L'école de l'Indiana sera votre base pour s'amuser en famille. L'école se trouve à 2 pâtés de maisons du parc Kids Corner, à 3 pâtés de maisons de l'accès aux escaliers bleus de South Beach et à 7 pâtés de maisons des restaurants et des magasins du centre-ville. L'école inférieure a 4 chambres à thème et 3 salles de bain et peut accueillir confortablement 14 personnes. La grande salle immense offre beaucoup d'espace aux familles pour se disperser, jouer au billard ou regarder la télévision. La salle de détention offre un espace séparé pour que les enfants regardent la télévision et jouent à des jeux de société. La grande cour avant donne à votre famille plus de temps pour jouer au soleil. Un gril au propane et un foyer avec des sièges sont disponibles pour votre usage. Il y a beaucoup de parking sur la propriété.

Pour les familles nombreuses, cette unité peut être combinée avec le lycée pour 3 chambres supplémentaires, 2 salles de bains, une salle de télévision et une autre grande salle avec table de baby-foot. Louez toute la maison pour une semaine que votre famille n'oubliera jamais. Voir VRBO # 858708.

Construite en 1898, l'école Indiana a servi d'école primaire jusqu'en 2005. L'école a subi d'importants travaux de rénovation en 2006. Les mises à jour, la peinture et tous les nouveaux meubles ont été effectués en 2016. De nombreuses finitions originales ont été conservées, notamment des tableaux à craie, des portes de traverse, des boiseries et des placards d'enseignants. L'École de l'Indiana a été désignée comme site historique par l'État du Michigan. L'école est vraiment une maison unique.

Nos locations à la semaine se déroulent du VENDREDI AU VENDREDI. L'enregistrement s'effectue à 16h00. L'heure de départ est 10h00.

Wonder week in SoHa!

We had a fantastic time at the Old Indiana School House! It was so cool to see the history of the property while staying in such a well done and very clean rented space. We loved the location-close to the beach and to downtown. We enjoyed walking to get coffee, meals, and of course, ice cream! Such a wonderful week long vacation in South Haven!

Amazing place to stay!!

This is our go to place to stay when we are in South Haven. Beautiful neighborhood, close to downtown, the house is just as listed. Highly recommend!!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Indiana School House. Everything was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. The location is excellent for walking to the lake or downtown.What really surprised us was how much our adult children enjoyed the pool table. They had running competitions going on. They also enjoyed leaving messages on the chalkboards. With plenty of rooms for privacy and a huge common area to hang out, it's a great place to make memories.

Another great stay in South Haven.

This property never disappoints. The location is perfect and it's always clean and ready for fun. Spacious, and easy to feed and entertain 3-4 families. The outdoor space has plenty of seating for outdoor dining and we love having a bonfire here too.

We love this place

We have stayed here since 2017; initially it was for long weekends in the fall, and then we added a week in the summer (except during the pandemic). The space is beautiful, and offers space for the kids and the adults. We have walkable access to the beaches and downtown. We love this place!

Wonderful stay

This is a unique and impressive property. We stayed in the lower apartment and just marveled at the high ceilings, big windows, and beautiful furnishings. The space was spotless and well equipped with all that we needed. The beds were fresh and very comfortable. The location is also perfect…a few blocks from the beach in one direction and a few blocks to downtown shops and restaurants. We walked everywhere and had a fantastic stay!

2023 Family Vacation

We loved it here. We had plenty of room without being on top of each other. Beautifully decorated and the kids loved all of the chalkboards!! Nice outdoor sitting space also for everyone to enjoy. Loved the location which was within walking distance to beach and playground.

A true gem!

This was our second time staying here and we absolutely love staying at the school house! Wonderful location to both shops and beach, as well as a unique property both inside and outside. Clean, well maintained, fully stocked kitchen (cooking utensils/ plates/cups) and tons of space to both congregate and have some time alone.

