Lovely cottage, very tranquil & perfectly placed for north & south coasts
Stable Cottage suited us well. The owners happily added a 3rd bed to the twin room for us (extra cost) at the last minute and there was plenty of space for 2 adults and 3 fully grown teenagers. Everything we needed was there and we arrived to a delicious home made cream tea. Our dog was very welcome (extra cost).
The gardens and views are beautiful as is the grand Old building and main terrace. The small patio area directly outside the front door is shared with 3 other properties so not private, and we were disappointed with the pool area - Overgrown with broken garden furniture, so not very appealing.
We enjoyed our time at Stable Cottage, Peregrine Hall and the owners were friendly and helpful. Our only improvements would be, the bedrooms could do with updating, shades on the lamps would be nice and maybe don't store hoover, high chair, travel cot, airer etc in the wardrobe !!!! We ate in most of the town's pubs all of which served good food, especially The Globe.

Stay at Lostwithiel
Setting absolutely beautiful, host very friendly. It wasnât made clear when I booked that there was more than one cottage to hire. There were in fact 5 that were all next door to each other (in quite a small area), so although we had a table and chairs outside our front door, there was no privacy at all. It was made all the more awkward by the guest of one of the other cottages being exceptionally rude and unpleasant to us. All in all I would say that the location was perfect, the host was very friendly but I would have preferred a detached cottage with a little more privacy.
We had a lovely stay at the Stable Cottage. Its a beautiful building with so much history and a great location for visiting Cornwall. The hosts were lovely. The accommodation was clean and had everything you need for your stay, even a dishwasher and washing machine. Some things require a bit of updating and finesse and the swimming pool area could do with more than 2 loungers which were obviously very old and well used. We bought our own in the end. I would definitely recommend staying at Peregrine Hall.
Really lovely converted barn space. Scones greeted us on arrival, my child was over the moon.
Comfortable property, beautiful grounds, quiet and relaxing. The town is a close walk and very sweet.
Only 2 things I would improve on - it was a bit dusty behind side tables and under beds, sofa. The mattresses would benefit from an upgrade.
