We wanted a branching off point to explore Denali. The house is located 15-20 minutes from all the action of Denali, that let us explore during the day and relax at night. We spent our mornings and evenings enjoying the beautiful views from the balcony. Grocery store is close by, and the house is well appointed. We couldâve spent our whole Alaska trip here!
Our group of 6 had a great time here during our visit to Denali. House was clean and fully equipped with everything we needed, and we especially loved the porch up top. Would recommend!
We greatly appreciated the care that the host puts into ensuring the best possible stay for guests. Everything was perfect! The house is gorgeous, the location ideal and the host thought of every detail. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
This is a beautiful property set in a lovely location. We felt like we had great access from the property to Denali national park. The only thing that I would say that was a little annoying is the metal roofs dump the water from the first tier to the second tier and even a light rain which ends up, making a loud noise in the house similar to having tennis shoes in a clothes dryer. Which made it a little difficult to sleep some nights.Other than that the property was perfect.
View from the cabin balcony was so serene and tranquil. I would highly recommend. The cabin is well stocked for all of your needs. Bring a blackout mask for sleeping in the master.
A wonderful stay with a beautiful setting. The house is filled with all the
The house was a beautiful log cabin located in a wooded area. Peaceful and relaxing. The house has all the needed gadgets for the kitchen. The host was very responsive to any questions that i had.
We had a wonderful stay! The house is spacious and extremely well-stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed our mornings and evenings on the front porch so much! Clean, comfortable, and in beautiful, natural surroundings. Perfect place to relax after full day in Denali NP!
This was a cozy property, private yet close to Denali NP. The house and kitchen are very well stocked and we appreciated the extras like bug spray and bear spray! There is a grocery store and restaurants nearby. The house has loads of information about Alaska and we also liked the wide selection of DVDs for entertainment!!
Secluded cabin with excellent amenities! Very comfortable cabin with great views of the mountains. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck after a full day of hiking in Denali. The park was easily accessible from this location. A fantastic stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Denali staying in this cabin that was clean, had everything we needed; was in a gorgeous setting; and was spacious for our family to spread out and enjoy! Ann was super timely in her communications and friendly as well. We would stay here again in a heart-beat! Thank you for a most wonderful stay!
The quietness of the property, the great decks to drink coffee on, the big open kitchen, the fun jacuzzi tub, the closeness to Denali Park⊠everything was A+. Super clean and comfortable. Thank you for a great stay!
Wonderful three night stay at the cabin with my family (two adults and two kids). The cabin was picture perfect and we could not get enough of the views! Cabin was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. My kids liked watching movies in the basement, while my husband and I loved coffee on the upper balcony. Super easy access into the park, near a grocery store and 49th State Brewing. Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely recommend!
Overall great stay! It was very relaxing to start our day out on deck with morning coffee. The beds are comfortable and we all slept well. There are lots of windows. If the extended light from the long summer days will affect you, the host did provide eye masks. We used the kitchen for a couple of meals and it was stocked well. The 49th brewery is close by and has great food! Definitely make reservations or you will be waiting a hour for a table. We utilized the Three Bears Grocery store which has most items needed for meal prep. It is an easy drive to Denali. Would definitely stay here again!
As 3 generations traveling together, we really enjoyed our stay in this cabin! The location is excellent; we felt like we were staying in the Alaskan wilderness, but the cabin is actually very close to the main road and Three Bears grocery and other businesses in Healy, as well as an easy 20 minute drive to the National Park.
The cabin is very well equipped, with comfortable beds, plenty of linens, a washer and dryer, and everything you need in the kitchen to cook full meals. There is also a great space in the basement for watching movies, and a HUGE library of movies to choose from. Due to data caps on the available internet, streaming movies and TV isn't allowed, but this honestly wasn't a big deal for us. Otherwise, the wifi worked great.
The best part of the cabin is the multiple outdoor spaces where we enjoyed spending time. Several of the spaces are covered, so even on rainy days, you can enjoy the surrounding nature and gorgeous views.
Overall, we'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!
We wanted to be close to Denali, but be able to have more than a hotel room (to cook meals, etc). This home was perfect! Close enough to everything to be convenient, with all the necessities, but away from all the tourist hotels! With 7 of us, it was much less cost then multiple hotel room as well! Would highly recommend if youâre planning outings from Denali Nation Park!
We came to Healy with the view of hiking in Denali National Park. A fire started too close to the entrance and the park was shut down while we were there. We did do a flight seeing tour which was amazing! We soaked in the views from this beautiful home. There are black spruce pines in every direction with mountains behind them. It is a phenominal view. The house has lots of character as it is a log cabin. You are assured of privacy while being within 10 minutes of Healy. We saw a moose and her calf munching on some leaves and a fox and her two kits on the way to the flight seeing tour. However we wanted to see more of Alaska, so we opted to move to our next spot which was Girdwood. There are many sites along AK1 worth stopping to look around.
Beautiful Cabin, Gorgeous Views, Could Use Some Updates.
We did a ton of research and this was by far and away in the running for the top three of places we looked at online. It checked all the boxes, was an easy drive into the park, yet quiet and a bit remote. Access to the grocery was nice and the view is pretty lovely. Generally, it did the ticked all the boxes.
We were a little bummed out to learn that a few of the amenities were out of service shortly before arrival. The bones of the space are outstanding, but could use a few updatesânotably the front steps. We appreciated all of the provided bug spray, bear spray, movies and board games. I'd stay here again, but just note that the pictures certainly make it look a touch more luxurious than it is in reality. Also note that the upstairs loft has little to no way to block out the sun, so one of the king beds will require sleeping masks.
I am a life-long Alaskan, born and raised in Fairbanks where we still currently reside. We love raising our family in our little community and work full-time as accountants. Our children range in age from 9 to 18 years old and also have our parents living in the area. We try to understand and anticipate the needs of our guests and love sharing our family property for others to enjoy. When we are lucky enough to travel with our family we rent VRBO properties ourselves, which helps us come up with new ideas to improve our own! At the beginning and after the close of every tourism season we put as much into the cabin property as we can to continue improvements and maintenance. This property is truly loved and appreciated by our entire family.
Our family was looking for a unique Alaskan property and found this vacant land for sale on Stampede Road. Everything was painstakingly and lovingly picked out and built to create this custom log home a little over a decade ago. It has the rustic feel with modern amenities.
