I do feel other people who stay there might have a slightly more understanding view.
As said I will definitely be going back at some point but I do hope that may be the owners read the feedback and may be resolve the above issues at some point but I would like to state that I would give a 8/10.

Cottage was in a lovely quiet situation but the approach road to it was single track with a double bend in it so a bit scary though it wasn't busy. The cottage was lovely & war & beds very comfy. The bathroom handbasin was very small & the bath very slippery. Although there were hand towels in the kitchen & downstairs toilet there were only one large bath towel per person; usually you get a hand towel per person as well. Although there were 2 large rubbish bins in the kitchen there was no information about where to put the rubbish when full or what could be recycled or when it would be collected.
