Booked this house for my daughter's graduation. We were looking for somewhere for 3 generations of family to stay in that was an easy walk into town. I had several questions prior to arriving and the hosts were very prompt in relying .The details about the house were accurate. It's particularly warm at the moment but we got a nice breeze once windows were opened and there were fans provided. We came well stocked with toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets etc but there was ample amount provided already .Lovely house , some of the couples found the double beds a bit snug ( but they are used to king size at home , but all beds were comfortable .Only one bedroom is situated at the front of the house so you do get obviously traffic noise which is unavoidable , but it wasn't too bad over night. There are 2 allocated parking spaces out the back of the house and we managed to fit 2x SUV size cars on there which was good.Very straightforward , flat walk into town ( about 10 mins)We throughly enjoyed our stay here and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again
House itself is lovely.Communication pre stay was great but didnât hear back when I gave feedback following my stay.Location is perfect, just a 5-10 min walk into city centre so no car needed once you get there. Also means close to train station. Cleanliness was just ok but could have been better.Bear in mind the double beds are small and not suitable for 2 adults to share. Think the windows need replacing as we kept thinking they were open and you could hear outside a lot! Could do with a little freshen up but overall lovely stay, ideal for what I wanted.
The home was ideal for our large family, 8 of us in all. It had a large kitchen and space to spend time together. A few aspects of the house felt a bit tired but nothing that took away from our comfort or enjoyment. Internet, washer/dryer, tv, and beds were all in great order. Parking as stated. Also, the owner was responsive and helpful when we had questions. Finally it was a leisurely 5-10 min walk to both Bath center and Victoria Park. We would definitely come back to this lovely spot.
We stayed here for 3 nights with friends. Itâs a very easy walk to town so great for exploring Bath. The additional parking behind the house in the big car park isnât cheap but is extremely accessible.
Being on the main road, the front rooms do tend to be a little noisy with passing vehicle and people traffic, but this wasnât a big issue for us.
While done up to a good specification, unfortunately the properly is let down by issues with maintenance and cleanliness:
- When we arrived there was a dirty rag on the kitchen table and most of the kitchen and dining surfaces were dirty and needed a wipe down.
- Some of the cooking dishes needed to be cleaned before use because they were too dirty to use as is.
- There was a lot of abandoned food from previous tenants in the cupboards.
- There were bags of rubbish blocking the front gate which remained there all weekend.
- The cover was off the meter at the side of the house.
- The chain blocking the parking had been removed and was lying on the ground.
- The previous tenants had left a note saying theyâd found blood on some of the provided sheets and that some of the banister had fallen off, but the note and piece of banister were on the front table where they were left.
- The shower in the front bedroom had significant dirt build up in the bottom of the shower and the shower heads were significantly crusted with limescale.
Overall the property is nice enough but is sadly tired and dirty, taking away from the experience.
The property is amazing. The house is large, clean and beautiful. The checking in process was simple. The property was much more than the photographs on the website. The rooms are spacious, bed are comfortable and bathrooms were clean. Thank you for allowing me and my friends to stay in your house.
