The property is very nice for large groups. It is well located. Price is reasonable for Vail. The owner neglected to pay for cable and internet so we were without internet for 2 days. Management tried very hard to correct the owners oversight but it took a long time. On our last day the elevator broke
Beautiful large condo. Our extended family had plenty of room in this condo, with bedrooms and bathrooms to spare. Very clean inside, and had zero issues cooking or relaxing, etc. Did not use the pool or hot tub at the Landmark but the staff there were very friendly and helpful. We also didn't use any of the various TVs or the pool table, but the internet was 100mbit, so we had no issues with connectivity. Great location near Lionshead/Arabelle.
The only negative is the outside of the building itself is a bit confusing with multiple steep staircases that don't all go to the same place (Elderly family members climbed up 3 flights with bags only to find out they went the wrong way?), and the elevator was broken (again? see previous reviews). If this is not a problem for you, or if management confirms the elevator is functional, then I would definitely recommend this property as you can tell a lot of love went into it and it was a wonderful stay.
Good location but the property is quite expensive for its condition. The outside door to one of the bedrooms was swollen and did not open. The bathroom in the upstairs bedroom was quite small.
Great condo, very spacious & slept 11 adults comfortably. Good location, short walk to the lift & lionshead village. The hot tub was a bit farther walk than would have liked and the front desk staff was not super helpful but otherwise enjoyed our stay here
I just returned home from my trip to Lionshead Colorado, where I stayed in a Destination Resorts Managed Building, Enzian.
I hate to do this, but the building was a disaster and I would ensure to never stay in a Destinations Resorts managed property again. The condo itself was fine, met every need. However, the building was not so good. The elevator went out after a day of being on property. I badly sprained my ankle and walking up three flights of steps every time I wanted to leave was painful and daunting. The staff was nice, however everyday I was told âthe part will be here in the AM and the elevator will be fixed. I assume the elevator is still not working.
The condo has many, many positive attributes. For starters, location. The unit is located a short walk from the gondola at Lionshead, has numerous shopping and dining options across the street, and is right at a bus stop for the free Vail bus service.
The condoâs kitchen was well equipped, with everything needed for our group of eight adults. Additionally, the unit is very spacious and comfortable.
While the condo met all of our needs, there are a couple of items that led to a 4-star review vs a 5-star.
1. The pool/hot tub is not conveniently accessible. Being a short walk across the street isnât the end of the world, but just inconvenient enough that several in our group chose not to utilize them.
2. The unit is âcleanâ, but could use a little T.L.C. Items like unpainted drywall repair donât negatively impact your stay or comfort, but are noticeable.
3. The mattresses.......Itâs time they be replaced. Several are so worn out, that there is a natural âdipâ in them. One in particular had a permanent slope down on the side, as if there was constantly a 200lb person sitting on the edge of the bed.
All in all, a good stay; and would stay there again. Would just like to see a few minor (and relatively inexpensive) updates.
The condo was very spacious, well appointed. clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was that the beds in the bedrooms other than the king bedrooms were very lumpy and uncomfortable. The locations was great. We would definitely stay here again!
Each year 4 fathers and our adult sons take a ski trip, this year Vail. This property worked out perfectly for the 11 of us. 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, large dining room table and family room for hanging out. Unit was clean. Kitchen was a bit small for the size of our group but it worked. Two minor maintenance items, both were addressed timely. Property has two garage stalls in the basement. Garage has a low ceiling. We had a Honda Pilot with a Thule box on the roof that would not fit ( was able to park outside). Easy walking distance to the Lionshead ski lifts. Vail Village bus stop is right across the street. Large condo complex is in construction right behind property, workers start early in the AM, pretty noisy, might be a problem if you like to sleep in. Pool and hot-tubs access in the Landmark property across the street, short walk. Given the size of our Group and location we would stay here again.
The location was perfect! Walking distance to lionshead village, and Eagle Bahn Gondola! The place was quite spacious. There is definitely some deferred maintenance, but overall we throughly enjoyed our stay and accommodations.
