it is very nice being so close to the resort if you have younger kids - for $2/day you can use the resort pool (both indoor and outdoor pools) and there is a small playground there as well. In addition you can walk from the house to a small lake beach area that has paddle boats, kayaks and paddle boards for rent
It was a graduation celebration for my daughter đ„łđ„ł
Everyone enjoyed it. Plenty of things to do for us all. And plenty of privacy in the home
For each group when we were all ready to retreat to our own rooms. Overall each group that came just loved the home and the beautiful scenery around and the limitless options of things to do. Great vacay for my daughterâs graduation celebration đ
House was very nice and well stocked with more than we needed. Very spacious, beds and linens were comfortable. Was great to walk around and explore the lake and area. Was nice to be close to Cashiers for groceries, dining etc. Very much would recommend this place and would like to come back during summer!
John from the beginning was great to work with, making sure everything was going well. The condo has a great view of the lake and we enjoyed the trail around it almost every day. My teens enjoyed the extras that Sapphire Valley Resort had to offer with the pool, fitness center, golf and zip line. The condo is comfy and is filled all the extras you look for to call it home for a week.
What can I say, this is a Gorgeous and Relaxing place to stay. The owner is also the best, the was some issue on the AC when we get there but he did his best to resolve it and also to compensate he had paid for my familyâs dinner on one of the great bbq place in town.
The area is beautiful, peaceful and serene. One of the best vacation we had specially itâs near a lake and a lot of place to hike.
A spacious, well- appointed home with many conveniences and entertainment just a short walk away. The owner was gracious and attentive. A lovely experience.
We spent 5 days at Johnâs lovely townhome and had a great time. The view of the lake was spectacular and all the interior and exterior spaces were very comfortable. We were also not far away from loads of waterfalls. hikes and other outdoor activities. I definitely recommend the place.
We had a wonderful stay!! The location is great. So much do to around property such as fishing, paddle boats, paddle boards, kayaking and canoeing. We came for a wedding but our stay here made it a great vacation. Thank you!

Great family townhome
Awesome place. Great scenery and plenty of space for a big family. John was very helpful and attentive. Great hiking and waterfalls in the surrounding area as well as the ski resort. Look forward to returning!
Well furnished, well supplied property and a very pleasant owner
3 Emerald Cove is a delightful place, and I would highly recommend it for families. Itâs well designed, with plenty of spaces to be in a group or to find a little solitude. The few problems we noted were not insurmountable, and we look forward to visiting again ourselves. Owner John Ryan is very pleasant and helpful â his knowledge of the area and his suggestions for activities helped make our visit even more enjoyable.

Beautiful view. Very spacious, comfortable beds. Kitchen loaded with all your needs. great location
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay. Owner was easy to work with. The house had everything you needed. Quiet , easy access to community center, the lake. We would definitely revisit again. Great place for reunions. Lots of lake activities. Community center had outdoor and indoor pool. 8 clay tennis courts. Close to restaurants
Spent a week in this lovely condo with my family. The condo was clean, the furniture and decor light and comfortable. Owner definitely makes an effort for his visitors to feel at home. Lovely spot to unwind with family.
The property was clean, updated, and stocked with everything we needed. Our family had a wonderful time, and we have already decided we're coming back very soon!
With 6 adults, 2 kids and a baby we had a perfect fit in this beautiful home. Everything was there and stocked up. We were able to truly relax! The view from the deck was so beautiful, especially in the morning. There was also a really cute beach on the lake with boats and things to rent as well as ice cream. This was a short walk from the house, down on the trail. We also really loved the cooler temperatures!
I write this review with reservation. Because I want it available each time I want to visit Sapphire valley. John, the owner, wants everything convenient for the renter. He is very responding to any needs or issues. The property has great lake views and is very convenient to restaurants and shopping. We stayed there with two other couples and used it as our base camp for hiking around the area. We will be back!
this Is one of my favorite locations between my favorite towns in the mountains. we truly enjoyed this property. great views, plenty of space, clean and comfortable. convenient to everything!
This lake house is outstanding; we hated to leave!
The lake house is a mountain dream! Each bedroom is actually a private suite, complete with full bath, large walk in closet and spacious vanity. The view of the lake is astounding! Every room has a magnificent view and the large deck adjacent to the living, dining and kitchen adds significantly to the wonderful experience. The owner takes extra care to provide most of the needed supplies, linen, towels, soap and other necessary items. He also checked on us to "see if we needed anything", this was an unexpected and delightful touch! They also provide a library of local history, telescopes and outdoor furniture. If you like the fresh mountain air, life at a quiet, pristine lake, hiking, birding or just relaxing in a beautiful environment, this is the place for you!.
My group and I had a great stay at this well appointed townhome! The decor was modern and everything was clean and spacious. We also really enjoyed the big wraparound balcony and view of the lake.
The location was perfect -- about a 5-7 minute drive from the Cashiers town center but you feel like you are in the middle of the forest. It is also about 5 minutes from the grocery.
The owners have a lot of birding equipment and bird feeders available if you are into that.
A tip- There is a nice walking path that goes around the lake about a 1 minute walk from the townhome. The walk takes around an hour and I highly recommend it.
Will definitely be returning!
My family and I stayed at Emerald Cove for three nights and had a great time. The house had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms were comfortable and the decks were a real bonus. We will definitely stay again.
We had a great time at this place. The balconies wrap around and are very large. Everything in the place is new and shiny. The owners did a splendid job in renovating the place. We will be back. It was great to have both mountain and lake views. The binoculars and scopes were lots of fun.

I live in New Orleans and have vacation properties in Pass Christian, MS, Dauphin Island, AL and Sapphire, NC. We strive to provide high-end amenities and comforts in settings close to Nature.
I love the mountains. The weather is cool in summer. There are lots of nearby amenities, restaurants and recreational opportunities. This area is the most biologically significant part of the Appalachian Mountains and is known for the diversity of its plant and animal life, including more than 160 species of birds. Few regions outside the tropics offer such opportunities for observing and enjoying the benefits of such a unique ecosystem. These Southern Blue Ridge Mountains, some of the oldest mountains in the world, are home to an incredible wealth of species. They contain the world's greatest number of endemic plants and animals, meaning these species occur nowhere else in the world. They are home to 400 rare plants and more than 250 endemic plants. The streams are home to crayfish found nowhere else in the world. More than 230 fish species have been documented, and new species continue to be discovered. These mountains are also critical habitat for populations of globally declining neotropical migrant songbirds, such as the whip-poor-will and Canada warbler. Five watersheds originate here in the mountains of Macon and Jackson Counties. This area of the Blue Ridge Mountains is (no kidding!) the Salamander Capital of the World (note upper case). Salamanders are most abundant in old growth forests, where large amounts of rotting logs and moisture-conserving leaf litter provide optimal microinhabitants for terrestrial species. These mountains are very old, giving plenty of time for a variety of salamanders to emerge. During the Pleistocene era (about 10,000 years ago) , glaciers covered much of North America but did not reach these mountains. Consequently, these mountains became a refuge for many species of plants and animals. Many species remained within habitat earth islands on isolated mountain peaks. New salamanders continue to be discovered. DNA techniques have determined that identical looking salamanders are in fact genetically distinct species.
Optional access to two outdoor pools, tennis courts and one heated indoor pool and health club. Great birding. Powerful optics provided. Great walking areas. This condo sits directly on Fairfield Lake. The main balcony is a wrap-around and is about sixty feet long. There is also a private balcony on the third floor which also overlooks Fairfield Lake and provides mountain views.
