Small but spacious cottage. Extremely well equipped. The toys and games were very much appreciated by our 3 year old. Beaches are in easy reach by car or 15 minute walk and the pub at the bottom of the lane is a bonus
We found Daisy Cottage very comfortable and overall we really enjoyed our stay.
I do have one complaint though, the washing machine left grey/black smudges and black bits on the washing, as far as I could tell it was coming from the considerable amount of mound on the inside of the door seal, once as much as possible had been cleaned off it improved the next wash. As this mould will build up again it needs to be dealt with ASAP.
Not so important but the bedroom T.V. had very poor reception, one channel only.
A great location for a week long break for 2.
Cottage does not quite look the same as the pictures.
Sofa had no cushions and rug was dark brown.
We loved the bed for its size and comfort.
Otherwise the overall impression is of a well-loved, if a little tired, family home.
Off to a bad start as we had been given the wrong key code for the property. Telephone call to Norfolk Hideways produced plenty of advice about lining up the numbers ( not relevant here( and banging the box. Eventully a call was made to the owner and the correct code obtained. No parking space available on arrival ( one of the essential criteria when booking) and space did not become available until Sunday evening. Parking at weekends difficult as the area around the cottages is used by pub staff .
Cottage Ok - clean and tidy. But lounge very dark and many appliances did not work - main oven had clearly been out of action for a long time; no outside drying facility which worked; radio did not function. No TV remote that we could find.
Weather was excellent but outside space very poor. Poor quality seating both front and back and rear seating area very scruffy.
A disappointment. We had expected better.
