Dear Mrs Colwell, We were expecting such a misleading review, as a way to express your disappointment when informed that you had to pay for the extra guests. Concerning the villa’s layout, it is clear from the listing’s pictures that the main bathroom is not attached to the master bedroom, so the 2nd bedroom is the one which is ensuite. Despite its smaller surface, the 2nd bedroom, is not only ensuite with a full bathroom (wide shower included), but also has the best view from the window over the Jacuzzi (2 photos on the listing), which was deliberately cut from your review. Nontheless, throughout all these months prior to your arrival, and recently arranging your pickups, restaurants etc, you never had mentioned anything or asked no additional information concerning the 2nd bedroom, which would have been easily sent to you (even a walkable 3D model is available for guests with a reservation) until you still were in the fully refundable cancelation time limit. The picture you are referring to was online at the time of your reservation, and you had full knowledge of the layout, but was withdrawn in order to start updating the listing for next year’s reservations, since our place has already been upgrated. That is why on your review you use present not past tense. That upgrade mentioned above is a fact, verified from many previous reviews, where becomes clear that you are the only one who consider grey colour with a traditional technique of scrubbed mortar (the jacuzzi colour) as “dirty looking”, which is also a very interesting point of view for architects and engineers to consider. None of your review’s points were mentioned throughout your stay - despite our constant contact - as the one of not finding a place to eat breakfast - despite three tables at the property - which would have been dealt with, as all your demands did. Finally, making a point that it was a challenge reaching our property is also misleading, considering that our villa is on the second line of houses (there is an accurate location on Vrbo), close to the pedestrian road, only 42 wide steps (similar to a 2nd floor apartment), but taking as a fact that you hiked the 10km distance to Fira, it is questionable how this was a challenge for you. We would suggest to all future hosts to be very careful for such a reservation of current guest, as it would probably be for less guests than the expected ones, and a bad review as an undercover threat for charging correct fees.
