This cottage could be lovely but it needs a lot of TLC, the double glazed windows all need replacing as the seals are broken so they continually look dirty, the paintwork needs refreshing throughout, the toilet cistern has been mended but needs replacing. For this reason we would not go back there.
It is in a lovely quiet farmyard setting and has a nice heated pool and is well situated for visiting the beautiful North Cornwall beaches and coves.
Our family had a wonderful week at Coombe Farm. The cottage was cosy, well equipped and the owners couldn't have been more helpful. The pool was wonderful - our boys were in it everyday - and the location is ideal for exploring the coast, Bodmin Moor and many other local attractions (Boscastle, Tintagel, Golitha Falls.....). We loved our stay so much, we are already planning our return trip!
Welcomed to property with tea and homemade cake and flowers all on the table waiting for us! Heated pool which we swam in daily, we joined farmer Jez and fed the sheep, goats, pigs and hens every morning. Abe our labradore loved chasing his tennis ball up in the fields. We went rock pooling on black rock beach, borrowed nets from farm! Enjoyed s BBQ by the pool! Can't wait to get back again!
Had such a great time, Jeremy and Lou were simply great! Was a really good location for exploring the beaches. The cottage has beautiful surrounds with lots of animals which can be hand fed. Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway. Great for families!
Morvoren Cottage is very well designed and well appointed - comfortable rooms, with TV in lounge and bedroom, dishwasher much appreciated by me, nice modern shower and bathroom, and high vaulted ceiling giving excellent light. The woodburning stove gave it a cosy feel in the evening.
Outside, the pool looked inviting, although out of season when I was there, the whole area of cottages and farmhouse is well laid out, and the views from the back of Morvoren, to the farm animals and beyond, are Cornish countryside at its best. Walks on Bodmin Moor and the Coastal Path added to the "let's get away from it all" feel of the holiday.
Coombe Farm is a combination of traditional Cornwall with up-to-date facilities in the cottages - the best of both worlds. Highly recommended.
A belated massive thumbs up for Coombe Farm! Such a wonderful winter break. Siblyback Cottage exceeded expectations both in its peaceful location and its high quality interior.
As an older guest I enjoyed plenty of delightful winter walks and birdwatching on the Cornish Coastal path nearby and the beautiful quiet beaches. In contrast, the Christmas lights at Padstow were stunning and there was a very lively atmosphere both there and at the Eden Project with all its festive activities.
Hosts Jez and Lou were unfailingly helpful and friendly, full of ideas, and it was a joy watching the animals being so well looked after.
Now, I can't wait to try a summer break at Coombe Farm when the heated pool, BBQ and beautiful gardens will make it even more perfect - if that's possible!
We had a lovely couple of days. The cottage has everything you need. Wonderful spot. Love the animals the owners very charming and helpful. It could not have been better we will be back.

We moved to the farm in 2013, and haven't looked back. We love the peaceful location of the farm, and the fact that it is so accessible that you can be back on the A30 in 5 minutes and explore all the lovely places there are to find in Cornwall.
Coombe Farm is a rural location of safety and peace. It is an ideal place to relax and chill out, yet a super convenient spot for exploring North Cornwall, and even South Cornwall. The heated pool is very popular, boasting temperatures of 30 degrees it is hard to drag yourself out. When you do, however, it is well worth it and there are so many fantastic places to explore. To name a few these include; Tintagel, Boscastle, Eden Project, Trebarwith Strand Beach, Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven, surfing at Polzeath, rock pooling, fishing for crabs, climb Roughtor on Bodmin Moor, Port Isaac, and much more depending on what you are into. There is lots for everyone!
Dozmary Cottage: Rural views over the fields and the animals, great for families or couples, comfortable and stylish, over the courtyard from the heated pool, feed the animals every morning with Farmer Jez, private enclosed spacious garden, perfect for dogs, has BBQ and garden furniture.
