We stayed at the house for a week and have mixed feelings overall. The positives first:The house and garden are beautiful and very well maintained. The outdoor area has a lot of charm, especially the private, secluded Jacuzzi, which we really enjoyed. The location is also great if youâre planning day trips, especially to Rovinj or the surrounding region â itâs well-connected by road. However, there are some serious downsides:- The house is directly next to a major road, just behind a gas station â this isnât clear from the photos. The traffic noise is constant and can be really disturbing, especially if you're expecting peace and quiet.- While the Jacuzzi is well hidden, the pool and garden are in full view from the road. The wall is quite low and there are more people walking or driving by than you'd expect â definitely not as private as it looks in the pictures.- The pool is unheated (which we knew from the listing), so it can be too cold to enjoy depending on the weather.- Unfortunately, the beds were quite uncomfortable â we all had trouble sleeping well.- The biggest issue: the railway sleepers used as interior decoration. They smell extremely strong and unpleasant â a heavy, tar-like odor that really permeates the whole living area. It was honestly hard to spend time inside because of it.
Nicely new build home with plently space and hottube on the roof terrace
On quiet location situated villa. By car all the interesting places of istria are within 1h drive. The house is newly build in 2015 and is in excellent condition. The owners are really helpfull and have helped us with the day tours and with info on the region. For our kids it was also a great place as it had plenty of grass to play and had fireplaces for roosting marshmallow. Also the forest next to the house was exciting to explore: wild asparagus!
Overall a wonderfull holiday in a great house.