Great Space & Location

The pictures do not do this place justice! It is so cute and spacious. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. It was only about a 10 minute walk into town/beach. Each person in our group talked about returning again with their families! 10/10 recommend.

Outstanding!

Maybe the best rental I've ever stayed at. Stunning building, wonderful detail spent in the design and decor. Pool table and games were great, spacious, plenty of amenities and a well-stocked kitchen. Easy to get to the beach or downtown, excellent neighborhood. Owner was great to deal with. Basically perfect!

Wonderful place for an extended family get together!!

This is my third time staying at the Indiana School house. First time it was a moms weekend, second was a couples weekend and this one. The house is perfect in every way. Lots of little cubbies for people to relax. Pool table on the lower level is always a big hit. Owners are very responsive to questions. Thank you for another great stay!!

Family Christmas in South Haven

We had a wonderful time at the Schoolhouse! The character of the building is really interesting. The conversion from school to residence has been well done with large windows providing great views. The property met the needs of a group of 8 adults and 4 children perfectly. The large great room with pool table, dining table and entertainment center was an ideal gathering space.

Beautiful, spacious place

The decor and architecture was impressive. We were also impressed with how well stocked it was with small items that would be needed but you may not have brought along. It was so comfortable for our large party of nine adults and two children to be able to spread out. The large combine kitchen and family room area was so much fun. My sons enjoyed playing pool there while the rest of us talked and interacted. It turned out to be a wonderful choice for our large family's vacation.

Impressive

Spacious, comfortable, and fun. We were a party of ten adults and two children, and we loved the place. The location was great, close to the beach and a great playground. It was very comfortable for all of us; the table accommodated all of us. The kitchen was well equipped, although a second refrigerator might have been helpful. The owners were very helpful with a last minute one day extension to our stay. We would love to come again!

Always a wonderful stay in the Indiana Schoolhouse!

This is our second stay at the school house and we have always fully enjoyed it! This time we were celebrating a long weekend with our parents and siblings/spouses. There were 8 of us and the space could not have been more perfect. The layout is great to have some space between bedrooms, a big kitchen/living/dining that is perfect for family gatherings, and another living room downstairs. The bedrooms all have themes are are cutely decorated to period/theme. Beds are comfy and everything in the home is clean and well-kept. We were super impressed with how well stocked the kitchen is - and we're foodies! The outdoor area with fire pit was a dream - lots of chairs and seating, as well as a couple grills and very large table & chairs under a pergola with lights - lots of good food and laughs around the fire at night! We also went to Tabor Hill for lunch & wine tasting, rented a boat to take out on the lake, and shopped around SoHa - plenty to do even in early fall season. The owners were wonderful and very communicative. We would highly recommend, and look forward to staying there again!

We all loved this property , it was a quick walk to the gorgeous beach. We explored the antique shops and other fun stores and restaurants . The house had everything, kitchen was well supplied , we all had fun playing pool table and video games on the giant TV. We had 8 adults total, and felt like we had room for togetherness and spreading . out. It was fun reading the history of the school with the original finishes that remain along with modern conveniences. The outside spaces were beautiful too! The hosts checked in with us right away to make sure we had everything we needed. Love the Indiana School house.

I stayed at this rental last year with friends and we all loved it. This time, I brought family along to share with them. This is a beautiful property with high ceilings and tall windows-so many nice touches throughout the unit, inside and out. We enjoyed the comfy beds, large great room with pool table, walks to the beach and downtown, dinner outside under the pergola, and an evening around the firepit. Everyone had a great time and went on and on about what a beautiful place this is. We hope to return next fall!

Kirk and Jen have been spending summers in South Haven for more than 30 years. We recently retired and moved into the schoolhouse full time. We hope you enjoy experiencing a piece of history by staying in our schoolhouse.

We love the family focused south beach neighborhood. It's close to the beach and close to town. There is a variety of full and part time residents, second home owners, and visitors. We love the energy that this diversity gives our neighborhood.
